If you have a similar style to Eagle his tip about tucking his pinky in is VERY underrated. Definitely try this if you struggle from circle's edge or further. It's a game-changer.
Uh oh... I was just looking for some rainmakers this morning because I finally decided to to get off my old go-to's, and now I need to snag some earlier than I thought. I was spin putting with Legacy hunters and some Mvp atoms, but I need something with a touch more fade. If you're a fan of the P2 but it's not perfect, the Rainmaker(shallower straighter cousin of the P2) is sweet!!
I ordered 5 rainmakers from their website and they were slightly discounted, if you are serious about getting better at putting highly recommend getting at least 5 of the same putter
Why does the new 2023 rainmaker feel like the P2 size wise and not as shallow and a little stiff? Is their a way ya coming back with the first rainmaker release but in black or blue colors?
Love the rainmaker, I use flex 3 for putting but love the prototype flex 2 for upshots. Which I believe Eagle does as well. Would love to see rerelease of a flex 2 rainmaker at some point.
Putting is a lot easier when there is no wind 😲 These past four weeks it has been swirly and windy in my area. I think next time you all should account for how putters reacting to swirly and cross winds. Tail winds are my mortal enemy. You need to throw it high and with tons of spin to get it there.
Wanting to Learn To Putt or Make More Putts? This is how I teach ppl to putt. Does Not Matter Your Style Of Putt All Putts Have The Same Destination in Mind, Center Chains! Take 2 String tie them to the outer edges of basket, take 2 more and tie to outer band outside the chains. Tie the 2 ends on the left 2 on the right, sides of your hips, this shows you your line, if you can fly the putter down the middle of your line, that is center chains, you develope muscle memory by executing each putt center of line to center chains. A week of this practice You will see the line with out the strings and know where your putter has to be during it's flight to the basket. When you get outside the circle 33+ ft ....You will then see that your line is a slight arc so you have to fly the putter on that arc inside the lines you Invision.... You do this for 1 hr or 100 putts and you will see Your scores start dropping due to you making 90% of ever putt no matter the distance :) Why Eagle uses 10 putters? 10x10=100 putts I don't have 10 putters I have 5 so I know after 20 stations I've made 100 putts ....
Mentioning his up close start is legit. I have the privilege of living in Boulder and he told me one day that if you aren’t making half your practice putts you are teaching yourself to miss. I saw a lot of people practice c2s but switched to weeks of bullseye practice and it really helped. Regarding the routine vs flow I try to incorporate both now. Flow at the start and then routine and pressure putts (must make 3 of 3 to move back ) to end the practice. Finally, try to be an elite putter for your rating. Don’t compare yourself to eagle or guys who are 1000+. If you are 800, be the best 800 putter which may mean laying up even in the circle sometimes. Just had a 40+ mph wind round on Saturday and had less putts than my 900+ card even though I’m 800. Didn’t make a single 20+ footer in headwind. Just made sure my drives and approaches left tail winds.

He's still pretty much a kid himself. Maturity takes time and there is a big difference between his skill and "ours" - there's probably so much more nuance that he could go into about developing a highly consistent putting stroke that would be lost on us and isn't really the purpose of this video. I would encourage you to think of this video as a 101 level video and then seek out other content for the 201+ lessons rather than complain about the brand. They are making an effort, which is good for the sport.

I would say incorporate the lower body along with the upper body. The flow of the body is like a slow but meaningful dance;)

My best tip is to aim small, very, very small :)
