Can you set hot pans or cut on these like stone? I’m assuming not. They are beautiful! I’m thinking of doing a bath counter that has nasty southwest tile with really wide grout joints. I think that I saw it can be done. 🤷🏼♀️
Ok, so you prep your counters by taping the wood sticks along the edges, correct? How do you protect your floors? Can you make a video on prepping the floors? I worry about them.
This turned out amazing, I just tried your epoxy with a sample kit for the 1st time and it's great stuff. I do art with epoxy, I haven't got into countertops yet. Your product is awesome it has No smell, no bubbles, cured like glass & no death bubbles. Its fantastic and easy to use. I am going to upload a demo of me trying it to my channel tomorrow. 😁👍
Just ordered a sample kit and can't wait to try this. I have had a counter top kit from another epoxy company sitting in my closet for 2 years because their process seemed too complicated. One video from you guys and I GET IT! So cool.
WOW!! So happy I found your channel!! I'm about to start a big renovation with a few resin projects. Just thinking Planning, Preparing and trying to locate the right materials has been a bit stressful. But now I feel like I can breathe. you guys are a one stop shop!!! These countertops are incredible
Leggari products are hands down the best I've used. Wish I could get sponsored by them! You wont be disappointed when you order a kit from them. There metallic mica powder blends in easy and dose NOT leave comets or streaks. Every countertop i've done came out glass smooth and left very happy customers.
Thanks Geri glad you enjoyed it. You can actually order or price out a custom kit for that exact square footage through the Counters section of our website at www.leggari.com. Simply click on Counters >>>> Order Counter Kit Here, then follow the steps.
It's like you read my mind when you picked my colors for the 1st dirty pour. I never seen this video, was looking up ways to do this type of work . Wow. Came out very clean
When one uses too much black in pours it tends to muddy the other colours. So less black and use prussian blue instead. Prussain blue is black mixed with ultramarine blue = prussain blue = dark blue. It enhances the brighter colours instead of killing them.... im an artist 😊 great work by the way. Youve given me an idea for my worktops in my kitchen😀
You guys have improved your techniques dramatically. Good job. I also use a roller and brush. No need for notched trowels or "chopping". That just makes for more work and bubbles.
I have bullnose edges on my granite countertop and main one is over 14 ft long. I saw the stick reinforcement you used for edges. Would this work for my edges? I’m afraid the tape won’t hold up. Also the island has one straight edge and other edges are semi-circled (it’s not square) approx 93” by 77”. Will this tape method hold up on my island? Thanks, great video and techniques, can’t wait to try.
I love it. I always wondered why you didnt clear coat the top instead of using poly. Now this is beautiful. I want to do my cupboard tops but when I ask questions and I've done it 3 times I never get my questions asked.
Yes you can do a clear coat of epoxy over the surface. We have 3 different top coat options. Glaze coat is our super high gloss top coat that lays out glass smooth just like the metallic epoxy coat. Our WB Urethane comes in high gloss and leaves a minor texture and we also have a WB Urethane that’s a Matte/Satin finish.
Hi - This is amazing and I always feel inspired after watching your videos. I have purchased your products and I have a few questions please... What is the actual working time in (let's say) a 70 degree room? Do you recommend Leggari for art projects, such as fluid art to hang on a wall? Do we have to use the top coat urethane or will the epoxy have enough UV blockers and strength to resist scratching and dents and to keep the light colors from yellowing? Is the urethane food safe on counter tops? I don't care for the texture on countertops left from the roller used to apply the top coat - how can we avoid that and get a flat, glass-like glossy surface? Video suggestion: show us how to apply an epoxy floor over a wood substrate? Should we use self-leveling cement before applying the epoxy? Do we need a prime coat? I want to do my upstairs hallway and there is plywood under the carpet. Thanks for all the time you put into doing the videos. ~ Nancy
I do cornhole boards and I'm always looking for new designs and techniques to use on the playing surface. I bet doing a dirty pour on it would look absolutely insane. Time to try out your product.
I do have a couple of questions: how do you smooth out the drip lines after applying the flood coat, and can the surface be sanded or polished if necessary? I love the way the pattern flows over the edges, I just want it to be completely smooth like the surface when I'm done. Awesome looking countertop guys!!
I definitely need to order this for my top coat, I got a different one and it dried with bubbles and ripples, I had to sand it down with 320, now I need to topcoat again, but I think I'm gonna order your epoxy
You got me with this amazing piece ! Never done epoxy but I will check your website for products ; maybe you could ship to Europe for a decent price ...
Very beautiful colours and nice technique. In the end flood coat looks bumpy with a pin holes. If the bigger bubbles pops too late it doesn’t self level to glass finish anymore?
We have 3 different top coat options. Glaze coat is our super high gloss top coat that lays out glass smooth just like the metallic epoxy coat. Our WB Urethane comes in high gloss and leaves a minor texture and we also have a WB Urethane that’s a Matte/Satin finish.
We usually throw them away because once the epoxy sets up it is hard to remove. If the epoxy is still a little wet you can clean with acetone or denatured alcohol.
This is by FAR the best dirty pour to date! So friggin sick!!!! I did notice that there were several spots on the sides that did not get coverage. I’m guessing the barrier could’ve been removed just a tad sooner?
This has to be the most favorite piece that you've EVER done. I think it's worth preserving - make this into an office desk and build a new counter top mockup. Seriously!!!
Yes it can be put over tile, but you need to fill all your grout seams with multi purpose bondo from Home Depot, then sand it smooth, this will scuff up your tiles also, then wipe it clean with denatured alcohol then you are ready to apply our epoxy. Take a look at the tutorial below. Thanks ua-cam.com/video/g8GzsL0kpns/v-deo.html

My favorite! Two questions: 1) how do I get a list of the colors used? The link references a kit, but it doesn’t actually take me to a specific page for that kit. 2) I see tutorials from other epoxy brands that show a heat gun being used to move the epoxy around and create interesting effects. Can I do that with your brand? Thank you

will the clear coat yellow over time if its outside in the sun?
Yes this product is UV stable. It is not recommended for outdoors on indoors.
How does your epoxy hold up around the stove top where it might get hot? Or even setting hot pans directly on the counter top.
We do not recommend ever putting hot pans or cutting on any type of countertop surface.
