Been hitting this for 14months every day, it’s a smoothie for a champ - protein powder 40-60grams, walnuts, heap seeds, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, almonds, cashews, 1x brazil nut, 1-2 dates, 1x dried apricot, chia seed, half avocado, frozen spinach, frozen kale, frozen blueberries just less than a cup, açai frozen, frozen banana, celery, ginger, turmeric, little ground pepper to activate turmeric, manukau honey or any natural honey (large teaspoon), 2x tablespoons of greek yogurt (or something else with loads of bacteria for your gut), water, oats. Blend for a solid minute, it looks like concrete and tastes like sweet ginger and it’s a meal for sure! 🤙
@@Lakey_Peterson Yeah no worries, it's my go to morning shake after surfing each morning. Forgot the Cranberries and creatine (3-5g depending if you need it and what stage you are at). Go low quantities of each ingredient, especially nuts (when I say low, like I mean 4-6 cashews for example) or you will struggle to get through it. If some stuff is out of stock, you have run out, or it's crazy expensive at the market then I bulk up the other stuff. If you don't like the mousse like texture, then do alternating days with the avo or just hold off on avo until you eat lunch or dinner. Often I don't add a Banana, as I like to have a Banana with another shake later in the day after work out with some cacao nibs and ice.
Forgot to say - Most people don't like it at first. It takes a bit to get use to, like coffee or wine when you first started. So just give it a bit of time like a week or two and then you will start to really enjoy it. If you find the fresh ginger or turmeric a little too much in the flavour, then just reduce these (I slice them and freeze them so they are easy to put in the shake each morning)

It’s a great way to get in a ton of veggies b/c they take on the taste of whatever else you put in them… people think I am crazy, until they taste them :) I add everything from broccoli to asparagus to my smoothies.
@@Lakey_Peterson I usually just add a handful of frozen, whole veggies… along with a handful of frozen berries/pineapple/whatever is in the freezer. So 1/2 and 1/2. Along with protein powder, chia seeds, coconut oil, and sometimes ACV for extra tanginess. I promise it’s not gross lol!

proly be better to zen out in bali, ments and a few of the secret spots in the off season, before the pipe contest. surfing creek and lowers isnt gonna cut it as its lacking power and shape, plus so cal doesnt even break like it did in the 80s/90s i can barely get myself to even paddle out anymore. north shore, tahiti, fiji, mentawais, rinse repeat. no reason to even go anywhere else tbh. if i was on tour id just rent out my place and bail tbh. thats the advice ive always given to my pro friends the last 30 years and they always seem to come back so much better and refined with crazy barrel riding technique and round house wrap arounds, front hand back hand just dialed.

@@Lakey_Peterson yeap, content is great. so bali, gland, panitain, krui, work your way up to the ments island chain stopping at all the spots and have fresh sticks shipped to ments ferry as you arrive lol. one way flights and one way boat to local surf spots with a 3/4 days window for swell and youll love it its amazing. you wont wanna come home. i rarely book return rides as i chase waves swell and wind direction. as i dont like being locked down to 1 surf resort i stay with the local crews bouncing around.
