Surfed Kewalo Basin when attending UofHManoa and had the awesome opportunity to watch Carissa grow. Keep growing Carissa, you are mentoring a whole generation of young women who are learning courage, charging and community from you. Great series.

I never knew about surfing's rich history and origin. This is so beautiful. Thank you so much for this series. I'm learning things I don't think I would know otherwise...

Very interesting… I’m wondering though if other native Hawaiians have a problem with surfing on the islands being marketed this way to the outside world? Aren’t they trying to drastically reduce tourism and prevent haoles from purchasing property at this point?

Did, you guys watch the film Blue Crush !? It's about girls like surfers who work in the hotel, they ate great friends and they live to surf. They walk out carrying a stone so they can walk on the sea bed.
By the way, I love Polynesia - I thought it was memory loss in parrots!
I have always wanted to go to Polynesia and one day I will.
It's great you wanting to be a strong force but I think you underestimate your natural greatness and beauty. Most people do. You are beautiful people.🌺🤙
