Scott does enjoy his job. He is a great spokesman for the company.
I work in cybersecurity. I don't even have a garden. Scott is so good, it makes me want to buy a farm. No I'm not kidding.
Scott makes it happen NOW.
@@Military-Museum-LP I think we have all seen salesmen talk the talk. I believe Scott backs it up too.
Thanks to Scott and Cole, I've just bought another set of Titan "Tru Power" tires (made by Carlisle tire) for my mowers for extra grip on steep slopes! They work great! No more spinning trying to reverse back up hill!
That’s a long story.. 😂
So happy to see Nave I have really missed her. I thought she was going to be helping during harvest. Little Rick is so cute.😍 Love to the family!
I was wondering if that was Nave. She didn't look quite the same.
@@delorisjones7729 She looks pregnant to me......
She's not even been on her own channel 🙄
@@dirtydogfpv1159 I am pretty sure I saw one of those black rubber wedding bands on col
cole hand, he does not show his left hand
So happy for you to have two combines, what a help. Looks like the rain is holding off. You are so blessed. So much to be thankful for. Honestly, hard work and keeping your machines clean and in good repair, has blessed you. Company's know that their very expensive machines are in great hands. What a wonderful testimony. God bless you, and keep you all safe!
It's always fun to have new toys to play with! We hope Nave posts on her channel sometime soon. I miss seeing her (and Summer) and the girl side of farming.
Thank you cornstar family for another wonderful harvesting video can't wait to see more.
Them tires looks bigger on the Green Machine. Lol. Beautiful day for combining. Awesome to see Nava again. 👀
Is she pregnant?
You guys are something else. Amazing the amount of work you three get done. Hopefully you all are making some good money.
That reel speed on the JD was flying. Slow that puppy down and it will help with that shatter loss. He was trying to bypass the thrashing and just knock the beans directly into the grain tank.
I'm 80 years old and have operated red, green, yellow combines and in my opinion the silver cleaner rotories put out the best samples of any. The last machine I owned was an N6 and I loved it. Why don't you consider them? When I started farming with my dad we started with a 2 row New Idea picker sheller which which was designed to only shell corn. It put out a perfect sample and the N6 was just as good shelling an 8 row corn head at 6 & 7 mph.
Imo Gleaners are the best.
Great Video Today!.... Can't say enough good things about Van Wall and how they are working with you guys to get real world comparisons on Red vs Green. Also nice to see Scott and Titan tire also working with you guys for the LSW comparison on the Combine. I am surprised though that Case IH has not ever seen the benefit of bringing you their Demos as most of your newer equipment is Case IH Red, You have such a huge following with over 520,000 followers so far the exposure surely would be a benefit to them. Hope you get the S790 dialed in quickly for the bean loss issue, and also hoping they bring you a corn head to compare the S790 to the 9230 in corn too. You guys have such a good relationship with your vendors and it is nice to see the interactions here for all of us to follow along with you. Nice seeing Hneiva today and Maverick too. And finally as always Thank You All for bringing us along on your journeys, already waiting for the next one 😀
Case IH has to step in with an quad track or another magnum and a grain cart
Scott and titan just want to be in youtube videos, nothing more. Hoarding in on people's videos. The guy is kind of annoying. I wish titan and goodyear looked after other customers other then the youtubers.
Nice move VanWall!! Great video as always Cole! Look forward to the next one
Love seeing the side by side of a red and green machine.
Do you consider demoing a Claas combine in the future?
I often forget with how young cole and Cooper you guys have work ethic🌽✨️
Hey Cole just saying about what you said before in the video about the John Deere combine and the Case's combine, as an idea if you like the John Deere combine I would keep the Case combine and ask to use John Deere with the Case combine to harvest the fields quicker.
@Cole The Cornstar
Happy Farmers Day 🚜 to ALL the Cole Star Family ❣️❣️❣️
I am a die-hard older red tractor guy but i'm at 6:55 in the video and I can't help but think already "oh shoot they're going to be impressed". The green ones I've been around are generally crop eating monsters.
These are awesome opportunities you guys get to take advantage of but also knowing mother deere and van wall get some great exposure also.
The folks I have worked for down in NC were Green guys. I can’t speak for combines, because I only ran cotton pickers , but I’m pretty sure that they are both comparable and I would imagine that each one has its own gremlins. I hope that you guys find the right combination that gets you the best yield. Much love from NC and thank you for what you guys do. 🤙🤙
Brand loyalty really should be a thing of the past they way most companies are ran today I'm sorry to say. If you can find better equipment that does what's needed who the heck cares what color it is. Most of the parts no mater the paint job come from the same overseas factories except for a few brands. Anyway sorry side tracked myself there for a sec. I love how you are always open to new tech to help make your business more successful. I will say however I could be wrong but I remember reading about John Deer and "Right to Repair" issues. I could be way off base so forgive me if I am.
Thanks for another awesome harvest video Cornstars.
God Bless all our farmers...
I'm pretty sure deere ended up loosing that battle with "right to repair". I want to say I read about that a few months ago.
Van Wall and Titian Tire are some awesome companies to come together and do this for the Cornstar family. Beyond impressive. Maybe its just me but the red combine just doesn't seem to be cutting it for being a class 9. I really hope this demo goes well for you guys.
I don't ever comment, but as a fellow Iowan, (Jasper co.) I appreciate these videos and tonight was how tiered you were 🤣 I feel that! But we are down to 4-5 days left of harvest. Most of our ground is seed corn so makes for very long spring and short harvest
Go Iowans! Thx for commenting Jordan and a bountiful harvest to u as well !
I always enjoyed the company of a dog while working. 😊
U should try a gleaner combines we have a r 65 its been turned from a class 6 to a 7 and it will keep with a class 8 in beans
I always find it interesting how different manufacturers are preferred in different parts of the World. Here at home in Germany i almost never see a Deere out in the field. Claas dominates here, next to New Holland and Fendt.
If that JD had a Crary wind system, you would be seriously contemplating a tradevin 😁
I'm interested to see how your comparison comes out... I'm biased toward the Deere machine, so it will be fun!
Van Wall bought our local dealership, they cut back on the inventory but their service is the same. Good luck on the rest of the beans & be safe!
It's going to be intresting about your opinion of the two combined. Big thumbs up, I enjoyed watching the video. A great big hello to Nave, it's great to see you again young lady, looks like you and Maverick had some fun. Keep up the good work crew
Man that john deere looks awesome on them big lsw tires. Van wall is hookin you guys up with all this loaner equipment
Nowadays most farming machinery is pretty much all on a very high standard. Decisions over which brand to choose are more about personal preference and local availability/ support than actual capabilities/quality.
Cooper knows what’s up... he’s got those Motts fruit snacks that absolutely smack😂
God bless your family! Thank you for sharing! Hello Nava!
Very interested to see more side by side with green vs red. Let the machines be weighed!!
Moving right along!! Loved seeing Nave playing with the puppy, so cute !!
Permanent, highly subject to change. I love it! I will be using that one for a while 😅
I love it when Scott turns up cause only good things happen!
Love seeing Nave and the family working together. Keep up the great work 🙏
Glad to see the dealer reads the comments too. I suggested his a while back 😊
Laughed out loud at the 8-10 years comment. He cracks me up
Great video Coil , and nice to see Nava . I think after you use the JD combine you will like it . Good luck on the rest of harvest season , and I hope you have high yield's .
Hey Cole, in John Deere Combines the battery dies faster when you pull the key out. Hopefully this was helpful, great video!
Hey Cole, Why not put a convex mirror on the end of the auger so you can see how full and when to move when filling a semi?
There are camera/monitor kits made for this. Some new grain carts and combines offer those as an option I have read.
Question: which machinery brands do you have available at your location?
Would it be feasable for you to choose any other brand combine? Like Fendt, Claas, New Holland, Gleaner? Surely you want to have a dealer for that brand nearby, right?
New Holland and case are the same company now days
Claas Lexion 8900, John Deere X9 1100, Case 9250 are the top 3 in the world I believe. Don't forget the Fendt 10T too
Our family farm runs with fendt 1050's and a JD x9-1100 . It runs well for our farm.
Happy National Farmers Day! So grateful for all you do. Oh and Hi Hneiva! Sure miss your videos.
Class 9 combines generally are being used as contractors equipment or by large farming operations. They get traded after being used very hard Whatever you buy will have issues. Maybe consider buying a smaller new machine, it will do more hectares. Gleaners seem to work well and are less expensive with good guarantees.
Awesome to see you all in the fields be safe and god bless
Hey Heinva! Great to see her smiling face!
Cole I'm so jealous of how busy u are.
Comparing your 8 year old 9230 to a 2020 S790 is not exactly an equal comparison. While the LSW’s look cool, I’d stay with the Case tracks… no flats to deal with 😂
will be interested to see which one Cooper and you all think is the better combine for you, and what is better on each
Glad to see your harvest going well. Thanks for sharing the video.
Looks like that air bar that you all had invested in for the bean head really works well!
I've found that you go with the machine that has the best customer support in your area. Be it yard tools, cars, or tractors.
Nice to see Nave. Hate all those idiots that start rumours
I don’t know if you have the manpower for it but you would probably be better off with 2 mid size combine instead of 1 large one, these machines keep getting more complicated so they will break down more if your running to mid size when one breaks down your productivity is reduced by 50% instead of 100%
there old combine seemed to work great. if they had 2 of them it might be better.
One hard working young man. Never compromise your work ethic or principles
The most over looked farm equipment would have to be international harvester circa the mid 70’s. They had a MFWD system that worked, and the 1460 rotor combine was way better than anything else. Deere stuck to walker units for 20 years after IH released the 1460 in 1977. You could farm with a 1460 to this day. Given the fact that I just bought one that starts, runs and harvests perfectly for $4k as a project for the kids, heck, just buy 3 of them and make enough kids to run them. Each one will do about 1500 bushels per hour, but if you have so,e crop diversity instead of the usual corn and soybeans scheme, you will keep up fine with just one.
What I don’t like about the case IH fiasco, is who made what part? It’s a big monkey pile of manufacturers, and if they throw in the towel on one company, what happens if they supplied an entire system or component? I’ve rebuilt a lot of old equipment. If I need something for a Deere made in the 30’s, they’ll get the original casts or dies etc… out of storage and make it brand new. Hence, I’m a green farm. For the most part, John Deere’s are John Deere’s, not a Johnny cash song.
OPTIMIZING viewer comments from observations made at @4:00 am 10/15/2022. "DATA", 125,879 views, video run 753 seconds, 403 comments on red & green combines, LSW tires & miscellanies. Nave was heard for:04 & videoed for:08 for a total of 12 seconds out of 753 seconds & she got 33 comments for her time. Apparently, I am not the only one miss seeing two of the Crenstar family. After re-reading all 403 comments, my production analysis is that Nave received a very high percentage of comments for her 12 seconds, HINT HINT. That is 2.75 comments per second for Nava compared to .49 comments per second for the rest.
I’m surprised that your case/macdon header doesn’t have the factory transport on it/ field wheels
I want to know how they compare with fuel burn. All the people running S780s talk about how much fuel they burn. But I never hear Case owners talk about how much fuel they burn. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts.
If you really wanna compare, than don’t forget Claas!!!
I am a JD guy but it comes down to your dealer, we are going Red next time plus I like the IH rotor design better. Both machines are capable but times are changing locally.
Wonder why JD went to a Rotor 30 years after IH? When they claimed it was no good... Probably the same reason they have a Wanna be Qaudtrac.👌
All that red and green, looks like Christmas came early to Cornstar Farms.
Yellow brick road, who spilled? You have it so easy checking for thrown over crop, beans are so easy to find, Try looking for black canola seeds on black dirt.
I work with old school Gleaners. Still laugh every harvest when the neighbors have the implement trucks out next to the combines in the fields while we chug along. 😀😀
1965 Gleaner E still doing great for us.
Maybe in the future we can get a small shot of Sable working at the Coop with DC for old time sakes or out working on a grave.
You better believe it Cole. It is the only company that hasn't been sold and resold to people who don't care for more than stock prices. YES, they are expensive but how else to they pay for the R&D that produced better technology and machinery. They have been the farmers friend for a long time. I can remember driving a 1938 B Model. I could even start the damned thing. It was the best in the neighborhood and when it was running, there was no question that a Green monster was roaming the fields.
Life's a garden, dig it.
Cole, this is awesome - the battle of the combines or Red vs. Green! You’ve been trash talking John Deere for years and I love that they picked up the gauntlet - I can’t wait to see how this epic saga unfolds.
I've been watching your videos for a long time and congratulations on your work, it's a real pleasure.. What is your opinion about Serbian farmers?
Daddy cornstar admitted the perfect permanent way this beautiful combine can stay, if he repaints each machine to the other color and becomes the stealth owner of a shiny red John Deere combine. I bet John Deere will have a hard time with parts for that green 9240 combine
I can just imagine what is going on in Daddy Cornstars mind . So many changes in his life on the farm ! Cole the Farm Star !!!!!
Hi Nave! Good seeing you!
The reason a lot of people run deere is because of service. Meaning there are more dealers
If form pa the dealers suck at least one near us because there service sucks and people at parts are plane stupid.
Where I am the dealer is worse
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always 🌽 🌟
Scott needs to visit Sonne Farms and hook them up with some of those TIRES!
WOW That header loss was a bit surprising.
Is Hnava. going to drive a grain cart. this harvest season I know I butchered the spelling of her name hi from Melville Saskatchewan have a blessed day
Hope you have some corn hooks or a hefty supply of Clethodim if you're going to use that green combine in corn. Just saying!!
The comnibe starting up at night with the lights. Before going into the field was impressive.
I think your right, you should give them a good side by side test for 10 to 12 years.
Daddy Cornstar is a classic 👌
4-12 years trials
Nice!
Good stuff guys green doesn't always mean better.
The cab on the JD is so quiet compared to the Case..
The Cornstars know the nicest support system businesses
Hi Nave glad to see you again. When are you going to make another video? We miss you!
For the lights you have your dial on the steering wheel you turn then the lights will come on and then the buttons on the panel will work
i am so happy to see nave in a video
You guys should try a macdon FD145 on your combine not the 2152 or whatever you got on it now
Hydroflex says it all. That draper is sweet
Oh Deere it’s an S series 😂
Keep an eye on the both of those combines, as the red one may get jealous and run a bit more sluggish… it’s not an everyday situation, but it does happen…
High yields and smooth running to you guys!
Oh Boy, when that bean dust builds up! Look Out.👩🌾
What do you spray your hydraulic fittings with before connecting?
Are you going to have a what you liked and didn’t like vs the case sorta deal?
Double the power double the fun! 300 more to go then CORN!
I have to ask...
You have tracks on the grain cart, is that free spinning, or motor/engine driven? I can see the benefits either way.
Before you make a decision on the Deere you should demo a claas lexion
They should come with spare sickle segments and cutters.
How do you like running the green one? I assume it’ll be shared in a later video.
