Классна партія гроссів аж дух захоплює. І атака і захист, взаємні жертви фігур і пішкаків. А які мотиви красиві і естетичні на дошці виникали. Добра нічия.
I think if Ivanchuk would have been a little more patient in the middle game, he would have beat him. That early extra pawn snag and he had a much better overall position in the middle game as well. Black got lucky.
I think the position after Bg5 should be 1,5 for white. Black wasted a tempo with Qb6-c7 for no reason. Ivanchuk just wasn't able to crush him. This is why he was demoralized at the end.
The title of this video is prejudiced as Ivanchuk never outplayed Maghsooloo, in fact, it was maghsoodloo that outplayed Invanchuk leading to a lucky escape for Icanchuk with a draw. It is a shame to discriminate against maghsoodlu like this.
wsry, are you blind? ivanchuk controlled all game until he pulled of the combination, which was a point of no return. s.th. went wrong, but he had him under big positional pressure - without counterplay. both are GREAT PLAYERS and this was excellent chess, nontheless. very exciting, too. why is that discrimination? i dont get it.
@@chessandmathguy you are wrong, outplayed means from move one till the end, of course, we are aware that Maghssodloo is higher rated and stronger player but Ivanchuk in his youth was strong too.
Should be a draw right? Why is Ivanchuk making the hand gesture of resignation with a sad face rather than the open hand gesture for a draw with a more asking face?

porque él debía ganar la partida.... y al empatar pierde el match
Because he must to won with white pieces, especially because he was down in total table in front of parham!he lose after games!parham won the tournament!!
I like Rxf4 for the genius factor, but it doesn't seem to win. The simple thing is that if the attack doesn't lead to mate and you are a rook down you just can switch to perpetual check - if this is possible. At the end master player Ivanchuk could be happy with the draw.
I thought Ivanchuk had the upper hand until 47:47 then it started going down hill. Think he should have used his Knight sooner, corner the king or get rid of the Bishop, then move the second pawn. Using the Rook to take the pawn was not good.
The position after Qxh6 (+-) is something that most of you will know from team games. The team mates say: "Hey, our man on board six is winning, he is a pawn up!" "Yes, I guess, he is winning,. Should I offer a draw in my game?" "You can do so because our man on board six is winning. He picked the pawn on h6 for free. It can't go better!" This is the truth, but the truth is that a grandmaster like Ivanchuk is not able to win this position as you would also not do in your team game. Why is this so? I think it is because your opponent doesn't let go. He just don't want you to get an easy win like this.
@@Rapidchess I love Vasily and he is a great player who made history in chess.Yet he was a pawn up and at the end just managed to draw, which means,he shouldn't be very happy with this game. majid Vafa The white queen trades for the two black rooks, and then it is a pawn race. Black promotes first, but it does not matter, because white promotes right after them. A queen vs a queen is an easy draw from there...
Ну ладно Вася , типа гений - ход угадать не возможно ....юноша толстенький тоже нереально непредсказуем ...думал великие люди играют ....ан нет на редкость низкий уровень с обоих сторон ....

This sort of chess video is exactly what we need.
i would watch Ivanchuk all day
That was a draw. Rook takes pawn, queen takes rook, king takes rook, pawn h7, pawn e7, pawn promote to queen, pawn promote to queen
indeed it is tables
wow... so many wrong moves I don't know where to begin.

too many for my likings

Sitting across the table from Ivanchuk would be terrifying.
Parham won the tournament!👌
Are you sure that there are enough ads here? I think we can fit some 49 more of them
UA-cam sets number of ads by itself, I wasn't adding additional ad breaks personally, sorry about that.
I feel so sorry for Chucky. He seems so sad at the end...
He draw, and it dosen't look like it has any chances to win at the end. Probably before the last exchange he had but dosen't look like a hard draw
Es que tuvo el ataque todo el tiempo. Tenia ventaja, pero empato
what a shame he almost got it with the attack

It's draw
draw
@@MrKasgar I know it was a draw. What I was saying is ivanchuk had very good chances to win earlier in the game
One tip, dont reveil that much in the title please! All the best!!
False title of the video... His position after opening was fine, maybe sometimes even better.

22.Rd3 is winning for Ivanchuk. 25.exf5 is winning for Ivanchuk. 33.Qc2 or Rh3 is winning also.
Are you burning because Ivanchuke could not do anything against a 15 year old? Burn burn.
not outplayed. outprepared. meaning emerge from the opening with a plus. has nothing to do the play from that point forward.

Not out prepared but outplayed. Chucky had an advantage but then played a speculative rook sac which ended in a draw.
they played too passive black must do f5 to attack on the king side and ivanchuk had a good move rd3 instead of qd2
It's natural, when one side of the bord is a potitional player!(parham)
Is it draw?

yeah, they agreed to a draw

Good game
At 7:02, can anyone tell why does Magdoodloo not play Qa5 for double attack on knight + attack on darksq. bishop?
The bishop can simply drop back to d2 defending the knight and lining up a discovery on the queen on the next move.
