- NOSFERATU - SYMPHONY OF HORROR was the first vampire film in cinema history. The silent film classic hit the cinemas 100 years ago. The most important filming locations for NOSFERATU, one of the most important horror films of silent film, are in Wismar and Lübeck on the Baltic Sea. But: Who were his "fathers" of the film classic? And how do the filming locations look today?

Vielen Dank. Das freut mich. Es waren für mich unglaubliche Augenblicke, dort zu stehen, wo vor 100 Jahren Murnau, Schreck und die anderen mit der Kamera gearbeitet haben. Einmal an den Orten zu stehen, an denen einer der besten Filme des Stummfilmzeitalters entstand, das hat was.
Super Dokumentation, mit viel Wissen und sehr liebevoll gemacht 👍🏻

Ein Meisterwerk und absoluter Klassiker den man nicht besser gestalten konnte . Interessant zu sehen das es diesr Drehorte noch gibt. Vielen Dank für ihre Bemühungen uns diese Orte in Erinnerung zu bringen !

@@AnderswohinReisen Ja, genau. Ich fand es auch sehr interessant, was Sie zum (damaligen) Hafenbecken erzählt haben und dass es früher tatsächlich möglich war, das Schiff im Hintergrund zu sehen. So weit war wohl auch die Retuschierung in Filmen noch nicht.. :)

Wie passend, ich mache gerade Urlaub in Wismar.
Vorhin stand ich auf dem Turm der St. Marienkirche und hatte den Blick auf den Wismarer Marktplatz wie in der Eröffnungsszene von Nosferatu.

The locations in the film were amazing I find these locations to be amazing in fact I actually went to visit all the locations in Lubeck and Wismar and I really enjoy seeing them all since this film was my favourite Dracula film of all time and that was why I went to visit all the locations I read love the fact that you went to see them all and I have to admit great video you did well done

Ja, Nosferatu ist DER Vampirfilm überhaupt und hat auch in mittlerweile 102 Jahren nicht an Faszination verloren.
Übrigens empfehle ich nachdrücklich die neu komponierte Filmmusik von Hollywood-Komponist Christopher Young, die Ende des Jahres oder Anfang 2025 bei Warner Classics erscheinen wird!
Ich habe die Drehorte vor gut 25 Jahren besucht und fotografiert und gefilmt. Damals wusste man noch nicht viel darüber. Mittlerweile sind die Drehorte allgemein bekannt. Es gab schon vor 20 Jahren ein Special auf einer DVD, wo neben den hier gezeigten Orten auch das Schloss besucht wurde.

Ich bin Amerikaner, aber meine Großeltern mütterlicherseits sind Slowaken. Ich werde dieses Jahr in die Slowakei reisen und die burg Orava besuchen. Ich habe das Gefühl, dass ich nach meinem Besuch dorthin ziehen möchte! Fantastisch!

Kleine Anmerkung. Nosferatu ist die älteste noch überlebende Filmadaption von Dracula und nicht der älteste Vampirfilm. Es gibt eine ältere bekannte (1921) und eine angeblich ältere Adaption (1920). Man weiß nicht, ob die letztere wirklich existiert hat.
