Would love to see your family pick a mystery box of ingredients and you have to cook with them (you could do a different episode for each family member) - something creative and fun !
yess like old school ready steady cook vibes
@grackle do this please
Love this video Grace, but i’m wondering how these are $1 recipe especially with so many ingredients!!
I was just wondering the same thing!
Same, these are definitely not $1 the avo alone is more than that 😂
Yeah I had the same question....
Was looking for this comment
@@perileonie506 So I did some digging cause I too didn't believe a dish with avocado could be $1 per serving. It's actually $1.54 per serving, which tbh still doesn't sound right

A video I'd love to see you buy the recommended shopping lists from lidil/tesco etc... for a family of 4 for a week and see 1 if that is possible? And maybe comparing which shop has the best options. Love you vids! ❤
When you held up the garlic and asked what’s wrong with it I was like, “Nothing, that’s a perfectly acceptable garlic clo--oh, that’s a bulb. Yeah, that’s messed up.”
omg the love actually Christmas is all around interlude, ur the best grace
Genuinely you should grow your own garlic. Elephant garlic is that giganto version, and you just shove a clove in the ground in October and reap a head of garlic in July. Easiest and most rewarding veggie I've ever grown!
I’d love you to make more food from different decades videos. That’s how I first stumbled upon you. But then again, a Grackle vid is a Grackle vid, I’m happy with whatever you put out 😊
Yes!
I am so glad I have my lunch in front of me because otherwise I’d be so hungry watching this-everything looks so yummy!
A lovely video, and request wise I'd love to see another cooking on a budget/cooking using leftovers video. And I have to admit, for french toast I'd just go for some sugar/cinnamon to me the chocolate sauce seems like it'd overpower the eggy flavour of french toast and you might as well toast some bread. That cinnamon cake looked quite savoury, albeit I prefer the classical more firm one myself.
There's something extra light and cheery about the grackle. Vacation did wonders 😀
Hi grace, love all your videos on baking in the home. Maybe you can do some French inspired bakes like patisserie or macarons. I would enjoy seeing you do some piping. x
loved this video as always! it would be cool to see a series where you make popular foods from around the world (e.g., Singapore, Nigeria, Brazil) etc. because I love seeing what other people outside the UK eat! :))
I think your French toast end up turning eggy bready because you let it soak up too much of the egg mixture. I’ve found it better to just do a very quick dunk and straight into the pan. Hope that helps
Hi Grace! I’m not sure if you’ll see this, but I am a long time viewer and your videos always make me happy. I anticipate every post and I’m never disappointed. I remember in one video you said you liked watching silent Korean eating videos and I thought I could suggest a channel for you to watch. It’s a Japanese lady who makes bentos for her husband and she calls them “husbentos”. It’s a very wholesome channel and I think you’d really enjoy it. Anyways if you see this I love you 💕 and I hope that the laughs and smiles that you give to others are given back to you tenfold!
Hello Grace! I used to hate French toast because of the eggy taste. The key is not soaking the bread, but just a quick dip on both sides. Also...sprinkling it with a little bit of flour after putting it it pan, helps to make it more crispy.
Loved this video! Would love to see you do something like eating very classic Australian meals for a day :)
Just what I need on this boring bank holiday Monday! Love these testing "x" videos ❤️
Oh my days, now that’s a cinnamon roll 😂
I am the same way abput chocolaty desserts. I have such a sweet tooth but I gravitate towards chocolate, other kinds of sweets I eat sometimes if they are available at home and that stuff, but my heart belongs to chocolate!
Any video of yours is just my comfort honestly! Get so excited when u upload lol x
To keep your parchment paper from rolling up, wad it into to a ball and undo it, it'll stay flat for you!
literal comfort person can't get enough of you xx
Just a nice tip: I make cinnamon rolls/slice with Brioch bread :D I take a slice, put soms butter on each side, then cinnamon and sugar all over, then bake it in a pan with butter till you think it's good enough and then put some icing on top. I love it! 5 minutes of work
I be feel the same way about olives! Everytime I see them I want to love them and think ‘we’ll Grace loves them why don’t I!’ 😆 🙌🥳🇨🇦
See... The problem with my love of your cooking videos is that I always want to make what you have because it looks AMAZING!
I annoyingly pre-cooked some pasta for today so I don't think I can fit french toast as well haha
I think its time to do some collabs I had an idea for A meal with Grace - breakfast/lunch or dinner. This would be where you cook a meal for a guest/s they choose a dish prior and you cook it. I really love the content of your videos where you cook for/sit and talk food with your family and friends. I would also love to see you make Korean toast recipes they look amazing🙂
perfect timing grace! just finished work and i watching on my commute home ✨
I’m I the only one impressed that she has the rolling pin inside of the paper towels? 🤣
I’d love to see you do the uk version of dumpster diving. In Ireland everything is locked away but I think marks and Spencer’s with you dump everything into small green bins . Be safe anyway
Marks and spencers signed up to give it to the needy even years ago they have to others.
@@andrewmartin2103 yes but if no charity collects it on a particular night, it gets dumped
1:38 it would mean yeeting out of the situation. it's perfect. i love it. gonna steal that one
I can almost feel the softness and texture of that cake telepathically 😄
You did a great job roasting the marshmallows. Looks like your dad taught you well 😊
Curnntly at home 🏠 in nz with the Rona watching you but say cheering me up 🌷
Grace, love your jewellery. I'm making the transition from silver to gold, and taking out all my piercings because I'm turning 44 and it's time to grow up lol Can you recommend any brands?
100% get a rice cooker. I have a $20 one off Amazon and it does a bang up job. Just be careful of leaving it on the warm setting for too long because it continues to cook. If my food going with the rice isn't quite ready when the rice is done cooking, I just unplug it and leave it in the cooker with the lid on. Stays hot but doesn't keep cooking.
Oh my goodness when Grace took the rolling pin out of the kitchen roll holder my mind was blown
So, to give the french toast one last go, to decide whether or not how you feel about it, 😉, make the first recipe of the toast, with the second recipe sauce! Also, it's fun to switch up the bread, like a day old apple bread, or raisin bread.
I was confused at first because these recipes are not one dollar then I realized you meant 1 dollar per portion 😂
try portuguese food, please! Much love from Portugal, I absolutely love your videos Grace 😊💗
Another wholesome video from Grackle to end the bank holiday weekend- the dream 😍💚
Hey grace! Because you said you weren’t sure on the eggy ness of the French toast nadiya hussain has a very good French toast recipe with no egg, which you should try :)
12:36 - my heart screams YEAH - my head screams SALMONELLA
My notes. Pink Chamallows taste the same as white. My family also eats French toast as a savoury dish, plenty of salt and pepper in the eggs and my kids have ketchup with it!
I couldn’t agree more about the chocolate dessert thing. Fruity ones can get outtttt 😂💕
Would you do a 'Cooking with subscribers' groceries for a day/week' thing?
I get into the routine where the veg/protein I buy is a little different week on week, but I essentially cook it the same way every time.
And I am also want to snoop and see what everyone else is getting at the shops 🤣
Grackle Version of chopped. Have a family member pick the ingredients and then cook with time limit
Trying out every earl grey tea!!!
The reverse dabbing sent me 💀😂
Wow the cinnamon roll is fantastic 👏 👌
Cackling at the reverse dab. We should make it a thing, for when bad things happen.
I’m confused about these being $1 recipes. Great video though, Grace.
I came looking for an explanation aswell 😂
Mmhmm
They are “$1” because you don’t count how much each ingredient cost you. You count how much is the amount of that ingredient you used. Example: if you use 1tsp of baking powder then it only cost you like $0.01 for that meal. If you buy 5 chickens for $5 but only use 1 chicken in the recipe then you count it as $1 towards that meal. Hope this helps ☺️
Not including staple ingredients you always have in the house maybe?
Really enjoyed this video! I would love to see you make a video trying African food, specifically Nigerian recipes for example jollof rice, puff puff, meat pie and chin chin. Ghanaian recipes are awesome too, check out Sweet Adjeley on YT - she makes Ghanaian jollof rice and more. There are lots of Nigerian UA-camrs with delicious recipes but I'd recommend SisiYemmieTV, Kikifoodies, The Joyful Cook, and Sisi Jemimah if you're interested!
another day another slay
Enjoyed watching this video👍
I would love to see a living off 10 pounds for the week video or using chocolate as an ingredient for every meal you make for the day :)
Please try making those chocolate eggs they look amazing
Are your pink marshmallows flavoured? The ones in Australia are just coloured pink but still vanilla
Idk if you’ve done this in the past or not but you could follow a recipe for Korean fried chicken or do a spicy Korean food taste test from a local place - I’m obsessed with Korean food atm 😂
speaking of starting your own garlic farm, you should do omaking recipes with fruit and veg that you've grown yourself and see how it compares to shop brought!!!!
I would like to see you try to recreate some of the dishes from this years masterchef :-)
Crying at your reverse dab 😂
You should do a campfire cooking video🔥👩🍳
Struggling to understand how those recipes were a $1 each 🤷
Good video tho x
Same ! Haha:) good vid though!
Its based on Texas prices (where josh Weissman is located). Food prices are quite cheap in the us, he frequently uses chicken thighs listed at 2$ a lb for these budget recipes. Where I am in Canada, chicken thighs are around 8$ a lb lol. I’m not sure about uk prices but yeah it’s just how much everything cost josh to buy in Texas. And I believe he does the price per portion.
@@Kitty-no3de Thanks for the explanation Kitty 👍
@@Kitty-no3de food is even cheaper in the UK
Definitely per portion. I think I’m used to 25 cent French toast
A collab with Nuttyfoodiefitness. Shopping together or cooking together or sumthing sumthing.
Nutty did an "I ate like Grackle for 24 hours" vid a couple years ago but would be fun to see an updated collab!
Ahhh Grace, just what I needed to get me through marking!
You have such a wonderful singing voice, I'd like to hear more :)
The concentration when doing the marshmellows
oh my! i'm going to make that quesadilla!
you give me such a nigella bites vibe
Please can you do a bannana bread video. 🤦🏻♂️ mine always comes out undercooked and I don't know what I'm doing wrong 😅
$1? New Zealand has entered the chat 😅
Jk. Food is so expensive here.
Good video though! 😊
Right? I’m from Aus and I was watching going, how the heck are those $1 meals, lol
@@asmrsue2440 even per portion there's no way lol
12:46 Grack finally got to smash an egg into her forehead 😂
Growing garlic is easy just put into soil sprouting cloves. Just make sure slugs can't get into the pot because they ate all of mine 😠
Lovely morning breakfast, keep up the good work. Me on the other hand, I shouldn't watch this on a empty stomach.
Do you keep your rolling pin in your kitchen roll?
Just wana say- I love a burnt marshmallow
Is French Toast not common there? Melting cheese is always good! A giant cinnamon roll! Chocolate egg? Hard boiled egg! Cool stuff! Thanks!
I grew up on French Toast so yours looked delicious but I think I would skip the chocolate sauce. I love a chocolate dessert, but not fond of chocolate for breakfast. Although I did give a chocolate croissant a try, at your recommendation, and found it to be very good!
MAKEOVER VIDEO PLEASE 😍
Thank you much love xx
I think you should try things that you think you're scared of or not sure you'll like...that's how I found my hobby and got over my fear of heights :P
How about a cookoff with your dad using the same weird random ingredients your family picks out like Chopped?
The size of the cinnamon roll!!😱😱😱😱😆😆😆😆
ASMR!!
Can you do more subscribers recipes pleaseee?? 🥰
Is the grey cardigan from Uniqlo?
On Sunday kitchen they get the guest to say their most hated ingredient/ food and then the chef is challenged to make a recipe with it that the person likes
✨dolla✨
How are these all a dollar though? Was hoping you might explain 😂
yeah I was thinking the same thing because I know for a fact the avocado alone here is $1.50 each
Its per portion.
does anyone else not get the 1 dollar bit lol
grackle is so outgoing it is terrifying. I do one social thing and im tired for a year
Think of it as joyful. Grace is full of joy!
ngl I'd watch a Grace's Herb Garden with updates in random videos where you can grow some garlic, basil, and all the things for all of your recipes
That cinnamon roll. omg
I can never find a place for french toast, bread for me it's exclusive for breakfast but then, the sugariness of french toast is dessert (too much for first thing in the day)
Would love to see a collab with BeardMeatsFood !
She must cook for @BeardMeatsFood and his title can be Eating Everything Grace Cooks
they have giant garlic at lidl
Grackle, also known as the pyjama queen.
A woman after my own heart ❤️ pyjamas rock🤟
@@harmonyhope1709 hell yeah
@@LP-xu5rr ❤️❤️❤️
It looks great, but none of these are a $1/serving unless you're feeding mice.
shockingly, food prices vary depending on location
@@Hannah-lr1uc $1 implies a country where $ is the standard currency.
@@TheBusyJane Do you know how many countries use dollars 😂 $ ≠ USD
@@TheBusyJane also, even in the US prices vary like crazy.
