Genuinely you should grow your own garlic. Elephant garlic is that giganto version, and you just shove a clove in the ground in October and reap a head of garlic in July. Easiest and most rewarding veggie I've ever grown!

A lovely video, and request wise I'd love to see another cooking on a budget/cooking using leftovers video. And I have to admit, for french toast I'd just go for some sugar/cinnamon to me the chocolate sauce seems like it'd overpower the eggy flavour of french toast and you might as well toast some bread. That cinnamon cake looked quite savoury, albeit I prefer the classical more firm one myself.

I think your French toast end up turning eggy bready because you let it soak up too much of the egg mixture. I’ve found it better to just do a very quick dunk and straight into the pan. Hope that helps

I remember in one video you said you liked watching silent Korean eating videos and I thought I could suggest a channel for you to watch. It’s a Japanese lady who makes bentos for her husband and she calls them “husbentos”. It’s a very wholesome channel and I think you’d really enjoy it. Anyways if you see this I love you 💕 and I hope that the laughs and smiles that you give to others are given back to you tenfold!

Hello Grace! I used to hate French toast because of the eggy taste. The key is not soaking the bread, but just a quick dip on both sides. Also...sprinkling it with a little bit of flour after putting it it pan, helps to make it more crispy.

100% get a rice cooker. I have a $20 one off Amazon and it does a bang up job. Just be careful of leaving it on the warm setting for too long because it continues to cook. If my food going with the rice isn't quite ready when the rice is done cooking, I just unplug it and leave it in the cooker with the lid on. Stays hot but doesn't keep cooking.

They are “$1” because you don’t count how much each ingredient cost you. You count how much is the amount of that ingredient you used. Example: if you use 1tsp of baking powder then it only cost you like $0.01 for that meal. If you buy 5 chickens for $5 but only use 1 chicken in the recipe then you count it as $1 towards that meal. Hope this helps ☺️
