Thanks for this excellent tutorial. I followed this video to change the starter in my BMW F30 from 2013. After removing the shields I ´ve found in this car that the starter screws are E10. To reach one of the screws you need thin 1/4" socket. The car is a 318d 2013 with manual transmission and the starter is 1.4kw, code: 8571905
Hi two times happens to me that my e91(automatic) did not want to start after being driven hard. I stopped for 5mins and jump into car but after pressing the start button nothing happened..no noise, no crank only lights on dash like when you start. Could this be starter? No error message on diagnostic. After about 30minutes car started ok.
@@SMLGARAGE that's what I think but why only when it's hot?? First time it happened when I was stuck in traffic in the summer for about 40mins..then I stopped and couldn't start..only after about half an hour, and then after about 6 months in the winter when I was driving really hard ..and again after 30mins it started ok. Is starter same for automatic and manual gearbox or they are different?

salut! nu se schimba la fel, e putin mai greu de schimbat dar tot pe jos trebuie sa lucrezi. e mai usor decat sa dai galeria de admisie jos si sa il schimbi pe sus.
Salut, acum 2 luni alor mei li s a oprit masina lin din mers si de atunci face doar “Click” curent are dar nu mai porneste, distributia nu este pentru ca nu are nici un mator in bord si nici nu a dat semne, dintr-o data s-a oprit din mers si nu mai porneste, iar in dimineata respectiva s-a auzit und zgomot ciudat! Sa incerc sa schimb electromotorul? Mersi mult

Daca acum vrei sa o pornesti si face doar click cred ca este electromotorul stricat! Dar nu are treaba cu faptul ca s-a oprit din mers.
