Reaction from the game developer Freezy: "Pausing the combat during the night and then you doing the first hit in the morning might have given you a slight advantage. In ranged combat one army always hits before the other army, reducing their HP and thus reducing their counter attack damage. Another influencing point could have been if both parties got the same amount of combat hits in before the combat was paused, we didn't see the part who got the last hit before the pause. So if you for example did the last hit before combat was paused and then you doing the first hit when combat was resumed, could have granted you 2 combat rounds in a row. Since the combat turned out pretty close at the end this could have been a deciding factor. Not pausing the combat in between may have produced an even more accurate result, but its understandable that you wanted to watch the whole fight live. Finally: Combat randomness is 20% at max (mentioning it cos in the vid 25% was said). Still a very nice educational test, good job!"

Clash of nations is pretty balanced. There are minor differences but the biggest variable is the player. You need to be active and adapt your build to the resources at your disposal.
In the 3rd battle at Naples he should have split all battle ships and meatshield your cruisers with his in melee to keep the battleships in the back to fire from safe distance. would have made a difference.
@@BMfoxgaming why would they? they still have 5 destroyers in the stack like now. instead of 2 5/5/5 stacks you would have 2 10/5 stacks. 1 meatshield cruiser in melee and 1 battleship arty type stack, just to protect the HP of the battleships for longer. the battleship stack would be weak to air then for the duration of the fight. but air is only a problem near coasts of enemy terretory, so you can take that out. would just have been nice to test this as 3rd option as now battle 2 and 3 are just the same. =D
@@Temujinkun that would be a good alternative if you are far away from the coast an out of range for naval bombers. However navy is used to bombard coastal provinces and to give landing units covering fire. There's little use for a navy in the middle of the ocean.
@@BMfoxgaming yeah, i know. but in this case you are attacking italy and italy is defending it's own coast which should be free from enemy naval bombers. Again, this approach wouldn't change much for the general outcome of your test, but it would have differented battles 2 and 3 a bit and maybe you would even have lost battle 3. (; of course this use case is very specific. I still thank you for this very informational Video. it took a lot of time to prepare and execute.
@BMfoxCallofWar that's why you put destroyers with battleships, the way I play is a little different. I will put 5 battleships 3 crusiers and 2 destroyers in a stack I'll make 3 to 4 stacks like this and seems to do me good. I use planes and artillery mainly on land. Light tanks and infantry or militia is the way I play. Naval bombers is a must. Especially on killing navy.
This is roughly the experience I tended to have as well in many of my games. I play a naval style World at War in most of my games, I don't know if I played since the adjustments to hp of the Battleships and cruisers though, but when I encountered cruiser stacks, I would often blockade the cruisers from ever reaching my battleships, by using my cruisers and destroyers, even submarines when I could afford to, to further skew the results in my favor. Subs mixed into a surface ship stack can drastically change the results as Cruiser and/or Battleship ranged fire vs subs is far weaker, unless it goes to melee brawl with destroyers in the mix too. Its good to see this though, cruisers are very valuable, I like to go with a full range of naval power, which is hard to do but worth it towards the late game if able to keep the majority of the navy alive for patrolling of the entire seas.

The most stupid game ever created.... Wtf is this. 8 hours productions, morale dropping as you conquer, soon you cannot afford to make any more units or upgrades even though you are the first on the map? This is just a lost time indefinitely and for nothing. And BTW if you invest in buying things in the game.... that would be your worst way to spend your money.. Really stupid game. As usual, first day will make you play, shorter times for productions etc... afterwards you'll end up building capitols (which are expensive and very time consuming and you can only build one at a time etc). Totally stupid game
@@deinmarsh4099 it's clear to me that you understand little of this game. You need to upgrade your production buildings to be able to produce your units faster. At the start of the game you need to build, research and produce delicately and prioritize as you have limited resources. You need to find a balance between economy and warfare. If you conquer a capital on a regular basis you won't have morale problems. If you are inactive however you'll struggle. You only have one capital so rebuilding it over and over again serves no purpose.
