Thanks! Yes, you certainly could use the Dollar Tree oven racks. It would make them heavier and would be better if you were wanting to put them outside too!
I commend u for ur work, I as a crafter from my business, u have created a well stabilize box, and of course, going the opposite way with ur red mesh,. Makes it last for years to come , ❤️❤️❤️
Very pretty.... will be trying to make these for my mom. You made it look easy wish it was that easy for me. I feel so clumsy when I try these crafts and feel like I’m all thumbs. Thanks again.
Thank you so much for this video!!!! About a week ago, I saw lighted presents on Overstock for 64.99!! I was determined to find a way to DIY them. Then along comes your video. They are definitely gorgeous and for about $10 even more beautiful 😍!!! I can't say "thank you!" enough...Happy Crafting!
I bought a 3 pc. set of the lighted boxes many years ago at a Thrift Shop, was so thrilled to have them.I pull them out every year and try to decide where to showcase them. Now, I can make a set for any room! Thanks for sharing.
Those are beautiful pieces. Very clever ideas you did with these. You're very creative and talented. I want to try this for my home decorations.Amen Thanks for sharing your ideas and God!!!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!!!!
This is so awesome!! I never would have thought of this but I saw a 3 pack of these at sams club for 60$ and I wanted them so bad!! But as a crafter I’ve been banging my head thinking of ways to recreate them and nothing was coming to mind!! Thank you SO much you just gave me the perfect tutorial to get something I would never pay that much for!! Your a true crafter and I love all of your videos! To the point but relatable and the perfect length and explanation!
I am helping my friends with their Christmas party this year and they wanted a presents-look for their centerpieces. I think I found the perfect project. These are beautiful. I would have to use battery-operated lights of course. Thank you for sharing this DIY. I love it.
These would make great gifts!!! Especially for people who already have everything!!! I just forwarded this to my cousin and her daughter. They are both very crafty!!! They’ll ❤️ this!
Lucky you & the family, vacation is always fun! These are adorable. What a great idea. Just love them. Why can’t they go outside? Thank you for sharing your creativity
If you used a combination of E6000 and hot glue to glue it and then sealed the dowels after painting them it might hold up outside better. Of course you would want to be sure and use lights that are for outdoor use. I live where we get a lot of rain and snow so it would also depend on the weather where you live how well they would hold up outside. Thanks for watching!
Love, love, love it! ❤️ I had made one prior but it was made with picture frame glued together and I as well left the bottom open so I can turn on and off the lights. Plus, change out the batteries when needed.
Oh my stars!! I have been thinking and thinking how to make these! I was thrilled to see your video this morning! Now I know what to do! Thank you so much!
Those are Really Pretty, and a Very Neat Idea. Thanks for sharing Your beautiful work. I hope To Make these soon. Have A Blessed Day and Merry Christmas !
I absolutely loved those lighted present boxes you made. When I heal from my back surgery I want to make some, I've always wanted to buy some but they are very expensive, so thank you so much for sharing your projects.
Such a great project. Absolutely love it. Im redoing abuch of ornaments that was on clearance last year at walmart. They look like a chalk board and they have little cardinals with greenery on them. They all say happy holidays which is on paper. Im removing everything. Going to paint the trim white with red. Paint the middle black and then write peace, joy, believe, and bible verses that tell the Christmas story. Last but not least the cardinal and greenery will go back on. These might go on the tree next year. Lol.
Thank you so much. I have wanted a set of Gifts like this for a couple of years but just could not see paying the large price tag. Thank you for helping me make my decor complete. Very beautiful! You did a wonderful job. I want to see if I can put one of the old wooden trucks in the white gift with more lights to see if it will show through. If you have any suggestions on the truck would you please let me know. My Decour is rose gold with all of the other gold colors, white, silver and pink. I bought a lot of crafts last year unfortunately due to an illness (chronic illness, so I’m trying to find something to pass the time and adjust to my new path in life). I was unable to complete any projects I had planned last year. I am hoping to make some money and have a good hobby that I enjoy. I have never sold anything before that I have made. I have made gifts for friends and family years ago so this is very new to me. Merry Christmas and thank you once again for sharing your talent for other people to enjoy.
I'm sorry to hear that you have had to deal with chronic illness. I know that can be challenging. You could only use one layer of the deco mesh to cover the present if you want to put something inside. That way it would show through a little better. If you enjoy making crafts it is nice to be able to sell them and make some extra money and there are so many ways to be able to sell them now too - Etsy, Ebay, Facebook groups, or even at craft shows and holiday bazaars. I hope it goes well for you. Thank you so much for watching and Merry Christmas to you too!
Chantel, Wow your crafts are so very awesome! I have seen those lighted boxes and have always liked them but never thought of trying to make them. You did a great job and your boss are awesome too and how they were displayed was very inviting to the eye. I was taking a walk past a house yrs ago that had old used different types of wood, glass, molding pieces - obviously a renovation project was going on. I had fun picking out a few items to rework into something cool and one of the items was an 8X8 glass clear block with a hole in the bottom. Christmas was around the corner and as I was walking home my wheels were turning. I had a string of lights - probably a 30 count and I had nice white 2 inch wide wire ribbon with holly berries on it. With the ribbon I wrapped it up to look like a present. At Christmas time I had it displayed next to my electric fireplace and lit up it added coziness to my living room. My sister bought a 5X5 glass block new from Michael's and modern podge a christmas napkin onto the front and sides and a bow on the top with lights inside and that was pretty. On another note it has excited me about the pig of dowel rods. I had not seen them. Every Christmas I buy fabric with snowman panels ok r nativity scenes and I go to Home Depot and have dowels cut down. I paint them with colors to match the fabric. I finish the edges and at the top u make a 1/2 casing and slide the dowels thru. I tie onto each end of the dowel pretty ribbon or thin rope in a coordinating color and I give them as gifts to sell them at my craft sale. I love your mini dowels for tiny panels. In closing John 3:1 is an awesome verse for today. It's been a rough day for me. It was mu first day back to work and I broke down on the way and had to put my vehicle into the shop for a car repair I had done at the beginning of Oct. I havent worked most of Oct due to my hosp stay and recovering so the money us tight. I don't use my credit cards because you need money to pay that debt. I havent had a pay check in 4 weeks. I came home and said outloud Jesus I know I'm in the palm of your hands. I grabbed my devotional book and turned to Nov 13th and the verse was Galatians 2:20 and today's study was wonderful. I'm glad you had a super vacation in sunny California. I lived in San Mateo for 7 yrs. Blessings, Rebekah
This is a super cute idea! I love them and I’m all for diys but the dollar general sells a set of 3 light up presents for 10$ and you probably used just about that much in supplies for the two you made. These turned out beautiful though and I’m sure they were very fun to make 😊
Wow, that's a good buy for a set of three! Unfortunately, I don't have a Dollar General where I live but I did enjoy making mine and it did cost about $10 for the pair.
Time to go back to dollar tree lol. I love these
This is beautiful. Just as an FYI, you can also use the Dollar tree oven racks and zip tie them together or hot glue them and then add the ribbon.
Not a bad idea!!! It’ll make them really durable!!
Thanks! Yes, you certainly could use the Dollar Tree oven racks. It would make them heavier and would be better if you were wanting to put them outside too!
I commend u for ur work, I as a crafter from my business, u have created a well stabilize box, and of course, going the opposite way with ur red mesh,. Makes it last for years to come , ❤️❤️❤️
From all the boxes that I have seen yours are the easiest ones and beautiful thanks for sharing 👍 love them ❤ 🌲🌲
Thank you!
Very pretty.... will be trying to make these for my mom. You made it look easy wish it was that easy for me. I feel so clumsy when I try these crafts and feel like I’m all thumbs. Thanks again.

This is the very best Lghted Present Dollar Tree DIY I've seen. Great job!
Thank you! 😊
These are so cute. I'm also excited to see a pretty lady with a front tooth gap like I have. It's rare. 🥰
Thanks Laura! Some people actually pay to get their teeth ground down to get a gap and we get to have it naturally. Thanks so much for watching!

That's so awesome! I'm glad that I could help you out. I love that! Some things are just so overpriced! Thanks so much for watching!
Beautiful🥰
Saludos!!
Desde colombia 🇨🇴 ❤😊😊
I was just trying to figure out how I could make my own light boxes, too. This is FANTASTIC.
Now, I need to figure out a sturdy way to stack 3 small boxes on an angle.🧐
CJ Woodford i would measure and cut the longer stick to get a box tht is in middle 😇
With the gift box open at the bottom, it seems easier to work with. Your hands can get everywhere. Great end result. Thanks.
I bought a 3 pc. set of the lighted boxes many years ago at a Thrift Shop, was so thrilled to have them.I pull them out every year and try to decide where to showcase them. Now, I can make a set for any room! Thanks for sharing.

I think these are terrific, but they would not hold up outdoors where we live, too much snow.
Perfect for indoor use though!
Very pretty.

I love your attention to detail. I've seen several tutorials on the lighted present and yours by far is the best I've seen so far. TFS!!
