Our Video is made who are not able to by tools you can try to make by yourself only if you are experienced and know how to use the hand tools.
But the videos which are experimental are only for entertainment and educational purpose only.
So don't try this in your home.
And if your trying to make any of the tools make sure to wear a safety gear and it will be on your own risk.
A lot of people slag guy's like this one off, but at the end of the day, if you're sitting at home wondering how you can make some rings up without too much trouble, this guy show's you how. No bullshit, no fancy words or kit, just a good basic tool for rolling rings. It doesn't matter who's idea it is, he's shown you how to easily make a rolling machine with stuff and kit you may have laying about in your shed, workshop or Man-cave, what-ever! Just to help you out. That's worth a 'Like' from any decent person.
Great workmanship. I would have used micrometers, surface plate, height gage with scribe, and better tools, but my roller wouldn't have worked a bit better than yours. It was a pleasure watching you work. With skills like that, you outdid $25-30 an hour US tool and die maker with all their fancy machines. Makes me remember the time when I bent a 2' rim by hand, round within 2-3mm. Took me an hour.

The basic idea is a couple of hundred years old. These were used to make wagon wheel tires way back when but this is a nice project for a shop with minimum equipment. Although I have a well equipped machine shop I still get much enjoyment from building projects like this.

This is NOT an AMAZING tool but it is useful.
Cool Tool. The trick is when you need rings of an exact size. D x 3.14 for a ball park length of material and then good luck! :-D
But you have to add extra 2 in on each side to get the peice to start bending or else youll a straight part in the circle

@Pilzy 88 Thats about right. Im amazed how people are praising in the comments these kinds of simple tools. This was already invented hundreds of years ago, so there is nothing unique in it. All these videos are just some guy drilling holes, twisting nuts and copying old inventions.

Use the already drilled holes as a template. Prevents inaccuracies.
Flat bar looks tapered, im guessing the roller tilts under load.

Use lubricant when drilling a hole in steel. It'll save your drill for a long time in good condition.
definitely, even a touch of cooking oil helps, must have been a mate's set.lol

I notice you don't use a cutting torch (oxy-acetalene). A lot of cuts could be burned instead of using a cut off disk.
When you are doing your layout, why don't you clamp and use hole punches?
That machine already exists, it is used in luthiery to curve guitar frets.. but good work!
