In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion. - Комедії
Fred always looks so vaguely disappointed in all of them, which is why he's so perfect for the show.
Chris lit up so much when Fred said football lol! Adorably british xD
What a minute! 😄 Fred looked very happy when he got to hear a Swedish "snaps" song. I have never heard that "snapsvisa" and was really pleased hearing that little tune. 😇
@@user-yu8sj4xo1z lol we are? Well you're all a bit disappointing so not our fault! Haha
I think he it disappointed tbh, it’s like he’s some kind of zoo animal XD
@@liamstrand9295 Nah, he's loving it. :) He spoke once about how cool it was to be on Taskmaster and become famous for doing pretty much nothing.
It’s always a good day when our favorite Swede makes an appearance
Hvem er Fred?
Was flying Fred in beyond the presumably immense Taskmaster budget?
@@Xerreasvensken i programmet, men här i Sverige så har vi ju islänningen😎
I'm Swedish, I live at the top of the northern part, but I have no idea who Fred is!!
@@danielmartinsson7481 He's just a guy, I think. Regular guest on Taskmaster.
This is quite much like me having to hold a five minute long conversation in Swedish, as a native Swedish person.
Same. The only thing I would do better than these brits is understanding the answers.
Jag förstår
I’m impressed Ardal was able to memorise that song in one night while being drunk.
You're forgetting all the times he's dined out on it and googled it to check what he was singing.
The Irish gain powers when they drink
He's Irish, in Ireland singing is the life of any pub.
Not only is he Irish, but also, that's kind of the whole profession of actors. Memorising lines is at least 75% of their work.
@@writeordie5452 but most actors don’t learn lines while drunk, in another language, without any script/lyrics.
Being swedish, when Fred is back, I know I’m in for a good time 😅 The swedish version uses an Icelandic person. That is also very funny 😅
Bast i Test?
@@redelfshotthefood8213 yes
Jag var sjukt glad att Bicana vann första säsongen.
Can i ask what did ardals swedish sound like to you?
As a brit it sounded amazing to me, but it's hard to tell if he was bluffing and doing some hilariously racist stereo type. Fk hyphons.
Also..didn't realise there was a swedish taskmaster, i was only aware of the english speaking ones! Alex must be absolutely loaded.
"As it turned out, I could speak Swedish all along" An underrated line from this series, Ardal has transformed into the british Creed Bratton for me
also funny cause he spoke pretty decent swedish until he started singing. xD All of the singing was more or less pure jibberish lol
@@andreaskarlsson5251nä inte alls. Det är en snapsvisa och han får till orden bra enligt mig iaf
'british' 🤔🤔🤔
@@andreaskarlsson5251 best example of “i definitely learned the song while drunk” lol
I laughed my ass off when he started to sing… he sounded like a realy drunk swedish alcoholic🤣
Judy's response of "you tuper super" is my favorite thing
It seems like the only thing Ardal got wrong was asking Fred if he was a herring.
and the pronounciation
Well, wrong might be a bit harsh. Kind of an ice breaker in any conversation. :D
I always reply "you too-per super" whenever anyone says "super" to me now.
Ardal playing the Irish up to the stereotype in Swedish is something I did not know I was missing in my life 🤣🤣
His accent was brutal!
One of the top surprises in Taskmaster history with Sven Johansson's results.
Fred deserved a huge round of applause when he came on screen. I'm disappointed in the studio audience, I know I screamed a bit at home when he appeared!
I was surprised by that as well, they must have muted the audience or something
it’s tasks like these where i truly believe i’d make a fool of myself on this show.
Any task will reveal me as a rushing fool or an amazing genius. I have no middle ground. Depends if I channel Rhod Gilbert or Jonny Vegas.
I had a dream the other day that I found a hidden win condition during a task that read 'put a 10k poem inside these cupcakes and we'll build a statue of you forever'.
Discussing the dream with my friends, we concluded that the most likely outcome would be that during the show they'll reveal the statue, lead me to believe I've done it, and _then_ reveal I've only written 9,997 words. And then destroy the statue.
Any task is immediately improved by the presence of Frederik the Swede 🙂
Excellent proof that we remember things much, much better when they are set to music!
And when drunk and happy 😂
Ardel must be the most underrated candidate ever, the more I was some clips back the funnier he gets
The best question asked: -Are you herring? Är du strömming... 😂😂😂
You forget Ardal’s probably been to his fair share of Melodifestivalen after-parties following the success of My Lovely Horse in the 90s 😂
I'm just sad they cut out the sax solo... 😢
I only thought of this long after airing but a possible way of achieving this easily-ish, is to go in and explain you don't know Swedish, then ask Fred to teach you the basics of the language. The task doesn't say you have to speak to Fred in Swedish, only that it's a conversation (which it would be), that you learn Swedish (which you would do) and that you demonstrate it (which you would by repeating what Fred says). Task complete. Maybe?
Works great until Fred doesnt buy it and you sit there speaking swedish and you cant reply :P
@@andreaskarlsson5251 Why wouldn't Fred buy it, what is there to buy? Your comment doesn't make any sense. You wouldn't be speaking Swedish as such, Fred would, you'd simply be repeating what he says back to him. It'd be a five minute Swedish lesson, nothing more.
@@Elwaves2925 for example, he could have been told by staff to speak swedish so thats what he will do? Task also clearly states that you sre to learn swedish and then have a conversation with fred.
And simply repeating what fred says isnt a conversation, its a monologue with an echo 🤣
@@andreaskarlsson5251 He could have been told that (he likely was as I think he only spoke Swedish) but it doesn't change anything as Fred doesn't need to speak English.
Yeah, you could interpet the task that way but it's not the only way. You'd be learning Swedish as part of the conversation. That's the workaround.
It wouldn't be just repetition though. The tasker would ask Fred how to say a certain word or line and Fred would say it in Swedish. That's a conversation right there, the tasker would only need to repeat it to show the learning part. That's how learning languages work, you hear it and repeat it. 🙂
@@Elwaves2925 "Learn swedish, you will have a 5 minute conversation in 15 minutes."
Thats the wording of the task.
You suggest they dont learning swedish in the alloted time given on the card and then have a "conversation" where they dont speak the same languages. 🤷♂️
And whenever ive been taught a language Ive been taught in a language I can understand. As theres more than just glossary to learning language. But would be fun to see how you think Fred would explain structure and grammar. ^^
I'm amazed that he actually remembered the melody of the drinking song, and also some of the words.Swede's very often sing when they drink in company with others, there are thousands of them, many of them set to the melody of a known song so at planned parties the host often print out the lyrics of the songs they plan to sing, or buy napkins with the songs written on them. The most famous one is Helan Går becuase it's really old and traditional and the lyrics are about drinking the first shot of the evening.
I've been learning Swedish myself and I understood about 65% of what Fred said in the final one! Very excited by that.
I think Fred has a great sense of humour. I like him a lot.
I hope Fred and Ardal got to go drinking together and sing lovely songs after the pandemic nonsense
We love Fred! I hope he had some fun with this task. Something to laugh about or to facepalm about
As a swedish person this is funny to watch. They say Hej, hejdå and those words pretty well to not be swedish
This makes me want to watch the whole season, this was hysterical
The whole season was hysterical honestly :')
You should see the Swedish taskmaster. They force the contestants to talk to an Icelander. These episodes are hilarious.
Do you have a link or clip reference for these episodes? They sound rather amusing. :)
@@nowhereshomeTry searching for Bäst i test (the shows name in Sweden), possibly adding isländska or islänning (icelandic), you might be able to find it on YT. Otherwise the show is aired on SVT here in Sweden (kind of like our BBC), if you can access that online. It's a fun and silly show here too. 😂
@@nowhereshomethe show is called Bäst i test
Trick to this is to learn the phrase "Hello, I am trying to learn your language, and wondered if you could help me? . How do you say [insert random word here] in your language?"
You can then just keep the conversation going based on "ah. And how do you say..." for as long as you need to.
I actually did similar with an Italian lass I was very fond of. She knew exactly what I was up to, but she found the whole thing amusing, so I considered it a win. 😂
They never said you couldn't go back to the caravan, just grab the ipad or whatever and take it to the caravan and talk to him there.
@@Yue_Jin this is also true.
Did she put out?
@@billbauer9795 we dated for about 6 months, and we were both adults, so "putting out" was kind of a given.
As a Swedish person this was so funny to watch
Judy's first word to him was "Goodbye" 😂
Love how they painted the back wall with the colours of the Swedish flag haha
Just love these guys, all of them. Always cheers me up when their series comes up on clips.
As a Swede who have seen these episodes when you have conversations with a Swede. I love it!!
Ardals Swedish is genuinely really impressive wtf
Eller hur?
He is the only one who thought of taking notes and bringing them in to read from.
Whenever Alex introduces a task it looks like he's overdoing it a bit to add some theater. When he was introducing this one and said "back by a popular demand", you could tell how honestly he meant it. Just how many comments and messages had there been, dear fans? ;) Not that I'm complaining.
i'm so happy Fred is back fr
8:00 Swedish chef mode engaged
Next time try Finnish! That would be fun 🤣
We need more Fred.
I loved this challenge so much 😂
I've been learning it for 8 years. It takes a while.
fantastisk!
I might be moving to Sweden in the future so this is a highly educational video
Haha alltid lika kul att höra någon försöka prata svenska 😅
Det blir mycket roligare från detta perspektivet :)
I love Chris's 1point smile
As a Swede I realise how difficult our language is for a native English speaker.
Sophie and Ardal were actually very good.
Fred är en legend asså
Fred my beloved
As a swede, the surprise song were indeed surprising.
However, I am somewhat surprised that no contestant has yet to figure out the link between "task master" and "the swede", as in, if you are on for a season of task master, expect to stumble over Swedish, so better brush up on it.
Very impressed with the song. Were not ready to just hear "det är så roligt att vara full".
Pretty impressed and boy did my giggle-meter go up! Thumbs up from Sweden
How in the world could Judy beat Chris!?!?! She didn't say anything at all. He at least said he was hungry. Fick Ardal någon strömming?
Gud va roligt 😂 som svensk skrattade jag mig harmynt!..🇸🇪❤️
Haha eller hur, inte ofta man hör svenska på engelsk tv
As a Swedish person i must say.... THAT WAS AMAZING! :D
This is when you learn 'tell me about yourself', 'tell me more about that' and 'carry on' then start with the first and switch between the next two
ARDAL!!!! 🇸🇪 Fantastic that you learn some kind of a Swedish song!
Take the tablet to the van!
HES. BACK!
That "snappa visa" (drinking song) was good 😮😂
It’s "snapsvisa". 🍻🥂
And yes, it was good.
as a swede, this was funny as hell to watch
Sven just spoke swedish with a finnish accent
Love watching this as a Swede
Those subtitles tend to go for what they approximately sound like in English, instead for the actual translation from Swedish
This could have been a six month task
this is so funny to see when you are from Sweden😂🇸🇪
Is it a thing to input multiple titles on a video, or do y'all alter the title after some hours?
I mean Ardal(?) seems to already know Swedish, his pronunciation is amazing. I haven't heard of him so maybe I'm missing something but NO WAY that happened in 15 mins.
Literally the wet dream of any nerd like me learning Swedish 😁
Som svensk är det här så kul att se
As a Swede i am offended by the fact that they didn't already know Swedish
“Hi guys” 😂
Tank? Where did she get the n from?!
UA-camr Sooper.
As a swede, I laughed the whole episode
Jag med 😃
Don't know why no one thought to just have the conversation in the caravan.
because the first part of the task was to learn and remember as much as possible and then go into the room with fred. i have the feeling also that alex would not let them stage it in the caravan as it defeats the purpose of the task.
plus there is only few places where you could stick the tablet to have the same eye level as in the room they actually do the task in.
@@Dog1818YT They never said they couldn't have the conversation in the caravan, they simply grab the ipad or whatever it is and take it into the caravan. There's also no need for eye level.
Haha bra fintä asså
You tuper super
As a Swedish person this is amazing 😂
You know there's more swedes than just that guy? Pretty sure he was in the other season aswell
Epic
Easy task to be fair
bayhay begayhay? wahey
My goal is to become famous in Britain and attend the task master and be on the episode where Fred is and then win that task bc I’m Swedish and fluent in Swedish
The Swedish man Fred is more famous in UK then in Sweden 😃

My swedish is so bad, but i think i would have suprised fred. Teheh. Fred is my celebrity crush! ❤
As a swedish person i can say They are all bad
🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪
I don't think Sophie was pregnant.
Its so weird they manager to understand such weird phrases i stead of just common conversations lol
And when the judge by pronunciation, I'm guessing the swede gave the review?
I wonder if he ever got to see Roisin’s 3rd breast?
