Part 2: Answer Alex's phone call. If you find a cuddly toy, you must carry it with you until you answer Alex's phone call. Also, you must be making a noise over 50dB for at least 50% of the time until you answer Alex's phone call. Fastest wins.

Bridget was somehow the smartest and ditsiest person here. Placing the key in her boot where anyone else would have to chase her for and the use of a bag
My first thought was to put it in my underwear. Not only can I run but Alex can’t really retrieve the key without assaulting me

You should always consider the option that you are the one that have to retrieve it, so make it hard for others to retrieve and easy for you to retrieve, like Bridget
But still came last so in this instance her method didnt pay off

you're always gambling I think, with no scoring criteria it's obviously a 2 part task but the 2nd part could have easily been "prevent alex from getting your key"

We did it in Sweden recently. Our 2nd task was tho to land yoghurt from the furthest distance into a fridge. Only the last attempt would be counted. Time limit was 10 minutes so there wasn't an annoying bounty hunt like in Taskmaster. 1 contestant put it in her pocket after claiming that she took a walk and threw it. She didn't let anyone follow her. Another person though went as far as shoving the key into his ass. Which made the retrieveing very... disturbing to watch xD

I would have posted the key to my parents in a different country. VERY difficult but not impossible to retrieve. I would have also lost the 2nd task by weeks.

So, here we will notice that there was no scoring criteria at the end of the task.
This means it's a trap
I would have smashed the box and told Alex all the information you need is on the task.
"All the information is on the task" it doesn't matter what the box says. I was hoping someone would just smash it open straight away.
you could argue that note was an instruction from the Taskmaster, just like the letter
Unscrew the screws. If it was almost impossible to retrieve the key within the time of the challenge, such as someone swallowing it, then that could be a viable option. It's not broken if you screw them back in.
This series made me a fan of Judy. I didn't much care for her before this, but she changed my mind.
Don't forget, she can borrow a dog anytime she likes - any time.
She was one of the funniest lovely people in this series. I loved all the contestants ofc. NO Waaay !

That wouldn't be an issue , because you can smash the box to smithereens but probably the phone would break too :) And yes you can break the box , ignoring the card that was in the box, as all the information that you needed was in the task letter.

Bridget is my second favourite contestant after Bob Mortimer, she's got such a great, unpredictable, surreal sense of humour
The fact that Alex is pretty much broken b y her at every turn just turns it up to 100 for me.
One of the primary rules of the show is that all the information is on the task. The direction not to break the box wasn't on the task, but on a random piece of cardboard they could have ignored.

They should be on the lookout for any task that doesn't specify a way of ordering the contestants, because it's likely not going to be the main task but rather a prerequisite for another one, and there are no points given for doing it best. Just like this one. It didn't specify that the most difficult but possible key to retrieve would win, just told you to do it.

I have to watch every episode Bridget is in, she's hilarious.
As I always say (to myself) if you see a task without a time limit/ the words "fastest wins, your time starts now" you should ALWAYS assume there's a second half and plan acordingly
I know i'm late to this... But if, as it was stated, "all information is on the task", wouldn't that mean that they could have simply broken the box with the phone inside? Why should you follow instructions written on a box, wenn all information necessary is on the task?

My first reaction to this task was just "river"
Then all throughout the first half, far beyond what I think would've taken me to find where to drown the key on that initial impulse I was wondering "why did nobody else come up with that? Would be nightmare though to retrieve IF it was necessary"

mine was to take it off the fob and hoik it over the fence… I would not have done well
An obvious choice would be burying the key in the yard. You'd know where the key was, and Alex would have to put some effort into digging it back up if he was the one to retrieve it.

I think I'd just put the key in my underpants. If Alex has to retriefe it quick and I would be allowed to run I'd run. If I had to stay still I would count on the whole ordeal being highly unconfortable (and at least funny). If I had to retreive it myself (classic TM move) I'd just have it at once^^

Am i crazy but aside from the first ring, there was no ringing on Bridget's? Is it just that she had already collected the other devices and then went back into those areas again but editing only showed the one go?
my first thougt was "flush the key down the toilet" it´s possible to reach, but very, very difficult. Thanks god, i´m not in this show

Technically speaking, the task didn't specify that they wouldn't be allowed to break the box, so wouldn't it actually have been perfectly alright for them to break it?
I don't like that unlike most tasks, here the worst performance in the first part is rewarded. I think contestants who didn't put a key in a difficult to reach spot had too much of an advantage.

The current series is fine, but 13 was the best of all time.
Why didn’t anyone just take Alex’s phone, ring their phone, and answer the call using their phone, instead of trying to find a random phone. It just says to Alex’s phone call.
If you take Alex's phone, hang up and make another call, then you're no longer answering Alex's phone call. You're just answering your own call.

So, in the Taskmaster community I am well known by at least 3 people for campaigning against this series. Take this task: a really fun task, and they all fared adequately. But can you imagine Joe Wilkinson doing this? Or John Kearns, or Katherine Parkinson? With those people, this one would have been legendary.
