The purpose of having a chicken with your spaghetti is to balance the sweet taste of the pasta with the savory crunchy texture of the chicken and it won't hurt to dip said meat in gravy. - A pro tip from a Filipina who has been devouring Jollibee since she was 8
they are focused on promoting the brand in the US that even their other brands such as Chowking has low quality now. such a shame tbh! I've been a fan since I was a kid. I hope they bring the same level of quality in their own country too.
There was no adobo rice but I remember Jollibee in the Philippines offering an adobo meal. This was either in the mid to the late 90s or the early 2000s. 😊
Jolly Spaghetti doesn't have sugar in it. The sweetness came from the banana ketchup used stemming from the shortage of tomato way back from before, it was made to cater for a kid's palate at first but grownups came and loved it too. If you liked the regular Chicken Joy then you'd love the spicy ChickenJoy, it has a tolerable umami spiciness in it that gradually blends with the juiciness of the chicken meat, Don't forget to dip it in the gravy though. If you'd want to try their burgers then i would recommend to go for their Spicy Chicken sandwich or the Amazing Aloha burger, you weren't missing out anything from the lack of french fries it isn't that special, McDonald's Russet Burbank potatoes are better might be better to just skip the fries. If you go for the Fiesta Palabok make sure to squeeze a kalamansi(local Filipino lemon) on it then mix it thoroughly until you cover the noodles with the sauce before eating. I don't know if they have lumpiang shanghai in there but its also a great choice and a staple in their menu, the meat is grounded so good its almost like Jesus' prepared those spring rolls don't forget to dip it in the sweet chili sauce too. New sub, I like your no nonsense approach take on this Jollibee reaction video I'd want you to level up and find an Authentic Filipino restaurant and try a Sisig, Adobo, Dinuguan and Crispy Pata too. Goodluck!

Try it the chicken dip in the gravy you can see the difference between the regular chicken and with gravy you try the spicy one and dip in the gravy omg it's delicious
great straight forward review guys and spot on video and editing qualities! try the spicy chicken (my favorite), spicy chicken sandwich deluxe, aloha burger, palabok, banana-langka (jackfruit) pie. the fries, yum burger, regular chicken sandwich are just ok but still decent. i like popeye's gravy actually but some say Jollibee's gravy is the best. you have to dip your regular chicken and fries in it to get that next level taste. the spaghtetti is made with the combination of banana ketchup and tomato sauce which gives that sweet savory taste. it's a hit or miss for alot of eaters. you actually did a good job with the burger steak mixed with the adobo rice or regular white rice. because the peach mango is gooey in texture you can mix it with vanilla ice cream next time. the best combo guys!! try halo halo (dessert) if they have it. with spaghetti, halo halo and palabok (with the lemon packet) you have to mix it well and get your taste buds go crazy! after this try authentic Filipino food at a good Filipino restautant near you if you can. looking forward to your next vlogs especially on filipino food. greetings from a new subscriber from California! take care and good eats always!😊 😋
I just stumbled on your reaction to Jollibee, I am a Filipino and have been exposed to this joint ever since lol but your response is one of the most real I have ever watched on YT. In general, most people who do food reactions aren't too open to tasting something that is not usual in the US.
The ingredients that use in jollibee chickenjoy is standard.. if you use 20 pcs of mixed part chicken, you use one pack of breadings and seasonings. So the flavor and taste is gradualy ferfect.. i was a jollibee employee from year 2002 until 2008 in the philippines.
Ok I just got recommended your videos, but I’m happy to see this video. As a Filipino Asian American, it’s great to have more Asian representation. Random question are y’all a Asian black couple? I’m happy to see a variety of Asian multi cultural relationships. Y’all are awesome!!!
I can't believe you didn't get a bowl of gravy with your chicken joy? You are supposed to DIP your chicken in the gravy ( the concept is inspired by the Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner ) Also, next time, get the Spicy Chicken Joy, that medium spice is a game changer, dipped in gravy of course. By the way, Jollibee only sells Leg & Thighs in North America. You need another video, and try the whole menu at Jollibee, including the Spicy Chicken Sandwich ( they use raw jalapenos instead of pickles ) If you ask me, its way better than Popeyes. Got your attention? lol. Seriously tho, even their Aloha Burger is the bomb.
We got the gravy but completely destroyed those chicken thighs in like .5 seconds!! Chicken was so good we forgot what that gravy was even for tbh 💀 next time spicy is definitely the way to go, we had too many comments recommending it

Can't go wrong with my Jollibee's Fab Five🖐. The amazing Chickenjoy with unique gravy, tasty Spicy Chicken Sandwich 🍔, sweet Filipino style spaghetti, the phenomenal flavor of Peach Mango Pie🫓 washed with fresh Pineapple Juice/Quencher 🍍. I'm pretty sure the algorithm will be so nice with you guys🤗👍
Nice. Next time, you should try their spicy Chickenjoy. They’re much more flavorful than the regular. Also, you might want to dip the chicken in their brown gravy. Try their Amazing Aloha burger. Also, for dessert, try their Halo-Halo. For this one, you mix and stir all the ingredients together, and then eat.
When you mentioned about adding that chili sauce on the chicken, we actually had that long ago here in the Philippines. It was marketed as the Chili Wings! Chicken joy, glazed in sweet chili sauce.
if the regular fried chicken already taken your respect, then try the spicy fried chicken dip in a gravy, it's on a different level. btw, nice video editing so far.
1. The best fried chicken is Churches fried chicken haha 2. Why doesn't that chain sell traditional Phillipino ( didn't feel like looking up the speeling for that lol) food ???
Looks like you misspelled Popeyes 🤓 also I think the Philippines has a really varied food culture bc of their diverse ethnic groups (and past colonization ofc 🙃) so that might have something to do with why Jollibee's offerings don't seem super traditional to most
Hahaha thanks for noticing and for trying filipino food. Try palabok and squeeze some calamansi mix it well and its bomb.. Maybe there coleslaw is not offered. But im sure there is on sides..

btw im from the philippines and i work before as a stockman from 1 branch here in Philly
you have to go back & try the spicy or regular ChickenJoy and MUST dip it in their amazing GRAVY
We had the gravy sitting right in the bag 😭 why y'all didn't tell us
Aloha burger on Jollibee. It has pineapple. My all time favorite. And their dressing inside there is so good.
Life's good 👌🌞BTW, you can do some Filipino food like lumpia or chicken adobo while reacting to Jo Koy's "Rice is Rice" or the "HULA Dance" stand up comic shorts. I'm pretty sure the algorithm will be so nice with you guys🤗👍
If this is Filipino fast food it must be like the tip of the iceberg 😛
Yes it is flipino fast food
I love your video editing,. Very professional .
Shoon will be so happy to hear it ☺️ thank you!!
Its a sin not to dip the chicken in gravy..
We inhaled that chicken way too fast 😭😭 missed the most important step
We finally got the memo about the gravy 🥲 so we made a pt 2 rb.gy/whvu0o
Part 2 coming soon
But the sequel's never as good 😔
Jollibee have NOTHING on Chick-fil-A. It's that "we don't open on Sunday" spice. LOL!!!
Absence does make the heart grow fonder 🥺
I never had Jollibee so chick fila is better
When you mentioned about adding that chili sauce on the chicken, we actually had that long ago here in the Philippines. It was marketed as the Chili Wings! Chicken joy, glazed in sweet chili sauce.
BRING IT BACK JOLLIBEE!!!!! 🗣
JOLLIBEE IN ITALY SELLS VARIOUS OF SAUCE (Sweet and Sour, Ketchup, Gravy, etc..)
if the regular fried chicken already taken your respect, then try the spicy fried chicken dip in a gravy, it's on a different level.
btw, nice video editing so far.
I'm ready to level up 🙌🏽 also thanks so much!! You just made Shoon's day
god dang! the intro is fireeeeee🔥🔥🔥
Wow thank you!! 😁 Shoon will be so happy
Ayo Jollibee poppin off in the states. Glad you guys liked it 👌 Get the spicy chicken and dip it in gravy next time.
I will never forget that gravy again ong 😭
@@ShoonandMimi No worries just keep up the great work 👍
I’m hungry watching you. Jollibee, let’s go!!!
1. The best fried chicken is Churches fried chicken haha
2. Why doesn't that chain sell traditional Phillipino ( didn't feel like looking up the speeling for that lol) food ???
Looks like you misspelled Popeyes 🤓 also I think the Philippines has a really varied food culture bc of their diverse ethnic groups (and past colonization ofc 🙃) so that might have something to do with why Jollibee's offerings don't seem super traditional to most
i cant believe you let that peachmango pie drop hahahahaha.i freaking screamed watching that thing fall off lol.
I always mess up the cross section 😭😭
spicy chicken joy with gravy is the game changer bro.
plus palabok omgggg
Spicy and Palabok are definitely next 😛
You've summon Filipinos lol
Everybody got the memo ig 🫡
You two are quite cute together. Loved the honest but succinct review.
When they were splitting the peach mango pie i was like "no, don't do iiiiit" 🤣
Everybody knew it but us 😭😭
You guys should try dipping the chicken in gravy, and the spicy one is a must try, also with gravy, then th chix sandwich and aloha burger
Next time 😈
Pro tip: Popeye's chicken dipped in Heinz ketchup mixed with Tabasco.
🙈🫣
Please try the aloha burger! Loved your video!
Thank you!! 😁
We all praying jollibee come here in japan😢
The one downside to moving 🥲
Awesome! A Good looking Yakuza Boss and a Gorgeous Lady! Perfect combination.
Why he gotta be yakuza tho 😭😭
Im so Proud To Be A Filipino.. And I Love chickenJoy so Much ❤❤❤
🇵🇭🤝🍗
I used to pour the gravy over my white rice too. Yum!
Imagine if they got the spicy.
Y'all got us so curious now 🤔
@@ShoonandMimi the regular chicken is only a canvass for the gravy
Try palabok and fyi jollibee has coleslaw as well.. ALOHA burger must try..
HOW DID I MISS THE COLESLAW?!??!!???
Also 900+ comments and three weeks later and you're the first person to tell me this 😂😂😂
Hahaha thanks for noticing and for trying filipino food. Try palabok and squeeze some calamansi mix it well and its bomb.. Maybe there coleslaw is not offered. But im sure there is on sides..
Im a filipino but best fried chicken are categorize by our mood 😂 there are times that the best fried chicken is mcdonalds. Sometime its jollibee. Sometimes its kfc..sometimes its popeyes 😂 just ask your tongue what will be the best food for the day 😂
