Fujitora has been my favorite ever since he bowed down in Dressrosa. Hes the ideal marine with his sense of justice. He was ready to lose his job just to apologize for Doffys actions as a warlord.
The guy who said that Fujitora blinded himself in both eyes because he heard Ruyma was a one-eyed swordsman and he thought losing both eyes would make him twice as cool. That guy should have won.

I like the admirals they are one of the best obstacles in the show. Sakazuki was just doing his job. Also or is kind of Ace's fault for doing what he did.
Sakazuki is underappreciated and misunderstood. He fills the role of villain exceptionally well and was the primary reason that the marines defeated the Whitebeard pirates. On top of that he did the most to threaten Shanks and Blackbeard. The dude has zero chill. His wrath is simply absolute and his DF is terrifying.

Akainu actually is by far my favorite admiral, that man plays no games gives 0 fucks and will melt you on the spot, it’s a great contrast to a lot of one piece characters.

Facts he’s stronger then aokji imo not by much . He always fights the right hands where as akainu fights the main guy /the strongest. Kizaru fought Marco , while akainu wb and aokji jozu. Kizaru was paired against Ben Beckmann while akainu shanks . Ofc it’s kind of head cannon what I’m saying , but kizaru did have better showing then aokji in marineford and obv akainu had the best showing
Akainu is honestly my fav actual admiral. I have hope that his backstory as to why he subscribes to absolute justice is done well. A good mc makes the story good but a good villain makes the story great.
Next poll: Straw Hat Grand Fleet members. Ranking the 7 Representatives + important members in the Dressrosa arc like Suleiman, Chinjao, Boo, Baby 5, Blue gilly, Abdullah & Jeet (Maybe more or less, but these ones I'm the most interested in). Putting an extremely prevalent character like Sakazuki in last place is a strong statement that your dislike of him is greater than your disinterest in the nothing characters
Agreed, I feel like I'm one of the few people who like Sakazuki's character. I get shit on all the time for liking Sakazuki, people calling me a POS for liking him, etc. I get that people hate Sakazuki, but come on now, there's plenty of characters in One Piece who are actual douchebags worth hating, and these douchebags make Sakazuki look kind... Orochi is one, Spandam is one, Saint Charlos is another, etc.
Kong surprises me. One would assume its because not many people realize his implied significance and power. If he was the grand fleet admiral while garp and sengoku were rising up in the ranks, that must mean he was strong af to keep those two under control.

i feel like there’d be a lot of ties. Hardly any arcs are universally considered the best. Even what i consider really great arcs like Skypiea and Whole Cake are hated by a lot of people so there’s no telling what the consensus would be.
@@ethanwatson6131 Ennies Lobby is the best Ark. It's universally known. The number of straw hats was just perfect also. Too many Straw hats is not good because they each get less individual shine time. If Brook would have been the last one it would have been nice.

If you don't like Akainu/Sakazuki for something, remember he's Red. What's also red is the subscribe Button, so if you want to, smash him in the face. (remember to do so odd no. of times because even no. of hits will cancel out his pain). Aokiji is such a cool character the design his power and the fact that he is warm-hearted while having a cold DF his perfect, also he rides a Bike on the ocean.
what i love is their power in relation to their character. aokiji is warm hearted while having the chill chill fruit. sakazuki is cold hearted as fuck while having the magma fruit. kizaru is "slow" while having the light fruit. fujitora is slightly different cuz its not power related (at least not that i can tell). but hes blind and yet sees things the clearest. really interested to see what exactly oda has in mind for greenbull when it comes to this thing.

Another ranking/poll you could do in the future is maybe swords? Seeing that we have so many from Zoro's katanas, Brook's cane or Mihawk his Black Blade. There are so many amazing swords in One Piece it would be fun to see how people would rank them. :)

@Luke Dobson I don't think Moria really had a second in command. His whole shtick was not wanting to use a living crew because they were too weak, so I doubt he's attached to the zombie commanders enough to give them a rank. If I had to pick a second in command for him I would actually say Oars since he serves as the penultimate obstacle, and Moria seemed to recognize his strength.

Akainu's ranking doesn't surprise me, I've seen plenty of people over the years having the inability to recognise the difference between disliking a character because they are a well written antagonist and appreciating that, and simply disliking an actually bad character
But this poll was about our Favorites admirals, not the best-written admirals. I love Akainu as a character, but "inside the story" i hate him. so I think the poll results were right.
@@muafey He isn't very well written. At least not yet. He's such a 1 note character. He thinks everything's black and white. If you do something bad, you're automatically bad and if you do something "good", you're automatically "good."

Ironically that backstory, when we see him order the strike on the fleeing ship back at Ohara, was the origin of both his & Aokijis unique takes on Justice. He's also pretty unique in the fact that everything about his design screams "hot head" yet hes usually cool calm & collected with a cold heart, in stark contrast to Aokiji whos the opposite side of the same coin. I think all the admirals are written very well honestly. Not to mention the fact that there also is still a lot of room for growth on top of all this that is pretty much assured to come & make them even better.

Kuzan is my favourite admiral, hes got a basic fruit but hes so powerful and is kinda passive if you arent his main target. I find him cooler after he left the navy though

You got me with the Ryokugyu point. I was like, "Who are any of these guys?" And basically Wiki'd them but put them all at the back. I put Z last cuz he was non-canon. As for Akainu, he's in this weird gray area where, though he killed Ace and attempted to murder Luffy, it still feels like we're missing so much about him to make him step into that 'love-to-hate' category that someone like Doflamingo or Crocodile fill. He's certainly a douche nozzle, but he lacks the depth that those other two have.

Overcoats draped over the shoulders are one of my favorite character design choices ever since i was younger and saw Azrael in Blazblue. It wasnt until i started watching OP and saw the admirals i now come to the realization that the characters i am designing for my web comic are gonna be looked at as One Piece ripoff because i just love Draped Overcoats on characters 😭

Was hoping Fujitora was from Wano. Or Green Bull being the Elbaf Prince. Since they supposedly had a mass recruiting session during time skip from all over the world. Still holding onto hopes to see Brook’s old county, how strong he was with a body. Will power seems to be directly linked with poison, and brook surviving longer then the rest of his crew. Being a captain himself and attaining high military rank in his county. It took so long to see him in a serious situation ( big mom) and how successful he was, is still hype. I wouldn't be surprised if Zephyr eventually does the Shiki Move and becomes a Part-Time Canon Character. Maybe at some point we will get a Garp or Sakazuki Flashback and then we find out who was an Admiral besides Sengoku

so Vivi, Caesar, Caribou, Coby, Carrot, pedro, Momo, Kanjuro, Kinemon, Johnny, Yosaku, Carue. Excellent list I might say. Obviously Caesar is the best, but Vivi is a very close second place. Am I missing someone (canon)? Did Law travel with them, or was he always following with his submarine?
@@buciallstar canon you aren’t to my knowledge, but I’d even throw in filler people like Apis, and I’d exclude Law, just because he’s not technically a temporary straw hat, he’s technically an ally. You could also argue Bon-chan, but that’s a weak argument at best
While I hate what Akainu did, putting him 6th place is doing him dirty. The fact that you hate him makes him a perfect antagonist for the series and his devil fruit ability is one of the best we've seen. I personally would've ranked him 3rd place, with Aokiji and Fujitora being 2nd or 1st, doesn't really matter as both are awesome. Kizaru for me is the weakest personally.
The poll is for "FAVOURITE" admirals and as relevant as Akainu is for the story, he is easily the most hated. So him ranking low is actually a credit to his character.
i wonder how much of that will change if Oda decides to flesh out those characters, because for me it feels like with the original Admiral trio, we might know stuff about them, but at the same time we really don't... like everything is shrouded in mystery, the fandom THINKS they understand these characters but in reality we don't... and our notion can completely change if Oda decides to give them backstories

akainu will always be my favourite admiral because without him the marines would feel like a bit of a joke, without at least somee strong people with different views about morality than luffy one piece would feel childish to me
Sengoku was actually confirmed as having held the title of Admiral, not just because Sengoku reached Fleet Admiral, but when Spandine mentioned getting the Buster Call from him. However, I don't think the same can be said of Kong. Yes, he is Commander-in-Chief and was the previous Fleet Admiral, but I see no evidence that a Fleet Admiral has to be picked specifically from the Admirals as there are enough capable, and even veteran, Vice Admirals.
People really hate him so much just because he killed Ace, even though (at least in my opinion) he's one of the most interesting, morally gray characters in the story.

what i love is their power in relation to their character. aokiji is warm hearted while having the chill chill fruit. sakazuki is cold hearted as fuck while having the magma fruit. kizaru is "slow" while having the light fruit. fujitora is slightly different cuz its not power related (at least not that i can tell). but hes blind and yet sees things the clearest. really interested to see what exactly oda has in mind for greenbull when it comes to this thing.

@Luke Dobson I don't think Moria really had a second in command. His whole shtick was not wanting to use a living crew because they were too weak, so I doubt he's attached to the zombie commanders enough to give them a rank. If I had to pick a second in command for him I would actually say Oars since he serves as the penultimate obstacle, and Moria seemed to recognize his strength.

Akainu's ranking doesn't surprise me, I've seen plenty of people over the years having the inability to recognise the difference between disliking a character because they are a well written antagonist and appreciating that, and simply disliking an actually bad character

I get why Akainu is unpopular but hes such a phenomenal character.
We have no back story on the dude and he seems pretty cliché without an unique drive or purpose.
@@CaptainOverLoad We do have some backstory tho. Ironically that backstory, when we see him order the strike on the fleeing ship back at Ohara, was the origin of both his & Aokijis unique takes on Justice. He's also pretty unique in the fact that everything about his design screams "hot head" yet hes usually cool calm & collected with a cold heart, in stark contrast to Aokiji whos the opposite side of the same coin. I think all the admirals are written very well honestly. Not to mention the fact that there also is still a lot of room for growth on top of all this that is pretty much assured to come & make them even better.

Kuzan is my favourite admiral, hes got a basic fruit but hes so powerful and is kinda passive if you arent his main target. I find him cooler after he left the navy though

As for Akainu, he's in this weird gray area where, though he killed Ace and attempted to murder Luffy, it still feels like we're missing so much about him to make him step into that 'love-to-hate' category that someone like Doflamingo or Crocodile fill. He's certainly a douche nozzle, but he lacks the depth that those other two have.

Overcoats draped over the shoulders are one of my favorite character design choices ever since i was younger and saw Azrael in Blazblue. It wasnt until i started watching OP and saw the admirals i now come to the realization that the characters i am designing for my web comic are gonna be looked at as One Piece ripoff because i just love Draped Overcoats on characters 😭

Still holding onto hopes to see Brook’s old county, how strong he was with a body. Will power seems to be directly linked with poison, and brook surviving longer then the rest of his crew. Being a captain himself and attaining high military rank in his county.
It took so long to see him in a serious situation ( big mom) and how successful he was, is still hype. But need more Jinbe and Brook! It’s been over a decade.

While I hate what Akainu did, putting him 6th place is doing him dirty. The fact that you hate him makes him a perfect antagonist for the series and his devil fruit ability is one of the best we've seen. I personally would've ranked him 3rd place, with Aokiji and Fujitora being 2nd or 1st, doesn't really matter as both are awesome. Kizaru for me is the weakest personally.
The poll is for "FAVOURITE" admirals and as relevant as Akainu is for the story, he is easily the most hated. So him ranking low is actually a credit to his character.

i wonder how much of that will change if Oda decides to flesh out those characters, because for me it feels like with the original Admiral trio, we might know stuff about them, but at the same time we really don't... like everything is shrouded in mystery, the fandom THINKS they understand these characters but in reality we don't... and our notion can completely change if Oda decides to give them backstories

akainu will always be my favourite admiral because without him the marines would feel like a bit of a joke, without at least somee strong people with different views about morality than luffy one piece would feel childish to me
Sengoku was actually confirmed as having held the title of Admiral, not just because Sengoku reached Fleet Admiral, but when Spandine mentioned getting the Buster Call from him. However, I don't think the same can be said of Kong. Yes, he is Commander-in-Chief and was the previous Fleet Admiral, but I see no evidence that a Fleet Admiral has to be picked specifically from the Admirals as there are enough capable, and even veteran, Vice Admirals.

People really hate him so much just because he killed Ace, even though (at least in my opinion) he's one of the most interesting, morally gray characters in the story.
