Just spent two weeks in Spain and went from Barcelona to Sevilla. #1 complain of mine is the Spanish attitude, shortness, and some nastiness. I had always heard about French attidude towards tourists, but I have to say Spaniards, for now, hold the #1 position. It got so bad I wanted to leave at the end of week one. We didn't and kept going, but it took its toll on our overall mood about this trip. (It was bad enough, I will put this opinion on any Spanish travel blog/video I see!)
I am so sorry that the enjoyment of your visit to Spain was tainted by the attitudes of the people you met there. I went to Spain a couple of years ago and my experience could not be more different than yours. I toured Andalucia visiting Tarifa, Jerez, Arcos de la Frontera. Zahara de la Sierra, Granada and Malaga. During the three weeks I was there I met many Spaniards and I found them all to be extremely pleasant, helpful and willing to help a stupid tourist who did not speak a word of Spanish with whatever problem I presented to them (with the exception of a waiter in Malaga who tried to shortchange me and then scooped the proper change when I delayed picking it up for a second or two too long. What he didn't realize was that Canadians tip by habit and the tip he would have received was many times the pennies with which he absconded). The lady who managed the hotel in which I stayed in Arcos greeted me with a kiss on the cheek and a glass of sherry. I have never had such a greeting in any other hotel. I sincerely hope that you give Spain a second chance and chalk your first-trip misfortunes up to an unfortunate and against-all-odds series of bad encounters. Spain is too beautiful a country, has too many historical sites, has too many culinary treats to be overlooked and yes, too many friendly people to be dismissed because of a few unsocial individuals.
@brianmcallister114 Thanks for your comment. No, they didn't completely ruin it for me. I have spoken to a few other people who have visited or regularly visit Spain. They all know about the "Spanish atittude"! Specially towards tourists. The one who has gone there a few times told me, you just need to know it and be ready for it, then it won't bother you or bother you as much. He is right, the second week, we came across the attitude/rude behavior but it was not as bothersome as the first week. I just want people to be ready for it so they can process it so it doesn't bother them. I think you just got really lucky in your visit. Or, your tolerance is higher than normal. Btw, I tested and noticed if I look at them the same way and ask for a drink with their type of attitude, they actually became calmer and their attitude melted a bit!! Psychologically, it makes sense. People are more comfortable or lose their anger when they meet the same type of people as themselves. Same with happy people meeting other happy people.
I plan on traveling to Spain for 9 days in September from USA. My passport expires Jan 22nd 2024.. I hear they need 3 months after you’re expect to leave I’ve also heard 6 months… does anyone know what it is? Or has anyone been turned down for having only 3-4months before passport expires?
Hi, I am planning to travel to Spain towards the end of December from 21st to 31st. I am planning to visit Madrid, Seville, Valencia and Barcelona (may change this later). Wanted to know how is Spain like towards end of December? Will shop/restaurants and places to visit be closed for the holidays or can I actually have a good time there?
Shops do not close in Madrid n Barcelona. For Valencia shops do close for Sunday n on public holidays, restaurants always open. Not sure about Seville but I can assure that restaurants are ALWAYS open in Spain for we eat and drink all the time :)
The script reads like a 7th grader wrote it for english class. Literally every place the narrator drones " is one of the most popular places" & " is a must see for anyone visiting." So many useless cliches that add no information to the video. And there's zero attempt at correct pronunciation. This has gotta be an AI generated video. welcome to the future, i guess.
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 As the people of Kurdistan and Muslims, we thank you very much for your support to the people of PALESTINE. (12:35) - Casa Milà's design is mind-blowing! Gaudi’s creativity never fails to impress. Barcelona’s architectural scene is truly one-of-a-kind.

Once you live in Spain, all the other countries are subpar…
Have you been there, or did you just add stock footage together?
I think the video is AI generated.
