Agree totally on Balazs’ point that customers will never want to pay more for a smaller version than the larger watch. Longines does this with their diver and it has to be impacting sales.
You’re not as explicit as you could be but the current main trend is definitely the death of the complications. Simpler watches that look good or interesting regardless of their mechanics. In 2025 we might go further and see quartz popping up in more interesting designs.
2025 and 2026 should continue to see a shrinking Chinese/Asian market demand for watches. Even a hint of recession in Europe or the US will further reduce R&D budgets (think shrinking German economy). So I see watch manufacturers making only minor changes to their line-ups. Dress watches remain a bargain when considering case materials and movement finishes.
Talking about purple, the AP Code 11.59 black/purple is a great watch! The dial, that stands out at the moment, is the Zenith Defy Skyline Tourbillon Felipe Pantone...and then, there is purple rain.
Agree with Thomas about the thin watches. I tried on the thinnest Octo Finisimo and felt like it if I sneezed, I might snap it in half. It’s a science project and not practical.
T'y for the video. For next year i hope red is going to be a trend between ruby and lie de vin, kind of dark red. I see a dark fumé red on the dial of Cartier Santos. OP maybe sunburst pourpre for example. I also see less sport integrated watches. Bronze is slowly going out too like météorite dials. Charbon will not be a thing. It's à shame that we may not see a lot of affordable complicated watches like annual calendar for example. But i hope micro brands will do it. Big brands will Come back using their classic hits but in a more dressy way. We saw à lot of sports watches and their will be some dressy watches next year. They will be more discret compatible with Chinese market. Let' see 😁
The most exquisite dress watch and with the thinnest classical movement is the Vacheron Constantin 1955 Ultra-Fine. 36 mm at just 4.1 mm thick with a solid gold movement. VC really should re-issue this, though fortunately I was able to find one in near perfect condition 🤩
I love the idea of brands bringing super light watches to the market. I think this is a good direction to go in. Not thin, but super light. Push this envelope. However, they must be approachable in price. Omega makes a super light watch but at $40k it is not approachable for most.
Panerai kinda has it together. Big just needs to get back in trend. They could do better with the current Radiomir lineup though. No sandwich dial classic dial Radiomir is a miss IMO.
I think the 'skittles' colour dials are fun, I just wish more were matte. I personally dislike the shine of sunburst and would far prefer if the coloured aqua terras had matte dials instead.
Thanks fellas! I personally would love to see more forged carbon cases in 2025. You talked about the uniqueness of stone dials and the lightness of titanium -- forged carbon has natural variation but is less flashy than stone dials, and it's 3-4x lighter than titanium!
Hate to say it but if the big open marketplace and auction house rolls out their no sellers fees for watches beyond the UK and Germany would be a huge hit to C24.
What's your prediction for watches in 2025? What's in? What's out? What do you want to see more of?

For some reason I've been looking for a dress watch. Nomos Orion are super thin and versatile at a good price for who's starting in the hobby
Really enjoy your channel guys. No nonsense and pleasant
Great conversation as always! You both have a great conversational dynamic. Makes it enjoyable to watch! Cheers!
Is it the price of the raw material for stone dials or rather how tedious it is to work with it!?

Says who?
Very interesting video! You mentioned that coral is actually expensive. What about mother of pearl?

Aqua Terra Good Planet 2016 - great finishing on grade 5ti ..GADA
21:23 Who is Adrian Baker? I know of Adrian Barker, but not this new guy. Are his videos good?
The previous generation Octo Roma was a nice option for somebody that wants a smaller Octo finissimo

On the purple topic, The Christopher Ward 12 ti in purple , the atelier wen is a beauty

Christopher Ward Bel Canto has a great purple dial!
You have the wrist of a 12 year old. Now that’s funny 😂
Not everyone is obese.
100% on point. I get so tired of tiny wrist watch reviewers and their constant complaining.
"You're dressed like a 12 year old" would've been a great comeback.

A titanium OP or a ceramic YM would be sick
Bad news: the Geneva Autoshow is discontinued. Anyway, very interesting video, thanks guys
I always suspected Balazs was an LA Lakers fan.
Purple is hard to match with your wardrobe no way for me
Please make Purple Great Again!
More curious about that red string bracelet 😮
Really hope 2025 is the year both Panerai and Bvlgari get their shit together and make smaller watches and interesting watches.
Panerai’s are meant to be big. Why does every watch have to get smaller? Go to the gym and eat some food instead

Panerai definitely needs to keep up with the trends better. Their smaller sized offerings are junk.
My wishes for JLC and even Cartier
Panerai Rocks
Really wanna buy 🟣 king Seiko, amazing colour 🔥👌

Rolex will be pushing more watches especially to their own Bucherer stores!❤

Carbon is very easy to scratch.

Lmao no. 😂
@ 6% is competitive against 15% but not 0%.
Agreed. This is a big move by eBay. If it works in the UK and Germany, then they roll it out to the US, Chrono24 will be in huge trouble.
Speedmaster is a nerd jewellery
Daytona is clout chasing jewellery
❤
Watches are going the same way as cars. Overdesigned and beautified with useless features and gimmickry.
that guy in the hoodie looks kinda weird...?
You observing that instead of the watches is weird!
I love this guy! A watch does not have a sex. They are as masculine or feminine as the wearer.
So how many guys will be wearing Barbie pink?
David Beckham, Duane Johnson, etc, etc, etc
@@jockdodson9093 Wow, at least 2 sales then... Definitely going to be the colour of the year.
@@davidjb3671 I would wear it if someone gave it to me…but i wouldn’t buy it. 😂🤣😅
I really hope the sportwatch hype dies out. Its such a garbage meta.
