Great videos all summer Keith. Really pleased i have discovered your channel. As for this game, really thought Clitheroe were in with a chance after dismissing Ramsbottom for a getable score. Then came thos opening two bowlers. Both unplayable on the day. As for the leggie, the batsmen wouldnt know when or where the ball was coming from. Very unorthodox to say the least. Great seam bowling of course. Its been a good season with hardly any games being called off. You have one up on the southerners, as they have had games called off by rain. Look forward to next april already. Thanks for the great filming

Thanks for your comments. Clitheroe had a good season in many ways - two cup finals and in the top four pretty much throughout the season but there is still a sense of underachievement as nothing was won. Plans are already afoot for next year. The club has offered terms to a New Zealander already.

@@keithfawcett5150 have no idea how this overseas pro thing works. One of the teams i watch are a similar level to yourselves in the Sussex Premier league, called Three Bridges CC. They had a very good allrounder from NZ called Will O'Donnell. He has now returned home. Are these Pro's sponsored and paid, because they have to live somewhere and earn so to say. Notice even smaller clubs have Pro's. Regarding the game i was so hoping to see one of Clitheroe's batsman hammer their Pro for 6. Unfortunately didnt happen. Wonder who your new Pro might be. I will watch this space. Thanks again

Just paused at the moment of delivery and that leggy's arm is bent 90 degrees!

That's astonishing how the leggies action can be deemed legal!!!

Must agree with you there, but i have seen other bowlers who literally throw the ball, but are still allowed to bowl. Take a look at one of the seamers on Castors website. Really strange action

Hi David, I'm fairly new to watching some of these local League games but I'm finding them very enjoyable. That tall gangly youth from Castor has an indescribably bad action !!!! His arms are all over the place. The leg spinners action is very low but I've seen worse. I used to play in the Shropshire League ( badly ) and there was a lad who bowled for Wem who seemed to bowl it from behind his back. Couldn't pick him for all the tea in China. Got to say that Mr. O Connor looked a very tidy keeper here. All the best, Neil.

@@neilcurran1589only started watching myself this summer Neil. All started with Sanderstead and Dan Allen. Since then, its been them plus Horley, Three Bridges, NWLCC and Castor mainly, plus some higher class cricket in the East Anglian Premier League. Am getting on now but played regularly in Kent back in the 70s and 80s( for my RAF units) Moved to Berlin in 88, so thank goodness for the guys on these sites who put in so much effort for us viewers. Wife thinks i'm crazy and says 'cricket again'😂. She is finnish so i will never try explaining to her the rules lol. Come to that its a waste of time explaining our game to any non english, mother language speaking citizen. Glad you also enjoy these sites Neil. There are certainly some strange bowling actions on here. Back in my time they wouldnt have been allowed 😂😂

@@davidwilliamgay4821 Hello again David, Got to agree I think your good lady wife will probably never understand it, but then again I can't really understand why her fellow countrymen would want to hurl themselves 90 metres into oblivion with two long skis on their feet !! My wife is Irish and didn't seem too keen when I asked her many years ago if she'd care to come along and do the teas. She did once and was aghast when I explained to her that we had to do it all again after we'd eaten. She got a bit more interested when Ireland won the occasional one dayer but like yours I think the wonderful game is lost to them. Keep enjoying the coverage and will speak again, best wishes, Neil.

@@neilcurran1589 nice to stay in contact Neil, and yes we will. Shame the season is over, as the weather late september is better than in was in mid summer. Still Clitheroe managed to play almost all of their games, and were very successful. Hope for the same next april. Know something about Shropshire too, as i lived there for a while back in the 80s. Lovely area. Best wishes also Neil
