Nice to see you out and about. The girls loved Divi beach when we were there in January . Thanks again for meeting us for dinner . Already planning for our next visit .
My first trip to Aruba was over 20 years ago and I stayed at the Tamarijn Hotel, I loved having my room next to the water but the beach was to many rocks and the water was rough and not much of a beach. My second trip there I stayed on Palm Beach and loved the beach and water but missed being close to water. My third trip was on a cruise ship and my fourth trip was on cruise ship back in October. I couldn't believe how much Aruba has grown, it was beautiful than ever. In October I went to Eagle Beach and walked to Palm Beach and back to Eagle Beach. I would have to say Eagle and Palm Beach are my favorite. Thanks for all your videos, I really enjoy watching all of them! Glad to see Marleen is back in Aruba with you and hope everything goes good for her!
Thank you so much for your kind wishes. Interesting to read about the different times you were here including the changes and different perspectives. Cheers to your next visit (whenever that may be)!
I love all of your videos ! We just left our stay at the Manchebo two weeks ago, it was a perfect vacation ! We walked up Eagle beach, and down Divi beach, we preferred the beaches from Manchebo north, but they were all nice. We snorkeled a bit at Tres Trapi and Arasha, which were both very nice, but much more crowded than I expected. We drove down to Baby Beach, which is a lot further than I thought it to be. I have to say, IMHO it isn't near as impressive as I expected it to be, I can imagine it was quite a place 30-40 years ago though. I heard the structure on the hill will be a 600 room resort, which will be the end of Baby Beach as people know it. It was our first trip to Aruba, and I didn't want to leave without a visit to the famous Baby Beach, but I wouldn't revisit it. I found the wildness of the eastern side of the island to be a thing of beauty and fear. You feel like you're stepping back in time, you feel inconsequential. Your senses scream to stay away from the rocky shoreline, as entering the waves is a likely death sentence. Aruba is a beautiful island, with wonderful people, it has much to offer those considering a Caribbean vacation.
Thank you for your message, I appreciate your compliments of the island and pretty much agree with all that you mentioned. I also feel bad about the Baby Beach area being too crowded that is why I often opt for the Rodgers beach next door. Thanks for watching, cheers.
@@LetsgowithHyro It's funny, I wondered if we might run into you during our walks on the beach, we couldn't have missed you by more than a day or two. lol We already booked again for next year, maybe we'll see you then ! ✌🏝
Thanks for the video Hyro. I am staying at Divi in May, haven't been in a few years so very excited. I know the beach is always different hope it stays beautiful for our visit. Glad to see Marleen smiling, still praying for her. I hope I run into you while in Aruba!
Hi, Hydro enjoyed another one of your most relaxing videos. I remember sitting at the bar at the divi divi back many years ago looking at the sea having a drink with my wife and hearing the sounds of construction off to the left and the bartender said they’re building a new hotel Man you make me long for the place I love the most, which is Aruba, the beaches, the people learning the different language and learning the history of the people … wonderful place wonderful island, lovely people
Thanks for sharing, I really believe this area is one of the very best and beautiful spots. Almost a hidden gem because most talk is about the Palm beach, Eagle beach etc. Hope we welcome you again, thanks for watching!
Thanks for the update. No less than 24 truck loads of sand were brought in for the area in front of building 2400 and 2500 during our stay in January but it was quickly washed away😞I can see from your video that more sand has been brought in on that end of the hotel up to the pool area. It is great to see this restoration attempt. I really hope nature gives the Tamarijn a break and restores the beaches naturally.
Fantastic video!! Wife and I will be at the divi in May. Out 5th time!! Can't wait. We was there in September 2022. Beach was in ruff shape. Glad to see it back to normal!! Alot of work. But from the video well worth it.
We’ve been to Aruba 10 times and always stay at the Tamarijn Hotel. We love having a room on the beach! Isn’t it amazing how the beach comes and then it goes!! We were there last March and there was no beach. Now it looks beautiful again! So glad it’s back but we don’t ever know for how long! We’ll be visiting the Tamarijn again sometime this year! Thank you so much for creating this video. I believe you know how many of us love this beach. ❤
Yes indeed! I got a lot of request to do an update walk along the Tamarijn and Divi. Beside the Palm and Eagle beaches it's very often overlooked but to me it's really one of the very best of Aruba. Thanks for watching, cheers!
Hi, since you've stayed there more than once, which is the best building to stay in? Looking to have a decent beach in front of us, minimal to no rocks..etc Thanks for your help!
I would say the 1400 building has some beach directly in front of it. There is also the main beach that is between the Tam and sister hotel Divi. That is usually where you will find us. And I believe it’s in good shape at the moment. Enjoy! This response makes me want to book another trip to my home away from home!!☺️😎
I stayed there in 1991 (when it was the cheapest place around lol ). It was not all inclusive. That pier was rounded at end with a roof and was a great spot for sunsets, and meeting new friends while having a few drinks during the day. Back then you could carry your lounge chair out there. The beach has changed a lot, it was all sand in front of our room.
The area looks great, very nice improvement along the Tamarijn section. @6:00 For vacation purposes I don’t mind at all staying on waterfront property but not to personally live on. Unfortunately mother nature has a mind of her own and the uncertain weather changes at times can wreak havoc to your property. Puerto Rico is experiencing those conditions along some of it’s coastlines at the moment and properties are in danger of collapsing. Nonetheless, another great video and I can’t wait to return in June!!
I agree, great for a stay but can be dangerous for a property if it's so close. So happy also to see this recovery of an area/beach which I think is one of the best on Aruba. See you soon brother!
Was just there for the past two weeks. Was hoping you would show my beach buddy owls. I miss them! Great job in the video. Would have loved to run into you!
Looks like the beach is back almost... Is it still god today 10-11-23. We are trying to plan a trip back in Sept or Oct 2024. I was there in May 2022 and I was heart broken of how bad it was and all the rocks in the water you step on. All the years before that were great!
The pier looks like it went on fire🔥. Hopefully Marlene is in good health. We had a great time on the island in January. Will be back! It’s a beautiful place to relax on the beach! The pirate ship was cool too!
Hello Hyro and friends, we are planning a trip to Aruba in October. Wondering if there still construction by the Riu. Last time we checked reviews, some people were complaining about loud noises dust, etc. thank you all.
This is a great vid, Hyro, thank you. Just came in from scraping ice off my driveway, trust me I wish I was at the Tamarijn RIGHT NOW! Hope you and Marleen doing well and healthy.🙂🙂🙂👍
Glad you enjoyed it Scott! Sorry to hear about scrapping the ice, me and Marleen did that in the Netherlands earlier this month. Thanks for your nice wishes we wish you also the very best.
Yaay! Marlene is back and she is in good spirits🙏🙏 i never stayed at this resort as it seems crowded although nothing compared to the high rises. I am currently renting an apartment in Bubali. My daily afternoon walks go by Madame Jannette’s to the Aloe factory down towards Ling and Son’s then I end at Druif beach where I relax. From Druif beach I walk the same walk you are both doing, towards Divi beach, passing theses resorts then I end up in Eagle beach , Superfoods and back to Bubali. Eagle beach, especially Palm beach are just not for me. Druif and Divi are my favourites . I would much prefer these smaller featured resorts over the Riu and Barcelo PS I just snapped photos with those posts yesterday and I was also wondering what they were for. I imagine it may have been a deck at some point? PSS.. why am I sitting in my rental watching you walk on this beach when I can be there in 20 min? 😂
:-) Yes, perhaps you should be there in person haha. I also liked the quieter beaches but think that Eagle beach due to its size can still give you some spots (closer to Manchebo beach). The posts were from an old pier build by an oil refinery back in the ww2 era. It closed down and from there came the name Eagle Beach also.
Love the video we are coming back this year would have like to seen the entire beach , we usually stay further away from the dining area as it is quieter , anyone know how the beach is on the side by the public park ? Thanks for the video , we can’t wait to visit this beautiful place again!
