1 player? after giefs buffs, EVERYONE knows hes too good. when you dont have to work hard as a grappler, then the character is too good. yeah in ranked at the lower levels you might have to Chase people all day with gief but thats doesnt mean you have to work for the win. upper master ranks, when people dont just constantly run away, gief is OP at almost any range.

Never cared for mena when he used a cheap character like Blanka. Cheap characters deserve to go against cheap characters like blanka, rashid and jd. But using a low tier character like Zangief, especially against such cheap characters, is something I greatly admire.

Gief is a grappler, and no matter how good he is some ppl will never play him for that reason alone. Whereas Luke is essentially a Shoto, more utility, more appeal, more players when he's busted
