Revived by God’s Word LORD, how great is your mercy; let me be revived by following your regulations. -Psalm 119:156- As Christians, we are either progressing or regressing. We are either going forward or going backward. The moment we stop our forward momentum is the moment we begin our backward regression. It’s the moment we start going in the wrong direction spiritually. Of course, we all have those times as believers when we stumble, when we trip up. There are times when we make the wrong decisions or think the wrong thoughts. When this happens, we need to repent, of course. But we also need revival and refreshment in our spiritual lives. And there’s refreshing power in the Word of God. The psalmist David wrote, “The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple” -Psalm 19:7- If we want to be growing Christians, then we need to be Bible-studying Christians. We want to build our lives on Christ and His Word. At the end of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus gave this summary statement: “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock” -Matthew 7:24-25- Every life will be tested. Every one of us will face storms as followers of Jesus. So, let’s make sure that we build on the right foundation, which is a relationship with Jesus Christ. But we must also study the Word of God. As we read, study, memorize, and dig into the Bible, it will refresh us spiritually. Don’t build your Christian life on experience. Don’t build it on fickle emotions. Rather, build your life on Jesus Christ and God’s Word..

I was thinking the same thing, he actually pulled that level 3 off a few rounds earlier, stopped Blanka in his tracks, and won da match. Not sure what he was thinking there. Heat of the moment got da best of him.
Não esperava nada do tokido nessa evo. Perdeu todas as partidas online que eu assisti, mudou para Ken a um ou 2 meses atrás e mesmo assim conseguiu um top quatro.
16:55 I love the bow that Mena does, like "it's an honor to play you " in a cute 'I think Japanese culture is about this' sorta way lol. Even Tokido felt humbled, and then they hug it out.
Look, Tokido is a fighting game god. No questions about that. Watching him play, I feel he is too textbook perfect, in the sense of everything he does is so controlled and measured, e.g. he finds a little crack and extracts maximum damage from it. However, sometimes I feel there is not enough “surprises” in his game, e.g. a high-risk move or an unexpected set up. Playing Ken throughout the entire 5 games, he did ONE running all-you-can and landed that to end a game. All other all-you-cans are hit after punches or kicks set ups. This of course guarantees an all-you-can will land, but on the other hand, your opponent also knows what to look for or guard against. I feel like a couple of late game moments where things could go either way, Tokido was too careful and measured and didn’t take enough risks. Now, MenaRD is super good so whatever Tokido threw at him may not make a difference to the end result. But it’s a fighting game, you gotta take some risks and make some crazy unexpected moves sometimes to surprise your opponent.
A lot of the matches at the top 6 befallens to 1 mistake or 1 lucky hit, this top 6 requires the mind to be completely cool. Pro tip, Mena's Blanka, you don't look for combo's, just only need to hit here and there to stop his Blanka from advancing and you can see Mena's playstyle he comes after you. The more you put in the effort, the more Mena will find a small window of opening. Just hit, no combo's.
It's really cool to see the best of the best sweat under the spotlight. Mistakes were made but it's understandable given the context and it makes the outcome more dynamic and fun
Can anyone let me know what to do to get entry into these tournaments please, I would like to get my son entered into them, he's absolutely crazy about fighting games like street fighter & tekken.
It felt like Tokido was learning the Blanka match up as he was play against Mena. It's actually such an advantage for MenaRD that there aren't many high level Blankas but tons of high level Kens to play against. Props to Mena, though. He's been consistently dominating. I'm looking forward to what new characters people gravitate towards as the game progresses.
@Vectorman2X those are the games that the tournaments are based on right now. You go beat him then. He's beating top players wtf makes him a top player then? He's been a champion twice.
Mena actually doing world tour irl. Traveling around to befriend sf masters.

At the end of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus gave this summary statement: “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock”
-Matthew 7:24-25-
Every life will be tested.
Insane match that the reason we love figthing game!!!
16:40 combo top 3 evo moment 😱
Tokido gave us some of the most incredible battles. vs Kakeru was the most wild finish, then vs Mena was another epic battle.

-Psalm 119:156-
As Christians, we are either progressing or regressing.
The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple”

The end of this match felt like a "passing of the torch" moment. A truly epic notch engraved in FGC history.. ✊

Tokido putting the work in at the gym!! Great set, Blanka is a beast 😂 and MenaRD uses him very creatively. Tokido will win tournaments - with Akuma 😎
Yeah.. wait till Akuma is out. I am pretty sure SF will release him in the future.
he is the last DLC character for season 1

Tokido almost got it, but he didn't lab Blanka so deep, he would have known. Kakeru was the revelation, he sent Mena to losers.😊
Tokido switched to ken not too long ago after all. He dropped lots of combos as well.
Man, Tokido gave us some hype sets🔥🔥 Great games between these greats

Mens doing it big 🇩🇴♥️
He should had done Lv3 instead of DI at 16:41. Great sets. I'm sure tokido will grab a couple trophies in SF6 in the future
I was thinking the same thing, he actually pulled that level 3 off a few rounds earlier, stopped Blanka in his tracks, and won da match. Not sure what he was thinking there. Heat of the moment got da best of him.
It amazes me to see menard's total control, taking everything with him even when he loses. He has destroyed tokido's dreams
Não esperava nada do tokido nessa evo. Perdeu todas as partidas online que eu assisti, mudou para Ken a um ou 2 meses atrás e mesmo assim conseguiu um top quatro.
Man I love EVO so much.
That's was beautiful good fight az always frm these too 👏👏👏👏
16:55 I love the bow that Mena does, like "it's an honor to play you " in a cute 'I think Japanese culture is about this' sorta way lol. Even Tokido felt humbled, and then they hug it out.
Mena's been to Japan. He knows there's a lot of bowing over there lol
Almost all of the last few matches went 3-2. Lots of close calls ans clutch moments
"What a handsome fellow"
*silence...*
“IT IS STOLEN IT IS STOLEN” this is why I love yipes 😂
God that final clutch from mena wtf
16:55 Being Asian, I can imagine how much Tokido appreciated this gesture
This the first time that I was just rooting for every player. Weird feeling
The sit down and shut up with the crow screaming is awesome
"All-you-can" 🤣
Mis respetos con RD 🎉🎉🎉
A lot of the matches at the top 6 befallens to 1 mistake or 1 lucky hit, this top 6 requires the mind to be completely cool. Pro tip, Mena's Blanka, you don't look for combo's, just only need to hit here and there to stop his Blanka from advancing and you can see Mena's playstyle he comes after you. The more you put in the effort, the more Mena will find a small window of opening. Just hit, no combo's.
Damage is really high this version and pressure is really strong. It's easy to slip on a banana peel and eat 82%.
It's really cool to see the best of the best sweat under the spotlight. Mistakes were made but it's understandable given the context and it makes the outcome more dynamic and fun
You shoulda been there beating menas ass man
The stare just so awesome
Can anyone let me know what to do to get entry into these tournaments please, I would like to get my son entered into them, he's absolutely crazy about fighting games like street fighter & tekken.
ah yes now I remember the haters of mena Rd hating on his birdy tech back in the day saying he was cheap...
As Dominicans, we are really proud of this guy
It felt like Tokido was learning the Blanka match up as he was play against Mena. It's actually such an advantage for MenaRD that there aren't many high level Blankas but tons of high level Kens to play against. Props to Mena, though. He's been consistently dominating. I'm looking forward to what new characters people gravitate towards as the game progresses.
Yeah but why ain't there that many blankas players? Maybe is not as easy as it looks.😊
Buena partida muchachos... épico
Menard have come along way since the sfv era. I think he earn his title as one of the top sf player. no more disrespect
I dont think with those games sf5 and sf6 you can name someone top player
@Vectorman2X those are the games that the tournaments are based on right now. You go beat him then. He's beating top players wtf makes him a top player then? He's been a champion twice.
I can say without a doubt that Tokido lost because he didn’t measure the distance between himself and the monitor
Mena eating good as always.
That peripheral vision
THE MURDERFACE🔥🔥🔥
Los mejores😊
