I have been using a Sony TV for 12 years now. Yes, the very same from back then. And what I can still say is this: For a 12 year old Full HD LED TV, my very aged (A KDL-40Z5500) still looks impressive. I won’t lie, compared to todays TV’s, it does look aged and the image isn’t anymore, what you’d expect, but it does look good enough to not buy a new TV in a flash. And if I look at other TVs around the same age, many of them have an aged looking panel by now. So is Sony worth it? Heck yea it is! To me, that is.
@@MacoM1983 Upgrade from Sony to TCL doesn't sound right to me. It is just like you say you are upgrading to a Honda from a Mercedes. You are just replacing your aging old one.

I had it so long I gave it away to my girlfriends father & he put it in his man cave in his basement where the tv stays on all the time & is litterly never turned off & that tv is still working flawless to this day. Had another sony 27in with the picture tube & had that so many years I just dumped it while it was still working fine. good coverage!!!! it is a GREAT tv. i have the 65"
Is there any problem with viewing angles?
Which tv should I buy SONY X85J,SONY X90J,SONY 95J,IS THERE IPS PANEL IN SONY X85J AND SONY X95J.
Sony X85j because that have 43 inch
@@Masonyew893 nah,its a weak tv
Sony x90j this one or Samsung q70a qled which is better picture quality/color I’m stuck man 🧐 don’t know which one to get I’m from Australia the Sony is $3300 the Samsung is $3000 for both 75inch
What did you get then? I’m deciding between x90j and the new 2022 Samsung q70b.
Does this tv have an ambient mode like found on a Samsung?
What I don't understand is, the 2020 x90 series design was so much better, sleek and elegant in design with the thin aluminum bezel. These 2021 models look like a plastic garbage, not taking away the TVs performance but the design is lazy and basic. I own a 55-in x900h and although its not the perfect TV, I am in love with its design, its gorgeous.
Because of the pandemic c'mon. Let's get richer while the world gets poorer. Let's cut our production cost. Nobody will notice while they are nosy with the virus. Anyway, we are Sony and every YT reviewers will rave about our products. So why build better?
Haven't you noticed they did the same to our cars years ago & everything else we buy
Can Android apps be installed on it?
Love your video
Quick question tho does 4K 120jz gaming look good or does it lose a lot of its resolution?
It's 4k...what do u mean by lose resolution?
@@mobiscrub some TVs look bad when you play 4K 120hz. It’ll say 4K but it’ll look like 1080p.
Aah, that's probably because they don't have UHD upscaler. This one does and with XR processor, it's definitely better than its predecessors
@@mobiscrub 4K@120fps always looks blurry, it’s designed to be 120fps which is butter smooth, your gonna see that 1080p@120fps will be the new normal and 4k@60 will be the new amazing graphics
With 4k 120hz, you sacrifice image quality. Thats just how it works, the same with gaming pc. With xbox series x, you see the resolution drop or becomes washed up as soon as you enable 4k 120hz.
Is the lan connection for the Ethernet plug in?
Yes
awesome thank you!
Great video!
Bro it plays hdr @120fps dolbyvision is another system
Does this have hdmi 2.1?
You did not even talk about ATSC 3.0 Turner I am looking a Sony X85J 65" It's little Brother .. for Black Friday here in Canada
The X85J dosent have that tuner I don't think.
@@michaeldavis6550 it Dose I get 3.0 ATSC from Buffalo
@@onknight That's good to know. Happy they include that in the Tv's. Samsung sure don't unless you get the top Tv.
Good review
Mine is a Sony 55" X80g.
I am still awaiting the Google TV update on it. Duh, very slow updates from Sony's side, I'd say.
Unfortunately I don’t think that model will be updated to google tv.
that model still has the old SOC, the x85g, 95g, a9g and z9g of that year get the update
Marketing mumbo jumbos???? Mr Genius, those "marketing mumbo jumbos" represent the technology that actually exists in the product that serve a major purpose and years of research. They consist of standards that the industry goes by which informs the customer if the product meets their needs.
Every Sony TV I've owned has lasted so long, & performed well far beyond their useful lives!(7-9 years until completly obsolete)
Otoh My Samsung just fauled after 4.5 years. Im not buying other brands ever again. I can grt "last year's" 65 X90J for $999 @ membership store, w 3 year Ext Wty.
galaxy note series completely dead? Any hope for next note?
samsung didn't launch the note last year....and hence, no content on it.
which nanocell were you comparing it to
every nanocell is shit so who cares
I'm getting the a80j this Monday
How much ram is consumed for customising laptop
Depends on what you are customizing it with. It's a very broad question with mutiple possible answers.
@@mobiscrub I use Rainmeter to customize with icon and clock and weather widget on my dell ins 14 laptop of 16 gb ram
Wth that remotes like a foot long, nice tv though, good review👍
Thanks for watching
Song 55 inch x950g vs x90j ?
My only priority is the picture quality. I am not a gamer. Watch only movies, sports, tv channels via set top box.
Essentially it's X1 vs XR..
And XR is better given its newer.
I have both and I like my X950G more I think it has better colors and looks sharper. To be fair though I have to return my x90J because I think I ended up getting a returned model because it had dust on it and was not packaged well and didn't have the original stickers on it.
@@gregknies7944 950 did have better colors and sharpness, BUT x90j had way better brightness and contrast and motion controls so that’s probably why
From the little research I’ve done the only tv from the new lcd line up that is actually better is the x95j
@@stefaniadjelebova ya that’s what i went with, probably most decent tv this year but i’ll definitely be upgrading next year or after just gotta see what comes out
How about X91j?
90 91 92 93 94 are the same tv, thats what i was told in store, the x95j is a step up. This is what I was told today!
