The intro got me confused, at first I thought you reuploaded the first video
You didn't grapple the blade barrage since the blades went flying off the map you would have as well and you also grappled that wall probably due to some glitch since grapples cant go that far.
I don't believe you're actually grappling blade barrage knives. I've had that similar effect while trying to grapple a tangle just as it disappears, and it looks as if you instead grapple the closest object/wall in the direction you're trying to grapple rather than the target object. Another example of this is in your recent spicy clips video.
But can strand grapple happiness back into my life?

With low velocity rockets it’s best to have lasting impression so you can continue to follow the rocket even as it lands.
its also a good perk
Adding on to the last experiment, me and 3 of my friends tested if you can grapple four people in a square and keep going, and uh, if you're turning fast enough and keep track, it is, and it's hilarious, we created the Warlock's Hunter Collider (One Warlock and 3 Hunters...) Very fun experiment, would style it infront of Rhulk again
it can be done with as few as two, but any less than three makes it very difficult to keep it going without getting too close and ending the grapple
What's even funnier about grappling a nova bomb is if you position it right you basically can float under it and fly in like you're holding a giant purple balloon of death. My friend and I did that as soon as we unlocked Strand and had a blast with trying to grapple different stuff. So far I think that and Lumina is the funniest aside from obvious choices like in a chain, wheel, a sparrow or a thundercrash.

My raid team once did a 6 person grapple train led by a well skating warlock, which was pretty amusing
I am delighted to say that the gunpowder gamble bait got me. My joy is immeasurable
Grappling onto rockets is hard bc you have to deal with correcting the recoil, but it becomes _significantly_ easier to pull off if you fire straight into the air. I still have yet to pull off a normal rocket grapple, but I can grapple rockets shot straight into the air _very_ consistently. It was a godsend when farming Gahlran when he was bugged.
I actually know how the blade barrage grapple worked, I had the same thing happen to me. The tether from grapple is a fast moving projectile that seeks to grab something solid as close to the center of your screen or is a global grapple point like a player or tangles. However, it can miss, and since it can miss, it will continue flying in the direction it was originally until it hits something. All of those knives were numerous enough that it was able to find at least one knife that was stupid close to where it could reach it, but the knife traveled past where it predicted it'd be, so the grapple missed and continued traveling in a straight line until it hit that wall you grappled to, which looked like it extended the length of the normal grapple by at least two times. I had this happen with a noble round from lumina actually: I tried the noble round and got it to work, then went to do it again and missed just slightly, causing me to grapple a wall that normally would've been at least 30 meters further than the grapples max range
Why I subject myself to watching these at work? I always, ALWAYS end blurting out a suppressed laugh and looking like an idiot to my coworkers. Excellent content, practical and fun 3 stars!
Low velocity rockets is the way to go if you wanna skip the whole first room in Duality. Very useful when the dungeon is in the rotator list.
For me it was more consistent with good old G-Horn. The important part is to target directly upwards as targeting the rocket basically has to be pixel-perfect which is much easier when aiming upwards against the view border.
I farmed that dungeon for artifice gear two weeks ago, 50 runs in one day using the vertical grapple skip. My main tip for helping others get the timing is the first two notes a rim shot on drums (the “I made a joke” sound effect).
Low velocity is what lets you hang on to that rocket for its entire flight path, but the real thing you need is 100 recoil and stability. Setting your aim back to center is the hard part and most people doing this are using macros to pull it off consistently.
For rocket grapple on console I’ve found the most success with a crafted Palmyra that has a handling MW, Countermass, Impact Casing, Enhanced Surplus, Enhanced Chill Clip, and a counterbalance mod for that 100 stability. This gives it maximum handling and stability that you can with lowest velocity on this rocket.
Aim down sights and fire your rocket with your thumb as far away from the right joystick as possible, so that you don’t move the reticle off the rocket, and grapple as fast as you can. Hope this helps any fellow console players!!
Also, on console rocket grapple works very easily as long as it’s straight up, the crafted rocket I mentioned is for the best chance of forward travel with a rocket grapple

It's not the rocket velocity that matters, it's the recoil direction and stability that matter. If you use the no-recoil-while-standing-in-front-of-Vex-portal glitch, you can in fact grapple a 94 velocity Hezen Vengeance. I purpose built a Palmyra-B with 100 recoil direction and max stability for this purpose. Of course, for practical use of Rocket-grappling, you do need a macro.
Velocity does matter insofar that too much velocity will break the tether once it's stretched far enough. This is usually only going to matter if you're using rocketgrapples to skip large jumping puzzles, though.
@@ForeverLaxx Not so. I've successfully grappled until the rocket exploded due to maximum distance travelled, granted it was a straight vertical shot as that Hezen Vengeance does not have sufficient recoil direction and stability for lateral grappling.

I believe blink is actually a teleport, or at least is close enough to act like one, as in certain areas, it is possible to blink through a death barrier

I've been entertained by some of your videos before, but the intro to this one made me finally subscribe 😂
I suspect it is difficult to grapple rockets horizontally because rocket launchers have recoil and you have to line up the grapple to the rocket while compensating for the reticle movement of the rocket fired, this is why when aiming a RL completely vertical will result in an easier grapple since the recoil can't move the reticle further up.

I could be wrong but I don't believe you grappled the blade barrage because there is a bug with grapples currently where they SOMETIMES very rarely miss their intended grapple target and travel to the furthest possible solid physics object (the wall in this case) I've had instances of this happening to me and friends multiple times and our grapples pulling us to walls miles away from where we intended to grapple

You should do the same ragdoll grapple thing you did at the start of the video but have the play your grappling use all 8 prospector shots while spinning around then once all 8 are gone from the mag and they stop spinnin grapple on to them and have them let go of the trigger and it might send you to the moon
Load into VoG and have one person grapple a cyclops so they start spinning in a circle. Then have the other 5 people grapple each other.

Noble rounds are my favorites :) And I think it has to be a delayed detonation rocket and aimed at an upward angle, those were the ones I've seen.

Hunter frosty tornado? I know it has collision, I have seen people jump off the tip of the knife that is thrown first before the storm... so I assume that can be grappled?
I spent over an hour trying to grapple rockets in the conclave on controller. I got it to happen *THREE* times out of over 50 attempts. the timing is sooooo specific. can't do it too early, can't do it too late.
makes me wish bungie'd give us an exotic strand RL that fires tangles, to let controller players reliably grapple rockets
Likely they do a grenade launcher so it has an arc and is more ranged but I'd take it.

idk if its just me but i found when i grapple a rocket the recoil from shooting it makes you grapple higher so you gotta shoot rocket then dip cursor a little

If you have a controller with paddles, map rt and lb to 2 paddles side by side. Roll your fingers over them for more consistent rocket grappling.

Yeah I couldn’t get grappling a rocket to happen on controller going forward. BUT since the recoil goes up, I’ve done it multiple times where I grapple straight into the sky
You might be able to grapple a vortex grenade before it lands cause it actually has a model with collision. I've had it land on my teammates hand before

The rocket sailing works better when looking straight up. Otherwise the recoil can make you miss the rocket with the grapple

5:42, enemy pops well on point in Trials, you spin around it stopping them from capping. Enemies try to kill you, completely whiffing cuz this is my hypothetical. While that's going on, teammates kill the well, then lay into enemy team as you spiderman away

hey ever thought of making a contest, 2 grapple equip classes 2 normal classes, and 2 players with eager edge swords, eager edge players hit the *ball* (aka the normal player) and the strand class players quickly grapple onto the *ball* and see who lands the farthest heh
Best way to horizontal rocket grapple is to slowly aim down with a low velocity, high stability launcher. Still a pain to do it but I can say that it is possible
I found G-horn straight upwards is easy to grapple... Haven't gotten Amy other angle yet

I get cross mapped by shotguns but anytime I use one it gets single digit numbers. Wtf do I do? I can’t really use Strand without some close quarters play style.
I really wish teammates counted as tangles/grapple anchors so that your grapple doesn't get consumed, that would help compensate for having people steal your tangles as well lmao

If it helps I play on controller and I found it easiest to do it facing straight up because of no recoil then when you get the hang of the timing then try it more horizontally. It is a pain lol

The rpg grapple only seems to work when you aim it straight up. Once you aim up and grapple its easy as pie
You can do it horizontally but it requires a macro on pc to get it consistently

Jokes aside, a macro is a command that can be run in a pc to do any input. So you can set that if you press a certain key, it will immediately press the fire button and the grenade button a specific number of milliseconds afterward, which wouldn’t be possible for a a human to do consistently
