Despite economical struggles and a long lasting war, the DRC remains one of the most culturally diverse, mineral rich countries in the world. While the evidences usually are elusive, it is a possibility due to its wide range of animal species, some of which are so rare they are only found in this country: Bonobos, Okapi, etc...The DRC has a far reaching history, most of which has been erased from its people's mind by the Colonizers (Belgium). It is the birth place of several independent kingdoms mentioned in African history (Kongo, Luba,etc...). it has a long and powerful river, over 250 spoken dialects, and all sorts of vegetation (equatorial forest). It is no wonder that scientists and researchers are baffled at this country's natural wealth and potential, and they continue to affirm that this country has the potential to be an African power should it finally find economical/political stability.
