Supplies used in video (affiliate links within):
Plastic Toy Dollhouse shareasale.com...
Spray Primer amzn.to/4bPyuhS (I already had the white primer on hand, but if I was purchasing it just for this project, I would go with this color amzn.to/3wxIo7K which is already pretty close to the gingerbread color!)
Acrylic Paint shareasale.com...
Paintbrush
White Puffy Paint shareasale.com...
Lessons Learned - If I were to make this faux gingerbread house again, I would go with brown spray paint instead of acrylic paint. That would save a ton of time! If you used a spray paint (like this amzn.to/3SVTM4G) that is made to go on plastic, you could probably skip the prime step altogether!

nice.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌺
This turned out sooooo cute!!!!
Thanks so much!
This would be a great activity for kids- great idea!
Yes, my kids (5 and 7) had fun helping me but the puff paint part was a little tricky for them.
these turned out so cute! if i may add, if paint doesn't wanna stick to plastic you can give it a good scrub with sandpaper until its a lil less glossy looking, then it sticks a little better sometimes :)
That's a great idea! I didn't want to rough it up too much and mess up the texture of the plastic decorations but it would have been worth a shot!
Oooh definitely need to dee if I can find a gingerbread brown spray paint! What an adorable transformation!
Yes, I would definitely recommend spray paint! Someone on my Instagram recommended the stone-textured spray paint to make it look like the texture of a gingerbread cookie, which I thought was a brilliant idea.
I bought the Rustoleum spray in "warm caramel". It's the perfect gingerbread color!!
So cute! How long did the puff paint take to dry?
I thought it was going to take 24-hours, but it turned out it was dry in less than 10 hours. Could have been dry before that, but it was the first time I checked it!
