Looks great 👍🏼 thanks for sharing your tips. 😊
Really helpful!! If I am staining maple with dark stain(Minwax Sawyer), and I will use the polycrylic, is it going to fade the color?
I sure found this intresting with all the foot traffic some being 4 legged type. This sure looks like alot of work.
@williamhill3751 glad you enjoyed it! Yes our renovations are always a family affair, even with the furry friends!
I mix two dark stains together and the directions call for polyacrylic but you said not to use it on dark stains so what sealant do I use. The stain is water base.
Know what else fits in your hand 🍆👋🏽
“Tiling level system”- good; “Tile-leveling system”- better.
How are the tiles holding up, wondering because you laid it directly on concrete and when concrete cracks the tile has no break in between itself and the concrete?
For 1/2 inch pallet wood project (birdhouse) do I use #7 coarse thread 1-inch pan head screws with the 700-Series micro jig attachment? Or #8 1-inch screws?
Appreciating this video 4 years later!
Thanks! Glad its helping out.
Could i use clear mod pudge for the picures?
Could you add a surrounding frame to turn the mounted tapestry into the background of a shadow box?
@@3557student yes you could definitely do that!
A great video - thanks! This looks a lot like our Article Leather sofa but we have the chocolate version. Yours did not seem to change color much when you applied the oil or did it and it was just not that apparent in the video? My sofa shows wet dog prints but dries back to normal. I'm worried if I oil it - the whole sofa may go quite dark. Any thoughts or recommendations? Thanks!! ;)
@jodykennedy4796 it very slightly changes color with the oil for a short time. You could always test it on the back of one of the cushions first?
🎉🎉🎉..Most helpful, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
i dont like watching his fingers pushing the wood a past the open saw blade, thats hard on fingers.
Don't worry, I get the push sticks out when ripping 1" or smaller
fire!!
Perfect video. Just the type if information I was looking for.
Damn I thought I was going to be the 10,000th subscriber!
So close but thanks for subscribing glad to have you here!
omg I actually changed my fixture in the bathroom all alone. Thank you!!!!
Good to here, that's great to hear the video is workin!

Instructions say acclimation is not necessary for Pergo outlast. Thoughts?
In a pinch you could probably trust that but things always expand and contract with temperature. The time and effort you are putting in purchasing, installing, and maintaining a floor I would always give it time to acclimate. My thoughts are what's an extra 2-3 days with flooring you want to have for 10-20 years.
Very useful and straightforward. Thank you!
You're welcome! Glad it was helpful!
The easiest video I found for this project😊
We try to keep it to the point!
Can this be used for 5/8or 16mm timber Wayne
There won't be a preset on the drill bit provided but yes the collar could be adjusted for 5/8". Just test it on a few scraps until you get it dialed in. For reference, there is a circle cut out on the collar that you line up with 3/4" or 1/2" stock so somewhere in between should work.
What kind of saw is that that cuts the holes for the boxes?
The proper name I believe is a oscillating multi tool with a drywall cutter tip.
Thanks
I make homemade wooden ornaments and I epoxy them after airbrushing with acrylic paint. Do I need to primer?
If you like the look you are getting with the airbrush and epoxy coat then no. Primer will hide all the wood grains.
Do NOT use polyurethane outdoors! Polyurethane is ridgid and very brittle. Outdoors it will crack, peel, and turn the ugliest yellow you can imagine. Instead, you need something that remains pliable like Spar Urethane, Marine Urethane, general finishes exterior 450 if you want a water based option that won't add an amber tone... All 3 of those will move with the wood when there's temperature changes, humidity changes, etc. They are pliable, extremely durable, waterproof, and will last for years. If you use polyurethane, you'll be re-finishing in 18 months, tops.
That guy looks like a pro, great video and a simple explanation thank you.
The Work hand cream is pretty good for dry and cracked skin.
You can say that again!
So I have to move my wires up the wall since the previous light was connected to e medicine cabinet. There wasn’t a light bracket so once I live the hole up with the wires do I just install the bracket in the drywall hole or is there a box inside?
When relocating a light like you are doing you'll most likely have to use an "old work" box from the store to secure to the drywall or stud. There won't be a box in the other location unless it was the original when the house was built.
Like a boss! Thanks so much for this.
I just use some sandpaper 80/100/120 grit and give those stains a hand rub. Like brand new in no time.
I made similar with WoodPrix instructions :)
I bet you have a Live laugh love sign
I just did a few rooms with a 20lb jack hammer with a flat head bit. Goes right through the nails did about 1000sqft in 2 hours.
Definitely faster if you got that tool.
Well done. Give me ideas for my toddler's bookshelf.
Please remove the wording can't see anything 😮😮😮
I'm thinking of ordering this system for my odd shaped closet. I have it pretty much planned out, but one question that Home Depot does not answer....do the wall brackets the units hang on included with each unit? Great video and you did an amazing job. Thank you.
Typically yes they are included with every unit. I would double check to make sure but if the box will usually tell you wants included with each unity you buy.
For a kitchen table that’s white w med wood stain for seat and legs Back of chairs and table top is white So I don’t want Amber/ yellowing on white part. Help pls…..
Definitely go with a polycrylic to avoid the yellowing over the white.
Have you washed it ?
Yes we have 2 kids and 2 dogs, this gets washed at least once a month and its holding up well
Thanks! Very helpful video. Also, what shape of tile is in your video and where did you purchase it? It's a beautiful design.
We had large format elongated hexagon tiles and then 2x12 or 2x14 rectangle tiles for accent walls. These are Jeffrey Court tiles
Smart to cut out the intricate measurements so you don't have to bust out the roto zip and throw dust all the way from here to Japan
Thanks for noticing! We took the long way to cut everything for that reason.
How many gallons of green and how many white did you use? Asking because my room is similar in size
We used 1 gallon of white, for primed walls 1 gallon of top of the line green, but if its a fresh coat/cheaper paint get 2 gallons. Our ceilings are only 7 and a half feet tall so we don't have as much to cover.
Thank you, yes my ceiling is 7 & ½ feet as well, and really close to same size room, didn't want to buy too much paint, nor run out . I did the math based off paint manufacturers recommended coverage. But was skeptical. Thank you, your room looks amazing! Great color choice!
I am simply amazed. Thank you very much for sharing this information with so many people who are starting out! I also want to ask if you can tell me where you got this type of flooring and in this format. I really liked it. Thank you! for sharing your experience in this video, which was very important to me and is certainly important to many people who will be watching.
Glad this helped out so much, that's the goal! These tiles are from Jeffrey Court. This project was awhile ago but they might have something similar in stock still.
Any suggestions for a basement that does have old 9x9 floors and some cracks? I just want to cover. This basement does get water at times and I have no way to completely fix so need something that can have water on it
First suggestion is to research encapsulation since 9x9 can mean asbestos. The EPA has information on how to cover properly if abatement isn't an option. Nothing really holds up in a constant wet application. If its just water 'at times' then a combination of some waterproofing membrane with a dehumidifier for the times its wet might work. Personally I would use Tile or Vinyl Plank flooring and make sure I got my waterproofing membrane right in combination with a dehumidifier for when the basement gets wet.
Very nice!
Thanks!
polycrylic. i`m using a airbrush, non mixing, .8 works perfect prob lower sizes to will work, .3 doesn`t u need to mix it, for my big model ship project, its right on , no smelling fumes, so really good for winter project with my small paint booth pip into a barrel trick with filter, good smelling of citrus :)
Thanks for sharing!
This is so pretty! I may try this with different colors?
Yes you can! Let us know how it turns out!
This is great, but I lost you. Do you dry between the sprays and then the vinegar solution and then dry before you spray the metallic colours??? I am confused. But thanks for this video it is great.
Sorry if it was confusing :) Here's the general process for painting the inside of the ornaments: (1) 1-2 spritz of mirror spray paint, let dry (2) 1-2 spritz of mirror spray paint PLUS the water & vinegar solution, let dry (3) metallic color of spray paint, let dry (4) optional another coat of mirror spray paint (if wanted), let dry
Love how the video was very visible and you did an amazing job with your step by step instructions. Especially explaining the ground wire. Awesome
Thanks, glad it was helpful!
