Thanks to Rustinox I too am now a new subscriber. I am just a Hobbyist but found machining late in life, but thanks to all the YT Community of creators that I follow, one day may become a machinist, Bear in TX. RIP Sammie.
Found you from Rustinox. New subscriber here. Ironic, that ever since I recently bought and sold a Chandler boring and facing head, I've been seeing more and more videos with boring and facing heads in them (although almost always Wohlhaupter). Maybe I should have kept it. ;)
Appreciate the sub! I'd been keeping an eye out for a UPA2 for a while, and this one popped up for a reasonable price. I haven't really had a use for it yet, but I'm sure that when I do, I'll be glad I have it.
Wenn you have the stops installed, you can use the auto return function. The stop will trip the feed button like you explained, while turning you can push the button on top and activate the return movement. The manual states you should do this wenn the boring head runs under 300 rpm.
Pretty cool. A bit more sophisticated than my Criterion.

nice build...fantastic tool
Thanks! It's going to be a really useful addition to my toolbox. I don't have a particular use for it as of yet, but I know I eventually will.

Thanks for the additional info!
