I love these ones from 2004/2005, because Louis has made the decision to ditch the old act and move up. He didn't always abide by the decision as he built towards Shameless. There's a set online where his new stuff is doing moderately well but there's some really shitty heckling from a shrill person and it cuts right through every little bit of sound on the audio: Louis, laughter, ambient noise, the works. He even says he's kinda bombing and the last 15 minutes or so is his well-worn routine.
Well, he's already called a special Hilarious and it's apparent that he's white. There are a few more obstacles to clear before we start suggesting titles for Louis's next special.
This clip somehow never ever came up on yt. Have seen all the shows and little snippets, audio clips and specials subtitled in foreign languages, thought I knew all the jokes. This is new material for me, yay!
It's interesting going back and watching these clips from around when I first heard of Louis, after having watched his act evolve in real time. It's so different, but the essence of what it would become is there. It's actually very much like looking at an unpolished gem.
Crazy after all this time less than 300 people commented. Greatest living comedian in my opinion. Just seeing his name typed out puts me in a good mood. Louis Ck 🥂
@@dachieo ayee, no problem. When we made it to the 5 year mark of his death I decided to try and make some old interviews feel new. All I did was make them really focused in on Peep. Peep and I are the same age with the same influences, like a best friend I never got to meet.
You are so funny Louis. Does the C.K. stand for consistently kills? as in "Dude, I saw Louis C.K. last night and he killed!" (i decided to break it down for those (few) who might not know the lingo). yw. Anyway, seriously, you never let me down, Louis, keep it up. Thank you.
Indian beauty ha ha! That phrase gets stuck in my head. I sometimes just blurt it out like his daughter. The other day I just randomly said to my wife "Indian beauty" with zero context.
I agree with you and I didn't mean to allude to the idea that he "actively seeks out other people's specials..." But, for example, when he's on the Opie and Anthony show, he's exposed to other comedian's material or when he's on tour with others, he's bound to hear it. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to guess that the "thumbs down" came from people who simply don't like LCK and/or don't find his comedy funny. Whatever. To each their own. I appreciate your input. Peace.
I wonder if since being a very funny/witty comedian, does L.C.K. find that it's harder for him to be amused by the comedy that is out there? I'd have to guess the answer is an obvious (?) Yes. Good. Keeps the bar moving up.

@SmokingOneTwo Although I entirely agree with what you're saying, I don't think that's what Louis CK was saying (Although I'm certain it's somthing Louis CK WOULD say, I just don't get that message from what he DID say). In his show, he says he was "prejudiced" and "racist" in an entirely joking sense, indicating he thought a new black audience would laugh at something because an old black audience did. To me, it's too simple of a joke to be social satire. But that's entirely interpretation.
I can't help thinking how these jokes would work coming from Louis now when he's so much better of a comedian. It probably would not work just from the lack of interest but that would be fun to watch.
I love you, Louis.
