    There's nothing quite like the giggle of grown ups playing with fire.

    For a harder to blow out pilot flame, Get yourself a piece of brass tubing and crimp or otherwise close one end, drill 3 or 4 1mm holes on the side of the tubing and go right through to the other side. Stuff the inside with medium grade stainless steel wool if you want a flash-back arestor. Then braze onto the end of the copper tubing. You now have a multi-jet pilot assembly. I actually use spent .22 cal rifle brass... saves closing off one end and the existing opening where the slug was fits right onto the copper pilot tube for brazing.

      After I first few attempts my buddy mentioned the same pilot light suggestion. Next time I can work on it, that is a mod I will do for sure

      We had such a great time building this thing. But then to see it in action, it kind of felt we might get caught by someone...just not sure who :)

    Add air compressor to the mix. Higher flames.

    I think there's a six pack, fifth of whiskey and some propane in the yard about to happen. Thank goodness I subscribe to Life Flight!

    Awesome. Fun project. I totally get the whole fittings issues. Every time I got to HD or Lowe’s looking for fittings for a propane related project or even airlines I end up with twice what I need to be sure I actually have what I need. I wonder if you could find a 12v valve to make the system portable. Like hanging of the back or front of the bus. Switch on the steering wheel. Mad Max style. 😁

      I actually started with a 12v solenoid however it had a bad seal and wouldn't stay closed. So I went to the 110v solenoid

    Most freon tanks have a check-valve in it (to prevent refilling) . I'd suggest testing it to see if it's even being filled with propane. My guess is it's not. (unless you modified the valve off-camera)

    I get the tubing and fittings, but what’s the need for the tank? Does it just act as a reservoir for the propane? Why couldn’t you just run it all off the propane hose, no extra tank?

    • @ArtfullyRogue
      @ArtfullyRogue  3 роки тому +3

      the propane tank as i understand it, is liquid propane. going into the second tank allows the propane to collect as a gas. A buddy of mine runs a huge fire cannon system in Las Vegas and he tipped me off to the reservoir tank. He also mentioned, if you plan to run it a lot, place the propane tank in warm/hot water so the tank doesn't start to freeze.

    The valve with the gauge on it, was that there to regulate flow, or something else?

  • @bunyanforgings7849
    @bunyanforgings7849 3 роки тому +1

    Just a question, the propane regulator, is that a high pressure one?

    • @ArtfullyRogue
      @ArtfullyRogue  3 роки тому

      Yes I believe it is. We wanted to keep the pressure at or just below 100psi
