Lighdramon is the original Japanese name, they changed it in the dubbing to raidramon but years later they released a digimon called raidramon in Japan that has no relation to the previous one, it is not the first time that it happens, they changed anomalocarimon in the dubbing to scorpiomon, and then when the real scorpiomon came out they had to change the name to skullscorpiomon
Awesome video and am looking forward to this set! I just played my first digimon digimon store game and lost out but I had fun and got a few upgrades for my deck. I look forward to when the US gets our prerelease events.

I know people on here have already answered the Lighdramon/Raidramon question. But yeah, English names for Digimon can be very inconsistent across mediums (unlike say Pokémon). For instance, Cherubimon was originally dubbed as “Kerpymon.” This is because when pronounced phonetically in Japanese (“Ch (K)- ru-pi-mon”) that’s what it sounds like. But when Frontier (Series 4) came out, they went with Cherubimon because it’s what the Japanese name is supposed to be and makes much more sense (as it’s based on a cherub). Kinda the same with Lighdramon. He’s a light dragon. What’s odd though is, with Cherubimon, some media like Cyber Slueth/Hackers Memory strangely went back to Kerpymon. Similarly, Bandai US can’t decide if they want to stick with Omnimon or the Japanese Omegamon name.
I think Marsmon appears in Xros Wars once, but it was originally made as one of the exclusive starters for the PS1 game Digimon World 3, it's digivolution line was Bearmon - Grizzlymon - GrapLeomon - Marsmon.
There is speculation that they changed it to Lighdramon because there is an Appmon named Raidramon, and this is hinting that we will have Appmon cards down the line. Also I could be wrong, but I think Lighdramon is the Japanese name.

So the reason he's called "Lighdramon" is because that is in fact his (original, Japanese dub) name. In the English translation, they just phonetically translated it, so "lighdramon" with japanese pronunciation comes across as "ride-ramon" so that's how we got Raidramon in the show. There's an Appmon who is also explicitly named "Raidramon", and because of that we wind up with "Lighdramon" in the TCG.
Yeah, Japanese doesn't mesh up perfectly with English phonetics. They don't have an R or an L, but instead have a sound that falls somewhere between. While traditionally, this is localised using the letter R, sometimes L is used instead. "Lighdramon" was probably chosen to enforce the proper pronunciation, as the dub mistakenly pronounced "Raidramon" like the english word "raid." But the name actually comes from the same "Rai" that's in "Raichu," Rai means Lightning in Japanese.

That actually was a good pull from the box, but i am feeling sorry for you not pulling SR (Black War Greymon) that you want to build a deck around, also here is why some commons and uncommons have full art : Bandai makes all lvl 6 or higher digimons a full art cards, i like your box opening videos thou, good luck with the second box opening
The Ophanimon Falldown Mode card is gorgeous! Pictures didn't do it justice, and your set up showed it off perfectly imo. I have to wait to see one in person (U.S. delays and all)... I need at least two for my Mastemon deck. And I'd have to say you had a pretty good box. You got some good trades for cards you need for Imperialdramon and BlackWarGreymon. During the video I heard you say you never heard of Marsmon. As far as I'm aware he has not yet made an apperance in the anime, but he's apart of a group of Digimon called the Olympus 12. They're based on Roman/Greek Olympian gods. Interesting to research if you enjoy mythology (which I do, so I enjoyed looking into them). Just thought I'd throw that out there since someone else already answered why Raidramon was changed to Lightdramon.

Hey I got a question to all fellow Digimon players. I just started to collect the cards. In yugioh when you bought a deck you would usually get 3 of the same deck and build around it. Would it be good to get 2 of the same deck to have all playsets in Digimon?
As someone who hated BT07 I mightive gone a bit crazy on BT08, I’m also building a imperialdramon deck but getting to it via armour digivole, with Lightdramon (weirdly enough I also remembered it being named different And was discussing it with my partner today ) I got three boxes and ended up getting four alt arts, two shivamon alt arts, one creepymon alt and an Ouryumon alt which someone traded me an entire box for (I don’t care for the X anti body line ) I’m very surprised you didn’t hit black wargreymon, I hit one in each of my boxes, in fact my partner is missing one just one now, annoyingly most of the hits went in his favour as he’s building both blackwargreymon and a shivamon deck while I’m building imperialdramon and maybe mastemon Extremely excited for pre release, a lot of the community dropped off at bt07 around here but a lot of people are excited about BT08. This has probably been my favourite box so far just so much variety and ways to play now
I understand the rest of the world getting the sets later than Japan. Six months seems like a long delay, but I understand. What I don't understand is why those of us in North America get this set two weeks later than anywhere else in the world. It's especially confusing since the English cards all use American spelling for words like color.

They have changed a number of names of digimon from the show or video games from the card game. Lord Knightmon was Crusadedramon.
