dont book a cover by its judge.
He's first of all not giving the story review which is worth it, the physical structure and outer part doesn't matter much and if possible buy these books individually (the old copies as these are new editions) because I have read the 3rd and the 5th book in new edition and the rest in old and compared to the old edition the new one has really small font, they are actually not in the common proper official computer font so don't strain your eyes and when it comes to the story its just sooo fantastic, I finished the 6th books just 2 days back; these will surely make u a potter head, you'll not even know that you're reading a fantasy, it's written so realistically. It'll approximately take you around 1 and half to finish them ( if u don't want to rush too much)
I much prefer the font on these new editions. The old ones have less spacing and a more classical font. These new ones are crisp and clean looking. A nice font as well.
I wasted all my pocket money buying all these individually😢
But my favorite is chamber of secrets. But, I love them all.

But individual book is well because if your intrest go off or if you have some important work like assignment, preparing for exam , etc for many months then you may forgot about books and it still like a show piece of your shelf

I have read Harry Potter every book 17 times as it never gets old
If you're a bibliophile then maybe try investing in collectibles. Have you come across Minalima editions? The people who graphically designed the movie, also illustrated the book. There are just two books so far though. Second best, I would say are the books illustrated by Jim Kay. The books that you bought can be used for reading, but definitely are not collectibles
I have both the versions, yet in my opinion, the first print first editions possesses far more value than either and more collectible as well. With Harry Potter's growing popularity, their value will only increase.
@@i_Deep the first print editions are more valuable indeed but are very expensive and are pretty hard to get hands over.
It takes time to find them, I agree, but if you know how to find them, they aren’t super expensive. I have the hardcover 1st print 1st edition of books 2-7, and entire collection cost me roughly ₹6000. It is much less than what entire series in MinaLima edition would cost me.
As of now, in my collection are:
Philosopher's Stone : Hardback but not 1st print,
Chambers of Secret : HB 1st Edition 1st Print
Prisoner of Azkaban : HB 1st Edition 1st Print (2nd state)
Goblet of Fire : HB 1st edition 1st print (Omnia version which printed only 250,000 books out of the 10,00,000 first editions)
Rest HBs were quite easy to find.

I agree with you in that regard.
Also I do agree that while both MinaLima / Jim Kay editions are a work to art, they are beautiful. But they don’t have the same value like the first edition just because of the fact of their print runs. That’s all.

Books are to be kept neatly so if your going to hold it with oily hands it's obvious that your book is not in good condition
