  • Looking for an affordable way to promote your eBook? Today, I'm taking a look at Draft2Digital to see if it's something self-publishing authors can use to get their books in front of more people.
My published books are available on Amazon: www.amazon.com...

Draft2Digital offers a free account that you can use to promote your books across roughly 13 retailers. These include big names, such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Then, you just have to pay a small fee whenever you sell a book on those respective platforms.
The setup was relatively easy, as I explain in this video. The hardest part was spending time converting my manuscript so the auto-detection system of Draft2Digital could recognize what is a chapter and what wasn't. It wasn't overly difficult, just time-consuming.
Although Draft2Digital will add your book to the retailers you select, it is still up to you to market the link they give you as much as possible. In this video, I show you the link I was given and how it appears when someone visits.
Overall, the experience was quite easy to manage and I'm looking forward to adding more books to Draft2Digital. That is as long as I can finish writing and editing them.
I do have a lot on my plate, after all.

    Hello
I couldn't add search terms to my ebook,so I published it without search terms
    Will it affect my book

It'll affect your book when it comes to searchability, and that's if the platform supports the keyphrases used by Draft2Digital. From what I've seen so far, not all of the platforms you can select even use the terms you can add. As long as you have a good description of your book and get your UBL in front of as many people as you can, it shouldn't be too much of an issue.
      I hope this helps.

I listed my ebooks on D2D and separately on Kobo, I've gotten more results on Kobo (on my free book hehe) so, I'm thinking about delisting my ebooks on D2D. Tyvm for this insightful vid and may you sell tons of books.

That's great! I hope it all works out for you, and you are very welcome. That's the hardest part about marketing...the results can vary wildly from one author to another. It all comes down to finding what works best for you.
Good luck, and I hope your books do exceptionally well. :)

    Hello
... Do draft to digital accept personal or business PayPal account?
... could you tell us how to add PayPal to it in a separate video?
    Thanks in advance

    • @WriterSanctuary

You can use various forms of payment methods from Draft2Digital. Currently, you can add either personal or business PayPal, direct deposit to US banks, direct deposit to international banks, Payoneer, or via a mailed check.
I'll see if I can get a video up for you in the next day or two, but it's a pretty quick and easy process. You can edit your Account settings and then select your payment method.
Though, keep in mind that you'll need to fill out Tax information depending on your geographical location and according to its laws.
      I hope this helps. :)

@@WriterSanctuary I really appreciate your informative answer.
... is it necessary to fill the tax form after or before making money on the platform?

    • @WriterSanctuary

@@ss-ic5nc You're very welcome. From what I know, you'll need to have the tax information completed before you can get a payout from Draft2Digital. So, you can start using the platform now until you hit your payment cap. At which point, you'll need to enter the tax info.

    Books live after who days

    • @WriterSanctuary
      @WriterSanctuary  Рік тому +2

How many is a "who?" :)
Anyway, I am assuming you meant two days? In any event, most of the platforms in Draft2Digital were fairly quick. It's mostly the odd, eBook platforms that were taking the most time. Like Scribd, OverDrive, Vivlio, and Bibliotheca took several weeks. In fact, Hoopla still isn't published and it's been a couple of months. lol

If you have not sold any books why are you making a video titled "Is draft to digital worth using for self publishing books" you don't have the answer to that because you have not made any sales yet so why you make video to waste people time.

Mostly, to show how it works and what kinds of things you can expect when using the platform. The question is, does it look like something you'd want to try yourself?
