Thank you for the walk through on the steps for the print book. I'll be uploading my book in a few weeks. Is there a minimum word count for print books?
I wish that I had watched this video before uploading my books to D2D. It would have saved me from some of the issues that cropped up. I also missed features that I was unaware of at the time. After the 90 days, there are a few changes to make to the cover I am curious about where the print books are distributed to. I was thinking that I would upload ti Ingram Spark. Having uploaded to D2D, would that already have been done or is that separate?
Hello there! Thank you so much for this step-by-step webinar. Something l still struggle to understand is why l cannot get a link to my published print book. l so wish to give it to potential customers. Please help me clarify this
Very helpful. Thank you. I have a question. Say I plan to publish a few novelettes on D2D as ebooks would it be possible to republish them as a combined book in paperback through D2D? Just curious
Just to clarify I understand the ISBN thing, if I want to download the formatted file off of D2D and not publish through the service, I use my own ISBN, not the D2D one, and I insert that same ISBN number into the book info in the place I want to publish? In which step do I download the file so I’m not publishing through D2D?
What If we wanted to do Amazon separately? It lets me not click Amazon for the kindle but doesn’t let me for the print. I’m not really interested in 2 copies floating around it confuses everything
I already have a paperback cover. It was accepted by Amazon KDP. (I want to use D2D for expanded distribution.) All the elements will be the same as the KDP print job, so shouldn't the cover fit here too? Same trim size, page count - everything. You're scaring me saying that I can get all the sizing on the D2D site and take it to the cover artist! The cover is done!
Cover dimensions might vary slightly based on page weight and book dimensions, but if you reach out to support, they can look into the best way to proceed with your book cover in print.
If you are using your own ISBN, you can include it in your own copyright page without issue! For authors who take a D2D-assigned ISBN, they can use our autogenerated copyright page which would include the number once it's generated after submission.
The spacing settings of Word do not carry over in the file conversion, so they'll be normalized to our standard spacing, which is slightly wider than single spaced.
The back cover looks basic or this tool is for a simpke styled back cover. If you want to be more creative - add lines or flourishes or other designs, you will need a custom-made cover.
I love that “proof” isn’t on my cover and I actually use the book as a giveaway.
Thank you Tara. I have been struggling with the heading for table of content.

Thanks for this webinar. If we choose your ISBN, who will be listed as the publisher?
How long does it take D2D to print and ship books to authors? Also, do y'all do hardbacks with jackets?

@@Draft2Digital Thank you.
I don't see the ISBN on this book. I am going to load my own Copyright page, which has it. I was just curious about this.

Question. When I write a manuscript doe I type single space, double space and the book is formatted through D2D? I'm probably not making sense here.

I’m constantly told the ONLY way my pb will be in a library or bookstore is if I publish through Ingram. Is this true?
What are your shipping times, once the print book is listed online?
Shipping times for books sold are handled by the retailers, who manage shipping and distribution.
