I love the Bridgerton costumes. Im fully aware they are not historically accurate, but they are fun and pretty and lovely to look at. Thank you and I hope you can do a few more videos like this.

What I loved about Bridgerton is the color pallet. A lot of western historical drama have these brown filter and it somehow makes the clothes uninteresting. I love historical fantasy dramas from any country, I am from the Philippines and have experienced watching Japanese, Chinese, etc, and the biggest difference from the ones from the west is that the Asian productions are super colorful. The color grading is bright and vivid on most Asian dramas, which Bridgerton actually captured well in my opinion.
It is like you can just jump into the screen and experience the time period not as an observer but as part of it because you are not "reminiscing" ; due to the brown color grading, but "experiencing" it, People that time experienced it FULL COLOR, just like in Bridgerton! Imagine if future generations make dramas about our time with a brown filter!
And also, I learned a lot about western fashion when YT recommended me some commentary about it. A win is a win?

You are absolutely right. For some reason western Productions like the brown toned historical dramas. I think it has to do with the myth that clothing wasn't colourful, as the surviving garments and portraits from these historical periods were not very colourful due to the colours fading over time.
Also you have made me feel a mighty need to watch more Asian historical pieces! Thank you!!

I would love more of these! A few of the creators I’m subscribed to im subscribed to because of the research they put into what they’re doing, not just jumping in and making assumptions. Great video!! As a cosplayer who finally got my own sewing machine this year I’d love to learn more about construction and the historical side of costuming too. I love artsy history stuff ☺️

I definitely have future ideas for videos like these! And not a bad idea, I definitely want to talk about more historic costuming on my channel 🥰

I'm using this video as a source in my college rhetoric class for a project on historical accuracy in fashion.

    Hello🎉
Have you ever made/cosplayed a Genshin Impact costume? If not, you should try them, they are incredible.
I know Genshin impact is nowhere to be historical, but you may like them.
Sorry for the not so good English.😢

Hello! Your English is great actually! I have considered cosplay genshin with some friends, but I don't play the game and therefore don't feel much motivation for any of the characters currently. That could definitely change though!

@@AnnieChieDesigns Thanks for encouraging me! 😄
In the future if you want to cosplay from Genshin You might consider some characters like Ayaka or Furina or Navia

my onecomplain for Bridgerton costumes is the not flatering effect of one regency dress that it on that one lady with the yellow dress at 7:30 ... the top bodice was too small got her chest.. making the silhouette very off... not flatering for her shape... and if i can recall... all her dresses were like that...

So that is apparently intentional! That character's mother is constantly after her to lose weight and it's implied her dresses are made too small at the bust to pressure her. It's mean and petty and totally something she would do. Her pink dresses and green dresses from the recent images from season 3, dresses SHE chose, fit better!
