My theory is that bakugo is related to the second one for all user, and that he unknowingly was passed a biological variation of one for all. And that it's going to awaken in the coming chapters, allowing Bakugo to access the vestige world.
This also allows him to keep up with Deku

Considering Bakugo canonically had One for All due to Heroes: Rising (Hori confirmed the movie is canon), I'm pretty sure THAT is why he has access to the vestige world. Deku will probably end up being able to use Explosion at some point.

I’m going with Bakugo in the vestige world plan, at least until Deku gets there and resets everything. All we need is for the second user to be an ancestor of Eri with a time quirk.
Or have Deku reverse the rotation of the Earth.
I like the idea that best jeanist does triage and sews him back up, not that it would help but I think it's poetic that his heart was put back together by his mentor.

I will say, I’m totally down for another cheesy Deku moment. I feel like the “cheese factor” to characters like Deku and Koichi are partially why I like them so much.

Think people forget that Bakugou in the 2nd movie had OFA and thus why he can see the vesage. Notably why he pisses Shigiraki offand with his quirk, a 2nd quirk awakening would do even more damage as Bakugou isn't immune to his own quirk. In fact, Bakugou's death may be the dire warning about the fate for all quirk users for their quirks is that quirks can be self-destructive and if he does come back, no big deal. Though him dying or getting to this point is still shocking, but unlike Vigilantes, Bakugou's quirk was always destructive and most of his body has no real experience handling his quirk, barring his arms. In fact, there's a good chance Bakugou's quirk may be inherited to Deku as is a fragment of his soul as a grave reminder to Deku. And it's been a common saying, so to make it happen is still something. Giving him a 2nd quirk awakening would be nice, but Bakugou's quirk is one that would probably kill him anyways. Him staying dead would put more stakes into his decision personally to save Shigiraki. After all, Deku saving the guy who murdered his friend is going to be something that either has Deku want revenge or truly end Shigiraki/AFO as that's the personal element. Up to this point: Deku hasn't lost anyone directly connected to him that's bene in his life, but the death of Bakugou who will haunt him through OFA? That's a lot more compelling.
I’m so happy to see someone else who didn’t believe that Bakugo would stay dead. So many people have been freaking out thinking he would stay dead, and I have been thinking ‘This has happened so many times in other anime/manga that the chance of him staying dead is like 2%. Plus they didn’t lead up to it before the chapter. It just…happened.’
So it has been nice finding someone else who didn’t think Bakugo actually died.
Bakugo has also had death scares before.. and scares of turning villain, and all other manner of stuff.. Lol bakugou is really the linchpin in alot of the plot of MHA...
I know, right? When Bakugo got impaled, everyone thought that that's how he would die.
When Midoriya didn't wake up, everyone thought he either died or ended up in a coma.
It seems like Deku is going to be stuck fighting AFO's original body. I would love to see an epic quirk awakening from Bakugo and he is able to handle shiggy. At least do some serious damage until deku can arrive.
Love this idea but just the opposite way around. Bakugo fights AFO instead. Since Hori always has Bakugo mention how he’s going to be the one to put a end too AFO because what he did to him & All Might. I feel like that would close the chapter on Bakugo’s final character development before he heads into young adulthood. He gets to get closure & revenge for what he feels about himself & All Might. Deku fights Shigaraki because he wants to save Tenko.
the only issue to bakugo coming back is that his heart is destroyed and the only person we know of that can heal such a injury is eri but she's no where near the battlefield + the last time we saw eri her quirk was still on cooldown after restoring mirios quirk and that leads to another issue which is her quirk is heavily implied to not be able to bring people back from the dead since they could have just put night eye and midnight's bodies on ice then had eri revive them if her quirk could recurrent people but they didn't nor have they tried using her quirk on kurogiri/shirokomo who is a nomu aka a living corpse/undead in order to bring shirokomo back and also wipe out the brain washing AFO and the mad doctor have put on him in order to get information out of him.

@@lonniethewaffle that is a theory with no proof it's possible as best jeanist has only been shown to manipulate inorganic fibers so far and on top of his heart having exploded into pieces he has a huge whole in his chest both of which kill a person via bleeding out in a matter of seconds let alone combined but even if jeanist stitches his heart back together and his heart is restarted his heart would still be to bruised/damaged for him to survive as blood would still leak out of the stitched areas +his heart wouldn't be able to beat on it's own along with the blood loss further complicating things, the only person who you reverse all that by themselves is eri but her quirk is on cooldown + shes no where near the battlefield
I have mixed feelings on the whole Bakugo thing. On one hand I feel like its better for him to stay dead so it adds stakes and can give character growth to everyone else. On the other I really want Bakugo to get more story and have just as much stake as Todoroki. But if he does come back it makes any death the in story a little hard to take seriously anymore.
Tbh it is a lose lose scenario, but it's ballsy if Kohei did kill Bakugo but letting Gran Torino live.

He was gonna die regardless whether he did it trying to win which is in character, or if eveyone played hot potato with him to play keep away since he was Shigaraki's main target. But that would also just put everyone else at an even greater risk for trying to protect him.
Its a lose lose scenario, he realistically shouldn't get out of that situation unscathed and no one there is equipped to protect him in his current injured state. But this is us assuming he's actually fucking dead and i have my doubts
nitroglycerin is known to be able to restart hearts, so given we see Bakugou’s heart has stopped, then it should be forewarned that his quirk awakening will likely restart his heart and give him a second chance.

If Bakugo has a quirk awakening that saves his life, it should be something like implosion or putting things back together- you know, the opposite of Explosion
Him just forcefully pushing his body back together or heck, mini-exploding and -imploding his heart to manually pump it would give a reason for him to live

My guess deku sees dead bakugo and goes feral and is terrifying then bakugo wakes up and is like yo I’m alive then they both kick ass

I think the story would better served if they show that not all quirk awakeings are good. Think about it. Deku is not sure if he should use the second users quirk. If he sees the result of a destructive quirk awakening and killing its user it would have a bigger impact. Also there was a lot of foreshadowing. When he fought All Might he said I would rather blow myself than lose.
they specifically showed a pannel of bakugou's hearth EXPLODING, it has a HOLE in it, those are the kind of things that you NEVER see happening in comics when a character nearly-dies, the guy from vigilantes didt have anything as severe or inexcusable as the fucking hearth fucking EXPLODING, if they dont have a super STRONG deus ex machina, even within MHA World, there is NO WAY IN HELL Bakugou comes back to life, we would need literally one of the best plot twits or explanation in manga EVER, im talking top 5 explanations on HOW is this possible, wich is why I Think one of this 3 will happen: 1)they will completely absolutely deus ex machina and shit in the whole manga of BNHA 2) he will simly stay dead / bevome a vestige 3) Some sort of Time travel with eri

If Horikoshi uses time travel in cases like this I would like it explained well and stuff. If you don't use time travel effectively fans might wonder stuff like why didn't the heroes use it on dabi or another major threat.
The way I see it is the whole time travel aspect may be something they all discover by accident.

Congrats and welcome back, Dan! I don't really care too much for Bakugo, I get that he's the MC's rival and whatever, but I feel like his role's gotten kind of stale. Whichever BS deus ex machina is used for his comeback, it just better have a convincing plausible excuse for his return. If he stays dead, then it'd give a good reason for the other Class 1-A to develop more, which I think is sorely needed [I'm happy Jirou had a bit while annoying AFO lol]. The daddy issues family already gets so much screen time as it is, so I feel blasé towards Portable Thermostat and Angry Pomeranian. 😑 The only thing I see that would be a bit cool is if AFO!Shig manages to temporarily control FreshComatose!Bakugo almost like his Nomus, so Deku and co. has to fight to win him back over or something then cue an event that's a nod to Heroes Rising OFA temporary transfer. From that experience, maybe then they can figure out a way to fully bring back Oboro's memories afterward even though he's mostly considered dead. I'm rambling here. 🤷

I think the problem is people in the camp of bakugos not dead have not given a logical way he comes back and there doesn't seem to be one. It's not that people KNOW he's dead we hope he is because if not it'll be the worst part of mha's writing lol. I want him to come back but I'm certain if he does it won't make any sense

Congrats on the wedding, and hope your dad's doing well. I've fallen out of following what goes on in MHA but the leaks and chatter lately rekindled a want to be informed as a casual fan of the series and characters. I hope your theories are leaning toward correct. (can I ask as a random, what song you use for these vids? I really like it.)
Also I see a lot of people saying the 2nd users quirk has something to do with time and I couldn’t disagree more. Remember the 2nd user warned Deku to not use his quirk when he was trying to get back to the Battlefield. He said that it can damage his gear and that he shouldn’t want to do that because it would be no good during the actual battle. So I personally think the 2nd users quirk is plasma or some kind of energy that can turn into projectiles. The 2nd user also mentioned how his quirk was hard for him to handle at that time and with one for all it only got stronger and probably more out of control
they're probably going to use best jeanist or Eri to bring him back in some way, but I would prefer he actually stay dead.
that being said I'm bummed vigilantes is over, it was probably the first time ever I liked a spin off more than the actual series.

It doesn’t even seem like they tried to make it believable. They straight up explained how his awakened quirk is going to work before it showed him seemingly dead at the end of the chapter. Boy is going to be lit when he wakes up!! Literally.

Honestly if he stays dead I think that wouldn't be a good thing, but if he comes back to life that won't be a good thing either. If he stays dead, this is bassicly the final arc so we won't be able to see how this would go on to affect the characters later on, but if he just comes back to life it would be lame because it would feel ultimately pointless. Should have just gave him a traditional power up to fight rather that try to pretend he's dead. If anything he should have died in the other war arc, but this just kinda feels meaningless. I guess we'll have to wait and see though

The interesting thing about Bakugo‘s quirk awakening, is that I feel as though it damaged him because his body was already weaker due to getting beat down by Shiggy. I feel if he’s revived with a full healthy body with some kind of ass pull from Hori his quirk awakening won’t really hurt his body. The way I interpreted it was that he had a cloak made of explosions due to the immense sweat throughout his body. Meaning like an armor of some sort ,the opposition on the other hand may have a problem touching him because they would explode due to contact of the cloak. It felt like a OP quirk awakening on top of giving him eye blinking speed. If he comes back alive and able to fight it should get very interesting to see the full extent of his quirk.
Edge shot wasn't shown when everybody tried to save bakugo. And edgeshot is the only one who didn't have a reaction to bakugo. Horikoshi purposefully drew tamaki and nejire and showed us that they are injured . Horikoshi showed us everybody except edgeshot. And edgeshot has good knowledge about human's insides. He can't act qs a messenger like mirio and there is no reason for him to message anything when the pther heroes are at danger. I hink best jeanist legit lied to make shiggy feel at ease . It's also shown that after saying that bakugo has no pulse,nest jeanist tried to use his quirk. Since we can see his shirt getting torn off. Yes he isn't dead. And there is probably a good explanation towards that. People who think that doing this would make the story bad. They really haven't read a lot of shonen. Bakugo's whole character is great in terms of potential and if you kill that very potential then the whole point of developing him is a waste. Me excited for the next chapter. Mha is getting better again.
Agreed besides I think some people forget that Horikoshi promised that Bakugo had a huge role to play in this arc so I really think he's coming back. Also I've seen others say that in an interview Horikoshi said that he would NOT kill off any of the main characters. Lastly, I just want to add that I still can't get over how sudden and out of nowhere Bakugo's "death" was, it feels a little off to be honest. 🤔
You have a point there. He's also able to be paper thin to a point that shiggy won't notice him from a distance. I had completely forgotten he was there to be honest but then again he's supposed to be stealthy.

I see where you're getting at but keep in mind bakugo's quirk functions in a completely different manner from koichi's quirk. The way koichi was able to cover himself with his quirk kinda like deku's full cowling to hold his broken body together. Bakugo can probably do the same thing but the only thing it would accomplish is turning bakugo into a walking bomb which would lead to his death anyway.

Technically he should be resilient to his bomb attacks but idk anymore. I am with Bakugou is not dead because the way he died was just pathetic to say the least, WAAAY to tragic for a character who's the mc's rival. If he had AT LEAST done damage to Shigaraki I would say otherwise but he really didn't and his death just seemed so pointless and frustrating
Unless his awakening is similar to shig in terms bakugos awakening turns him into a meta. Meaning that his own explosive won’t hurt him, or just be resilient in general
I think Bokugo is dead dead. It’s because Horikoshi tired and done with the series. He’s rushing the ending. And this is what happens every time in anime. When a manga or anime isn’t doing well and they scramble to get views or to make something memorable, they start doing these perma deaths.
It’s a mangaka’s panic button. It never works out either.
He is not rushing anything. The series already has went over three volumes more than he originally planned.

Honestly I would love for your theory to be true and if it is awesome if it isn't well there goes a fan favorite character however I do agree again with all the points you've made but we just got to wait until next week for the results
I didn’t immediately connect what’s happening with Bakugo to vigilantes tbh. But I never thought he was actually dead. For one reason. It’s shit.
Throughout the series I’ve documented all the moments that have made me cry reading or watching it. The most recent one was Crusts death. The fact that enough impact was given to Crusts death to make me cry but that wasn’t given to Bakugo doesn’t feel right. I have too much respect for Horikoshi. If this is the way Bakugo actually dies. It’s shit writing to be frank. In the way a character dies you have to give meaning to it, it has to be impactful, give the reader chills at least. Bakugo’s “death” did none of that for me. So either he’s not dead or Horikoshi has been rushed massively and his writing has gone down hill. I’m hoping it’s the former because the latter would be a massive shame.

@@habibpines that’s a possibility, I can see Jeanist doing anything he can to save Bakugou. I mean their relationship is somewhat comparable to All Might and Midoriya so if it was them in this situation I can see All Might doing anything he can as well.
@@melit. well maybe since Jeanist is fiber manipulating quirk, not just from clothes, it could also manipulate cables seen in vigilantes, he might able to stitch Bakugo's heart tendon, but Eri rewind will work too, I mean it would be a plot hole if they didn't use Eri quirk on him, hell there's a rewind copied bullet thing that AFO use.

This could still be accurate. We already saw Bakugo talk to AM in a white space.. what if that's not a vestige world, but death's door? Bakugo is there because his heart stopped, but All Might could also be there because he's close to death. Maybe Edgeshot shows up here, as Jeanist is performing the surgery, and he'll tell Bakugo his work isn't done, that he's passing on his torch for him to carry. Then ninpo-Bakugo wakes up, and we hear a heartbeat.

The only problem I have with all that is going on in the story right now is Horikoshi making us wait, which is knife-twisting torture. I mean, will he? won't he? at this point I don't really care anymore, just as long as he gives Bakugo a proper sendoff if he does kill him, I am fine.

Pretty sure Bakugo is dead I mean his heart is overly messed up but since he can see a vestige pretty sure that makes the events in heroes rising canon and he will be guided to the vestige world. At least then he’ll still be part of the plot and still help Deku. Also Deku did start copying Bakugos movements way back as if Horikoshi has been preparing Deku for an explosion quirk. Also the theme in MHA is that their world isn’t a comic book that follows the “The Hero Always Wins” formula. This is just my take on all of this.

Welcome back, Dan. Bakugo is one of my favorite characters but it'll be a bummer if he lives. I think it'll take away the stakes from future fights if we know this Avatar Last Airbender spirit world can just be used to save any character from certain death

Now that vigilantes ended I think I’ll give it a read. I don’t think bakugo is dead, I never did, but I’m still torn on it. Part of me hates constant death flags, and unless his comeback is really good, it’s gonna annoy me that they faked out his death again. However I’m also not happy with his death, it wasn’t a good death for a main character and especially not for him, and just as you said, writers ask themselves if the character still has a purpose to serve or if their death serves something, and I really don’t think it does. Deku could roll up to other characters dead and still react the same, and remember his goal is to save shigaraki, which means the audience has to also be sold on his redemption, and I don’t see that happening as things are.
While I don´t think he´ll be permanently stay dead either, I think this time his death is neccessary to give Deku the boost to (hopefully) finally ended AFO for good. Deku might still be enranged and pushed his power if any random class 1-A student or, the top pros he´d gotten close to, died. But it won´t be as intense as if it was his Kacchan, his very first friend, first hero he knew, the one who had been with him thorough his entire life, and with whom he forged a close bond unlike what he had with others including his own mother or Uraraka.
Deku had awakened his first vestige quirk in defense of Kacchan, so I think it´s quite poetic that he awakened his last because of Kacchan as well.
That being said, I also can´t see Kacchan being permanently dead. In my opinion, Deku wouldn´t recover if he lost Kacchan. He´ll blame himself for not being there in time, for being too slow, maybe even for 'choosing' Shigaraki over Kacchan. I´m 90% sure that after he grew up and became real, adult pro-hero, he wouldn´t look back at this time fondly or saying that this was his journey to be "the greatest hero".
So is there hope for bakagou to come back and heal his heart 😢😢😢💔

@@jacktg1137 the thing is, the theory doesn’t technically fit the storyline. Eri can rewind time, but only on living beings and moving matter. So, I would say I don’t think eri could have the possibility of saving bakugou.

A body part known to pretty much be an instant game over if you lose it

While i do believe he would be in the vestige world he aint coming back considering deku hasno regen quirk because the second users quirk was meant for speed and also maybe a projectile
Tho shigarafo wasnt even scared he was being casual before realising that he eeds to be serious
He quite literally asks himself why he was mad never mentionning being scared
Bakugou is 100% dead his heart exploded with the second movie and vigilantes He could be a vestige for Deku to push him forward for the future
Bakugo is somehow related to the second user and has some sort of residue in his genes from one for all, so somehow his quirk will be tied to the vestige world? Maybe we’ll see the vestiges talking to Bakugo. Also I say this because I remember that one chapter where the second and first user? (I think) were saying how every ofa user needs something but it didn’t tell us, the next panel was Bakugo and the panel before that was the second user. Idk

Good to see ya again Dan, but my enthusiasm for MHA has waned since last you graced my screen, and I just don't care as much about it no more.
Hell, Black Clover came back from break recently, and I was more pumped for that than most things that have occurred in Hero recently.
It's tragic, really.
MHA was my favorite series for 7 years, and now that it's nearing its end, it seems to have lost its luster.
Here's hoping it doesn't get too much worse before the end.

I'm seriously loving the amount of theorising and interpretation going into Bakugou's death! I have been pretty certain he's gone but these analyses are making me more open to any and all possibilities... I really was surprised by lack of deaths especially Knuckleduster after how the story had set up for it and the link you make between what happened in Vigilantes and what could happen in MHA is a really compelling point.
Ok....so if best jeanist reconstructs Bakugo's heart....wouldn't that mean Bakugo would now have a *JEART???*

I like that, but it's been a regular theme in MHA that "this isn't a comic book," with the characters themselves referring to themselves as characters in a book. I am not sure if that would support the idea of Bakugo coming back or discouraging it, but that theme is there.
ikr i thought lida would die in hosu city, but as being kind of not a side character he didn't. its obserd to think that a character like bakugo would die, it cant be, an author cant kill the sasuke of a manga/anime, am i right? if he does then well the story will be emotional and, well, just like all might he will have a reason to morn over the war with afo.
