Serving governors should be stripped of their immunity. No one should hide behind any law to steal from the coffers of their States. Yaya Bello should face his years of misrule and atrocities in Kogi State.
Imagine a case where 1000 persons file frivolous suit against the governor and he has to be in court to defend each suit and then imagine the distraction. The problem is with the fact that state houses of assembly are almost functionally useless and are an appendage of the executive arm. The state judiciary are also not spared. We have to think of a way to build and strengthen institutions.

The learned SAN who is saying that a State High Court has no jurisdiction to entertain matters involving federal agencies in generic terms, is misrepresenting the law and misinforming the public.
It cannot be in all matters. Fundamental human rights cases are matters of concurrent jurisdictions of both State High Courts and Federal High Court.
Section 46 of Nigerian Constitution and the provisions of Fundamental Human Rights Enforcement Procedure 2009 , are clear and unambiguos.
If a state high court had restrained EFCC, the Commission proper duty ought to be appeal against such an order or going to the same court to set it aside. Going to a court of concurrent jurisdiction to obtain an order to force themselves to perform a public duty, rather ridicules the law and the judiciary.
