So wonderful to see your father so enjoy making pizza with you Vito. His smile and joy is shown through your enthusiasm and joy of making pizza. A very special and terrific video of both of you together, A memory never to be forgotten
Vito , your papa's passion for pizza exceeds yours! I love the "relax, relax" Italy meets LA attitude. I want to see Walter and Zoe making pizza with Nonno in a few years. ❤️
After investing in a 430 C electric pizza oven, and implementing some of the things I learned on this channel I quit going to local pizzerias. It's very few places that actually have a clue about what they are doing, unfortunately. The bari style looks delicious, but nothing beats the Neapolitan. When thinking about it, the Bari style looks closer to how many people view Italian pizza. "Thin and crispy" is all I hear people say. My answer is: Depends on the region you visit!
As Italian I can tell the reason why people thinking all pizzeria in Italy have the thin and crispy. ‘Cause in the big cities( except Naples) every pizzeria had the thin and crispy. All pizza chef now( at least the 90%) make the pizza napoletana cause is becoming famous in the last 10/15 years, now in the north there’s more pizzeria with Neapolitan pizza than Naples😂😂. But before that in the north( where I from) pizza chef who made Neapolitan pizza were a rarity, as the Neapolitan pizza chef didnt emigrate( and the association of Neapolitan pizza chef were jealous of that kind of pizza😂😂) to other regions and the locals did a similar to that seen in the video, and with that I grew. Now it is the opposite!! I think that making the Neapolitan one has become a fashion and there is this false myth that if you make it thin and slightly more crunchy no one comes and eat your pizza.
super cute daddy, son and grandson !! thank you for sharing your passion and great teaching!!! 👍 👌 👏 watching this in tears..😭😭😭😭 I miss my chef papa so much.. lots memories with him teaching me how to cook ....he left us in 2017..
cooking is so much more than throwing ingredients together. Passion and love are what turns ingredients in to something fantastic. You two radiate that love and it truly is an honor to watch you do what you do
father and sun moment !! 🙂lost my father this summer and looking at this makes me smile !!! I wish I could have travel to Italy with my dad !! Born in quebec but from Italian grand parents !!
I love how you are a proud Papa handing your Son to your father with total trust and love! The smile on your fathers face is so awesome. Congrats Vito!!!
Watching your dad make the individual pizza dough ball as he pulled the dough amout of the bulk piece cause me to reflect on the years of experience as he form each one. To think of the thousands of pizza those hands made. And from those hands to now yours you carry the history of making pizza. The greatest gift can Father can do is pass on his knowledge, understanding and wisdom of what made him the father that birthed and was raised by passing it on to you to pass on to you children. Thus the memory of family history and traditions is passed on generation to generations. I know he enjoyed very much making pizza with you at that event it is a memory he will never forget, sharing his passion with you and seeing you carry that passion into the future, while passing it on to all who watch you.
To see his father is such a blessing. The transfer of knowledge and skill you describe is the highest form of respect in restaurant families. It brings tears to my eyes to see it.
Seeing your Dad greet his Grandson made me cry a little, I am now getting my first child but unfortunately ten years to late. Family is the only thing that matters!
I'm only 5 minutes in and damn, when your father talks about dough its so wholesome, i really love his passion. Vito, you changed my life by making it possible to make a real good, homemade pizza in germany .. our pizzas are - depending on location - everything from ok to very bad. Thank you and thanks to your dad as well! I will try his recipe :)
I cannot choose between the pizzas because it’s like comparing a Ferrari to a Lamborghini. Both are A+ from masters of the art. Amazing to see your dad, Vito. He was glowing when holding your son.
Watching your Father, I see the knowledge, pride, and love that he puts into his pizzas. He really cares about making it perfectly beautiful and delicious. From Father to son, he has passed on this tradition.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 when parents spend time to teach there kids everything they know don't have a price. Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 . You're the best!
Since I started subscribing to Vito's channel my pizza making skill and knowledge has improved dramatically. Before, I was always looking for the "Best" frozen. Then I tried "Take and Bake". They were average. Nothing is better than baking your own from scratch!
Vito, this video is like a love letter to your father. The close-up footage of his dough ball technique and the editing of it is very sensitive. It's nice to meet him!
This is epic to watch both Maestros making two styles of authentic Italian pizza!! We are glad you and your Dad were able to show the difference. I am one of your students in Master Class in Pizza Making online. I am beginner, retired with new passion in pizza baking. We have also a home in Casoli, Italy Abruzzo region about 2.5 hours from Napoli. I can not wait to show them what I learned from you 🍕🍕🍕🇨🇮Grazie Mille Ciao Also from California🇺🇸
The banter over the wrong roller made my heart smile. Reminded me so much of moments I have with my father. Grazie Vito, ho imparato qualcosa di nuovo!
I’ve just subscribed to your channel . Going to make my first pizza this weekend in Australia! In your other videos you spoke about pizza and love. Just watched this video and I could see the wonderful love and respect between you and your dad. That was very real and evident . Bravi.
You guys immediately put a smile on my face, thanks for all your inspiration! Your family is awesome! I never order pizza from any chain anymore, I make homemade pizza almost every week now!
Whoever thought you can learn passion from UA-cam? The Maestro and his family show it is possible. There is so much more to this channel than just HOW to make pizza. From building a pizza one can learn about building a better life. As the Maestro's Maestro -- his father -- says, the whole process is miraculous.
Love all your videos. The passion that you and your father have for making pizza is awesome. Truly love the art of pizza and different ways to make it.
Your father is great. 'Like when you make the bread, it's a miracle. You tell yourself wow, I created this!' I've just started making my own pizza and that is so true. Amazing that he still thinks that after all these years.
❤❤....mi hai fatto scendere le lacrime.. Nella prima parte del video... emozione indescrivibile.... Vorrei conoscerti dal vivo ...in America... saluti da Toronto Canada 😊
Vito it's very refreshing to see you cook TRADITIONAL Neapolitan style pizza again instead of using poolish! Can you do more of this please and even do a video of the process from start to finish
That was a great video! I enjoyed watching all of it and seeing the really delicious looking pizzas coming out of the oven. Honestly, I think it’s pretty much impossible to find stuff like that unless you make them yourself. And then you are now teaching us to do that! Thank you!
I love this video! Your Dad is amazing!!!!! I'm brand new to pizza making, so I'm going to have to try both ways (rolling vs. stretching the dough). So happy I found your channel. Thank you so much. ❤❤
i made brian lagerstroms roman pizza tonda yesterday and it turned out great, the bari style looks very similar but with a bit more bread in the crust.
Omg. I'm now watching this and I'm soooo excited. He's not my dad and I feel greatand smiling from ear to ear, it just changed my entire mood and I'm only at 2:48. Ok, ok I'm gone now to continue watching. Oh and I made poolish at 6:50 this evening for 2 pizzas tomorrow evening.
Pizza Bari style or Neapolitan?
Neapolitan, any day of the week!!!
Neapolitan, I prefer the soft and crunchy crust over just crunchy. But both are good.
What is the water H20 % ?
You need to tell us 😅
Neapolitan
Love your dad. I see where you get all that passion for Pizza from
