I love a square-neck top too, especially in white. This is the best neckline under classic blazers, which I love to wear. A V-neck or scoop-neck can look awkward under the V-neck, notched lapel of a classic blazer. I’m not a fan of rounded- or crew-necklines on me, but Sezane’s Betty Cardigan (most of them) has the addition of a classic pointed collar, which adds the sharpness I want. I have multiple Bettys, including the one you’re wearing here, but in all-navy. I don’t like the more rounded collar on it, but otherwise love it. (Turtlenecks look great under blazers, too but aren’t flattering with my slight, hereditary double-chin). Sezane’s Paula Babies sling-back MaryJanes are a favorite of mine, too. I keep buying more Bettys and Babies as they add more beautiful color-ways, these are styles that I will love and wear forever. I’m just thrilled about the current return of classic, elegant, high-quality clothing.
I love white trousers, jeans, etc., white is my favorite color to wear, by far. I’m still only finding ivory/cream, not the “Brilliant White” that Pantone predicted for this season. It’s impossible to find true white clothes here in the US in autumn/winter collections (except for tees and button-front shirts). I really want to find more white dresses year-round, not just in summer cottons and linens. True white is so much better with my cool coloring than ivory or cream, but I usually have to compromise on the latter. I’m hoping to find a true-white trouser and blazer suit this spring.

Nice outfits. But, it’s time to lighten up the eye makeup; false lashes and heavy black liner are out of style. French-girl, natural-looking, makeup is much more chic, elegant and modern.
