Surgical Technology Program at Tri-C

A surgical technologist is an allied health professional who assists the surgeon and assistants by passing instrumentation and supplies during surgical procedures. A surgical technologist may be employed in the surgical department of hospitals, surgery clinics and other surgery specialty areas. The program at Cuyahoga Community College provides a hands-on surgery lab and four semesters of clinical experience to enable students to gain essential surgical skills. Students will be prepared to take the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Examination. The Surgical Technology Program is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
