Great job!!! After building the x-wing I realized its best to do a wash before applying any decals otherwise the thin wash will zip under the decals mostly from the edges ;)
Tip!!! for the decals apply and heat with hairdryer and press down, they will conform over the little raised details mine look like they are painted on you cant tell they are decals ;)
Great video, Bryan! I have about decided not to mess with the stickers/decals at all and just painting everything. Your Y-Wing turned out great and the X-Wing is coming along, too. Thanks for the tips; they will be a big help! - Jeff
Wow....Awesome work on the Y Wing...... That turned out awesome.... Love the weathering and use of the Sharpies..... Mrs. Diablo recently bought the Metallic set for me... I used them on the bolt heads and such on the Calsonic.... They are such a useful tool and for me easier to work with than a paint brush..... Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much Chris, i use (or cheat) with the sharpies a lot. Orange or red for tail lights and sometimes blue and red for fittings. Thanks again!!
They look great. You should check out the Star Trek uss grissom and Kilgon bird of prey kit. I think you will like those also. Similar kit in that it brings both ships in a small scale. Really good kit. I think I’ll pick up this Bandai kit now that I’ve seen yours.
@@onixfieroandscalemodelworks here is the link. The video is mostly about the Discovery. The last few minutes I show the birdnof prey. 😊 ua-cam.com/video/jzZf6FBAJZU/v-deo.html

Wow turned out great Bryan!! I love these little kits, bought a new one this morning at HL, the Resistance Vehicle Set. Your Y Wing is awesome, the yellow stripe & weathering is spot on!!!

Will you do a video on them. Would love to see how yours turn out.

Awesome!! Yes please do get a kit or 2 and become one of the Ban Dai brothers 😉
So Fantastic video 👍💛♥️💜🌼🌹💚💙🌼 New fan♥️🙏
Bryan, they Y-Wing and X-Wing look amazing!
Wow thanks!!
Very nice work my friend!
I wish the kits I purchased had clear bases, the black ones are very prominent. I'll probably just piant them a darkish grey.
I would have liked some clear bases too! Would be really cool if Bandai sold them separately..
Awesome Brian those turned out awesome!! ;)
Those are great looking Bryan. Very good job on the Y wing and the X wing is looking great also. Can I be a Bandai brother? Papadan
You sure can Papa-Bandai
Awesome brother
Nice work Bryan, :)
Y-wing looks good , it’s just to bad you used gloss clear paint now your model looks like a toy rather then a movie prop
No gloss clear on the build. the yellow and the white cones were gloss rattle can paint. It does appear a bit shiny on video.
👍👌🍺🍺🍻🇿🇦😎🇺🇸
Not a Sci-fi guy but,very cool.👍
I built the X wing and Tie fighters in that scale. Check it out on my UA-cam channel DMG Scale Models.
Those are tiny models ggeezz but nice work Brian !!
