    You can keep your phone from getting hot by putting a wet sponge behind your phone. As the sponge gets hot, I just remove it, and pour some water on the sponge, and put it back on. That actually works pretty good. I finally switched to the RC Pro, mainly because I would have to remove the phone from my Otter case, and every time I started flying, my phone would ring. The RC Pro cost a crap load of money, but I use my Air 2S a lot more now. Plus if you have the fly more combo case, the controller fits in the same spot inside the case as the old controller did. So no need for the Pelican case.

    I started with the Air 2s combo using my iPhone 11, the, bought an iPad mini 5. I saw a few influencer's videos and bought a Tripltech tablet from the USA which for me was too heavy and shipping was expensive I I tried it and sold it within a week. Amazon and DJI said the RC Pro was not and would not be compatible that's why I bought the Tripltech. DJI eventually brought out the firmware to make the Air 2s workable. YEEEEAAA. And now I feel the same as yourself. This is the best, plus using a micro HDMI to mini HDMI cable, I can fly using my original v1 goggles. fantastic. great review.

    Hey! I stumbled across your video as I began researching what the RC Pro was all about, and how it compares to the regular RC. Your video was one of the top search results.
    I'd like to share my thoughts with you as I watched your video, if you don't mind! :) I don't mean to sound critical or harsh in anything I'm saying, I just want to share what I thought while I watched your video.
    First thoughts -- wow your channel is small, but I wouldn't have guessed that by simply looking at your thumbnail and your video intro. You have a really nice camera & lens, excellent color grading, a high quality mic, perfect lighting on you and the background, it all looks really, really good. I wish you and your channel the best and hope that it grows, because you seem to be nailing the foundation of any "good youtuber." 🙌
    0:12 Alright, so, starting at the beginning of the video. You start by saying "I have the DJI controller. I don't remember the exact name for it ..." I'll be honest, right there, I suddenly lost a lot of confidence in your video. It didn't feel like a good start. What quickly went through my mind is "wait, if this video is all about the RC Pro controller according to the video title and he can't even remember the name, how can I trust that he'll be able to share knowledgable and trustworthy information about it?" Truth be told I came close to clicking away and looking for another video right there, but I decided to stick around, because, honestly, your video editing and camera quality kept me engaged. Now, will everyone think that kind of thought I had? Probably not, but you want to elecit a confidence with your audience. After all, I came here to give 6 minutes of my time to learn from you.
    0:22 A few seconds later, you indeed do call out the name of the product. Okay, cool, now I know for certain we're thinking about the same product. Ideally, I would have left the part out of you checking the back of the controller to find the name, and instead, just know name of the product from the beginning.
    0:29 You perform a subtle zoom-in to emphasize a point and later zoom back out. Nice touch! 👍
    1:23 You mention that DJI stopped making the smart controller, and then you say "or something." Again, the "or something" part makes me lose confidence and feel uncertain. If you're not exactly sure if DJI stopped making it or not, then why mention it? If you want to mention it, then research the answer beforehand.
    1:29 You say "get the DJI RC Pro" because you really like it. Alright, cool, now I'm ready to know why you feel that way. However, the video feels like it abruptly changes subjects by switching to your first impressions section. Granted, you do talk about why you like it (don't need a phone, nice joysticks, and a very bright screen), but it takes long enough for you to get to those points in your first impressions part that it feels disconnected from your "you should get the DJI RC Pro" statement. Maybe save that statement for the end of the video after all your talking points. Orrrrr... something like "get the controller, here's why ..." and go right into listing the pros and features of it.
    2:15 I really like how you talk about that you tried to convenience yourself to return it, but you couldn't do it. That showed me how much you personally *really* liked the controller, not just sorta liked it.
    4:03 Spent a little too long talking about the pelican case, in my opinion. It's not the focus of the video.
    Misc: I wish your topdown camera shot was rotated 180 degrees. I can't easily read what's on the controller's screen because it's upside down. :( Also, even if you did rotate it 180 degrees, sometimes you pick up the controller with your hands and tilt the screen towards you. Keep it flat on the table so the viewer can see it clearly.
    Okay, that's all I have. I don't even know why I decided to write this comment. I've never left feedback like this before. I hope you don't take it negatively, because I don't mean it that way. I wish you the best!
    P.S. You have a new subscriber now! :D

    To be a filmmaker taking nature photos, sunsets, beach shots etc sure it is a great even a perfect choice of controller, but want to do mapping or more complex automated or repeatable instructions then it is not the best choice (not only because they have not released the SDK but the processing power is not there) for my work that is why I use the RC-N1 and Tripltek 8 Pro, it’s brighter than the DJI RC Pro but the processing power is not even comparable it’s like a Prius VS a Tesla.

    i bought my a2s back in july 2021 and love it. i thought about getting the smart controller around the time i got my a2s but when doing research i realized the smart controller was already 2 or 3 years old. knowing how tech always improves i knew eventually they would update the smart controller.
    fast forward the mavic 3 comes out with the the rc pro and while it wasnt compatible with the a2s at the time only a matter of time before dji would offer a firmware update to make it compatible.
    well they did and it took me a while to decide to get the rc pro but i went ahead a bought it from dji's website and have been using it as much as i can to fly my drone.
    i love this controller and it makes setup much quicker. the battery life definitely doesn't last as long as the regular controller but like you i hated using my phone.
    it was fine at first but as time went on i became less and less motivated to fly my drone.
    the battery would always dim on my iphone 11 pro max and i was getting tired of always setting up cables to plug in.
    i love this new controller.

      Definitely worth it! Mia biggest gripe was really just the process of taking out my phone. Even with battery life being a bit shorter (which was expected) I’ve fully enjoyed this thing!

    Same for me, when got it u can not even send it back. Also with the Mini 3 RC Controller, the RC Pro is a lot more professional. The RC Pro have to be compatible with all newer DJI Drones so we only have to carry one controller with us anymore. I think the RC PRO will be compatible with mini 3 at least end July when the Mini 3 is sold separtely :)

    • @filmsbyaaronguerrero
      @filmsbyaaronguerrero  2 роки тому +1

      Yeah, as much as I wanted to send it back. There’s was no way I was getting rid of it! I love it so much.
      I do wish they made it easier to pair or add multiple drones without having to repair every time. It doesn’t affect me since I’m flying a single drone but if I ever wanted to get a Mavic 3, it would be nice to have that feature to make things easier.

    I just bought it tonight. My phone case also doesn't fit the standard controller and I HATE IT. Also when I'm filming hyperlapse I want to use my phone to pass the time. The standard DJI RC is also a good option but there were a few features I wanted the pro controller only had.

    any issues with the controller compass? my rc pro compass doesn't align correctly (green dot) and don't let my calibrate in settings.

    Awesome video man! How do you focus lock on the RC pro using the Mavic three?? I was just shooting something for work and I almost smashed the RC pro because I could not figure out how to focus lock.

    • @filmsbyaaronguerrero
      @filmsbyaaronguerrero  Рік тому

      This is a great question! I’ve never used focus lock, I’ll usually just tap the screen to focus and that’s about it. I’ll have to look into this!

      I was so pissed, when I decided to pull the trigger on the A2S they had just stopped selling that A2S/RC pro flymore combo and had replaced it with the smart controller. I think I missed it by a few weeks. I went ahead and got the combo with smart controller, hated it so bad (the range sucked) I returned it to best buy and ordered the A2s flymore combo and purchased the RC pro seperately. What a diference. I love it.
