I'm not sure why H.E.R. playing Belle makes me SO emotional, but it totally does.
Because she's a rocker. She kind of like has the down to earth nature of Avril Lavigne.

See at first I was skeptical about this, but after I watch their performances I actually really like it. All actors did a very good job, and the stage is really magical. Can't complain 👏🏻

Not a fan. Disney better remake Princess and the Frog and culturally appropriate it too, better be an Asian or white woman. So unfair
"Princess and the Frog" is inspired by the Brothers Grimm "Frog Prince". It's German. Plenty of retellings of that one - sure you could find an all white cast to enjoy.

In the USA (home of Disney and it's origins), we still don't have a black prince from a major Disney movie production, and every opportunity Disney had to do it, they passed it up, intentionally. Everybody knows deep down Prince Naveen should have been black. They keep changing princesses to black women and still keeping black male royalty out and keeping the princes white. Disney knows *exactly* what they are doing.

This was sooo lame. They where sooo cheap on the sets. They probably spent so much money on actors/actresses they forgot sets. The little mermaid 30th special was sooo much better. I couldn’t finish this.

The movie was set in 18th century France. It was not diverse like 21st century America. Just stating the obvious. It's a stage production-do you ever watch theater. Like Come On in one production- the mom could be Asian, the dad could be Spanish and the son white.

And funny how nobody saif anything about a Spanish girl being Cinderella or a white girl playing an Arab princess. And Aladdin made alot of money but the uproar was all about Will Smith saying a blue Genie. If your not going to do traditional casting fine, but don't show the film scenes and then do live performances of the cartoon when your cast doesnt look like the cartoon come to life. also being inclusive isn't just for the people of color with dark skin, it means include all people of color like native americans, people from India, and asian Americans, porataricans and people of jewish and Arab decent. they don't get to take over the market on inclusion for the but not other people of color in the world. and in this day and age there aint no such thing as pure this or pure that everyone has parents who have mixed genes, and I think trying to relaim what doesnt need to be reclaimed is being biggitive and being a bully.

The entire cast is diverse. The current UK stage production has neither Belle nor The Beast being played by white actors, and this is typical theater casting.
