My apple watch unpaired itself and I wasn’t aware of this until I noticed that my activities app wasn’t recording my workouts. Now my phone won’t let me pair it again not unless I wipe out all the data first, including the data stored after it was unpaired.

ENMAR68 I think it’s worth noting that doing an iphone backup does NOT automatically make an apple watch backup at the same time. The apple watch MUST be unpaired from the iphone in order for a new backup to be created.

How do I unpair and still keep my activity rings and achievement badges also it now shows I have 2 Apple watches and one says ‘this Apple Watch is no longer paired to this iPhone’ how do I get rid of that one and how do I know which is which ?

Greetings Daniel, my iphone was factory reset due to an issue that i didn't expect and my 100gb files was totally erased and the tech says i'd no chance to retrieve coz I did not use my icloud well it's only 5gb, and ofcourse didn't have a chance to "unpair" it on apple watch app and not sure if i have an Apple Watch Icloud backup because i am not using icloud backup, but im sure it is enabled though its only 5gb. Does that count? does it have backup on Apple Watch?
and the thing is, my Apple Watch Series 4 data is still intact and needed to erase all content manually to pair it on my newly factory reset Iphone.

If you have iCloud backup turned on, it will automatically create an Apple Watch backup every time you backup your iPhone or unpair your Watch from you phone. If your iCloud Storage is full, then it probably hasn’t created a backup any time soon. The thing is, there’s nothing you can do now, you should pair to your factory reset iPhone and hope there’s a recent backup there.
@@DanielAboutTech I see. Is there any way i can manually backup my Apple Watch Series 4? or send my photos to my Iphone or to any device in any way?
