I dunno what it is about American country music, but as a guy from England, UK I just feel _so_ drawn to it!! Maybe because it reminds me a _lot_ of Irish folk music? I mean, I believe those _were_ the roots of American country music, or so I've heard. But there's just something about it that calls to my soul. And it doesn't hurt that it instantly cheers me up on a bad day and gets me jiggling in my seat or dancing around my living room! :D This is currently my favourite cover that Home Free has done - and that's a hard choice because I love literally every song they have ever released! But this one? This one just hits me right in the happy bone 😁
The daughter-in-law I live with is Thai, and she makes some pretty darn good! Her Spring rolls are only outdone by her Summer rolls! Pad Thai....Curry....dumplings....GOOD STUFF! 😋 I loved this when John Denver did it, and I loved this version....especially Austin's yodeling.😍
John Denver recorded this song back in 1974. The song topped, both the billboard magazine, “Hot Country Singles” and the Billboard “Top Hot 100” charts.
You probably have heard the original by John Denver. He is an OG! Sadly he is no longer with us but his music will live on in the hearts of many who grew up listening to him and all that have just discovered his music and the ones to discover him in the future.
Thank you for checking out this song- I love their take on this song (original by John Denver), the words, the yodeling, and when the boys are unsupervised cooking their burgers on an open FIRE! When you get a chance, pause the video on the screen when Austin is ordering coffee- read the sign with all the writing on it- it is hilarious! Elvira with the Oak Ridge Boys is definitely checking out as well! All the best Saucey Dad!
SauceDad, There are some people that just have to complain, no matter what - whether they are having a good day or not. That's just how they are. Just say, Thank you for your suggestion - and move on. They have an unending supply of information and videos at their fingertips. And they can go elsewhere. Thank you for all the time and effort you take to put up with a world full of different kinds of people. Some of us appreciate what you do.
Love this one! They’re just so goofy and I love them. Love Austin’s yodeling and the boys shenanigans. I noticed the horse checking out Tim’s c……😝! Yeah, and on a video with Peter Hollens a horse is loving Tim in the beginning (You’ve Got a Friend). This is just a fun video and the song is so good. I’ve always loved your reactions and you do encourage us to check out the artists. Have a good week Saucey!🥰🥰
"Nothing runs like a Deere." John Denver got me through some scary Canadian back roads one spring. The washouts on the road marked with empty beer cans on sticks and us kids standing on logs across the road so the family station wagon could get over them. Fun times. Loved the camping, hate fishing.
I've watched numerous of your Home Free videos and can honestly say that you have always been very supportive of the group. Haters are going to hate. Just ignore them.
It's so nice to see you back with the guys. I really enjoy watching your reaction to these guys. Some people are just a little pushy about their feelings.
I grew up with this song because my dad used to play it on eight-track. He has a wonderful tenor voice, but I never appreciated it back then. Anywho, John Denver songs rocked us to sleep, and I'm totally aging myself here, I guess. I don't care. Sally Goodin is an old fiddling song, very old/classic stuff. John Denver never really made a bad song. Grandma's Feather Bed has always been my favorite. Glad you're reacting to HF again! They made this song even better, and I LOOOOOOVE the original, so that says something. It's the yodeling for me. That's not easy, but Austin can pretty much pull off anything. They all can, can't they?
I'm old enough to remember when this song was new and I think the late, great John Denver would have approved. I always loved John Denver's song about Forest Lawn ("Take me when I'm gone to Forest Lawn") - it was a really satirical song that never got much air play, but I still love it!
So much fun watching the guys being goofy. Needed that today. Tornado ran through town. Waiting for the lights to come back on. Thank goodness for the cell phone so I could watch your reaction.
Thank you Laura. My family and I are fine. Three of the nephew's came and hooked up a generator so note the house is working. Quite a few are not so lucky. We don't have a big tornados Pasadena, Tx... until now. Again thank you so much.
As for whoever complained, Saucey, it is not your responsibility to tell us who to support. If we can see the video to click on it, we can see the option to pay too. Of course, you can suggest it, but I don't see why you should be villainized for not saying it every time. You're bringing exposure to artists. That alone helps a lot. We're responsible for our own actions, so whatever we do after seeing an artist is on us, not you
You might be recognizing this song from the movie “Son in Law” from 1993. Seems like some of the scenes they did for the video seems inspired by it.

Oh, I didn't know that one yet. That was fun 😀 If I may suggest something completely different, here are three songs from Ayreon that are worth a look: And The Druids Turn To Stone (ua-cam.com/video/lR-foGKsus0/v-deo.html) Beautiful, chill song about the creation of Stonehenge Valley Of The Queens (ua-cam.com/video/TbebO5BZi-I/v-deo.html) A folky trio with three very talented femaie singers Everybody Dies (ua-cam.com/video/9AAXtUdM7xE/v-deo.html) Hard to describe. The most upbeat song about a dystopian apocalypse, perhaps? It's the most metal of the three for sure.
Always so much fun. That wasn't a cock, it was a hen. Ignore those nay sayers, many channels don't say more than what the song is and who's singing it.
I paused this to read the coffee descriptions . . . and they're funny as hell! If you get time, pause the video and read the coffee shop menu. I loved John Denver and I think he'd have approved of their rendition. There are only 2 reactors who have ticked me off - one of them kept toking a joint (hey, kids watch these!) and the other kept harping about Austin's accent (I dunno what his little issue is . . ). I didn't lecture, I just didn't subscribe and have never watched them again.
John Denver's classic reinvented by our boys. Love this.
The boys have no shame!! Love them so much!! They can sang too!! Ty Saucey Dad!!
I'm really surprised that someone said that. I've always found you to be very supportive of the artists.
You know the owners of the farm afterwards were like " HOME FREE⁉️ I think they meant SET FREE‼️" 😂🤣🥰 Great reaction Nick‼️
5:34 that part always gets me because it seems so genuine like it wasn't meant to happen or atleast not to the extent it did.

Yep. Irony that the 3 country boys wouldn't know to close the gate AND that it took Austin a while to remember how to start the tractor.
You gotta go back & read the drink menu.... Hilarious 😂 🥰
John Denver would be happy with this... These guys make me laugh so hard.. Love you Home Free you're my Boys 🏡🆓🏡🍟💕💕💕💕
There’s guy are just so much fun and so talented , great reaction Saucy Dad
Enjoyed watching you react to this. It is fun.

What a fun cover of John Denver's song. I really enjoy seeing the guys silly side but the vocals never suffer. Love Austin's yodeling.
I agree. They did a great job! This is one of my favorite John Denver songs!
Keep up the great work Nick! You always make me laugh. Love Home Free.
One of their funniest ones, I love it!
Have always found you to be very supportive of the artist you are reacting to/ reviewing. Love how Home Free covered this one.
Fun song. These guys are so amazing.❤️
I just wish John Denver was still here to appreciate this

And the die hard Home Fries will of course know what the whip nay nay is all about 🤣🤣
@@andreaislandgirl720 YES!!!!!😂😂😂
I cannot believe you haven't seen this, yet, Nick! Oh my gosh this was hilarious! I love your face at the flaming grill, lol.

This is such a fun song. These guys are so awesome! Love your reaction!
Love love love these guys♡ So talented and love their sense of humor. I know no other group like them.

There is also a From the Vault BTS video for this one that I recommend. Just more goofiness from our boys, lol.
Love this one so funny.
You. Need to see the behind the scenes.

I hope everyone is ok, with minimal damage !❤🤗

The fact that you haven’t reacted to their cover of “Elvira” with the Oak Ridge Boys is a crime.
You are speaking my Asian love language

Chinese food, internet, books, and the occasional shower. That's all I'd need other than a random cabin in the woods. I understand what you mean.
Good stuff
🤘🤠🤘
Coffee looks like it is Caribou.
I still like you...more Home Free, please! 😁

Austin had a hard time getting the mower going after saying it is easy.
Not a huge fan of yodeling - unless it's Austin. 😆🍟 Thanks Nick.
Ummm you forgot Beef Fried Rice (or chicken), sweet & sour chicken, sesame chicken....LOL I love Chinese also!
I would be very surprised if you haven't heard the John Denver version.
Please react to Adam calhoun Ryan upchurch and jelly roll these artists are independent and are amazing.
The word you were looking for about Tim was “rooster” - I know you wouldn’t use the slang in that complex.
Context, not “complex”
I bet he does have a large rooster...
