    Managed to close the early hints so far that you skipped the instructions on how to move placed nodes. XD

    Node Farm dev here - thank you for playing it on your channel! It is awesome to see my own game on my subscription feed :D
    I got a lot of great feedback here. I am going to go through it and implement in the next version of the demo. Answering most of the crucial ones - you can move already placed nodes by holding LMB over them for a few seconds. Additionaly, you can hold SHIFT to take them instantly, and CTRL to not break connections if possible. And well... you did a great job without using this functionality :D I didn't expect that it is possible to beat boss this way!
    It was on one of the hints, that were accidentally covered by other hints and closed - my fault. Thanks to watching you play I can see more things that has to be more explicit + with confirmation from the player that he learned it. Similar things with taxes and tools on toolbar (like delete or show connections buttons).
    Btw, I see that there are some glitches in the first part of the video (like in 0:57) - did you have this issue while playing? Or it is only on the footage? Never had this one before. May be some in game compatibility issue with your setup (display fps, resolution?).
    Full version of the game will have much more content (like livestock, more advanced cooking, fishing, or mining that you mentioned), more ways to play (builds), play modes (like sandbox or survival - where taxes make you lose), permanent progression, online coop and mods support :)
    Thanks again for playing and for your precious feedback! I hope you liked it and sorry for issues! Working on fixing them

      The glitching is definitely a capture issue on my end. I think it's because I'd done the goof recording my whole screen at the beginning and I didn't think to check my footage afterwards to see if it was okay.
      And don't apologize for the issues! It's a demo, so it's meant to have rough edges! Despite my slight critical stance at times, I really enjoyed Node Farm and can't wait to see how the full version turns out. Especially the online co-op portion!

      @@wanderbots Ah ok, I thought that it is something wrong with the game.
      Critical stance helps to improve the game - I am glad you enjoyed it, thanks! I will let you know when the full version will be close to release!

      @@TAnima I'm honestly so proud of all of this, what started as a random project in r/incrementalgames got all the way to a demo played by wanderbots can't wait to see where this game will go!

    I've seen at least a few of these "every time you buy an item it gets more expensive" types of games where you can freely sell things, they refund the last purchase price, and the price goes back to that. Meaning you don't lose or gain anything by deleting a bunch of things and placing them all again.
    I think this game could also benefit from that, because maybe you just spent a whole lot of money on something that's actually kinda useless. Or maybe it would just be easier to deleting a bunch of stuff and placing it again would just be easier than moving all of it. It just helps to avoid player frustration.
    I think this game could also benefit from a "casual mode", where you don't pay tax.

    As much as wander hates tutorials on rails vs dismissible ones..
    It's the only way to insure he doesn't make it to end game not knowing a basic mechanic like moving a node, heheh.

      @Alpha_Synergy Місяць тому +1

      So, for future reference (hopefully he plays more of this), how do you move nodes?

    • @TAnima
      @TAnima Місяць тому +7

      @@Alpha_Synergy You have to hold it for a few seconds with LMB or instantly with SHIFT - so you will grab it. Additionaly you can hold CTRL to not break connections if possible :)

      Yeah I goofed on this one. I just hate sorting through extremely basic information when I'm trying to play and just started reflexively closing them.

    • @TAnima
      @TAnima Місяць тому +5

      @@wanderbots Sorry for that, my fault. I will have to plan crucial info differently and add an in-game wiki just in case players would like to learn more or find out how to deal with parts where they stuck. Your feedback is helpful, thanks! :)

    as a European the American constant tax problem is so strange. what do you mean they aren't just deduced from you automatically with everything you do and you only file for refunds?

      From a comment by wander in response to the dev, that's a recording issue, not a game issue.
