Why are you telling my wife I don’t need expensive running shoes?! Teamwork makes the dream work, Fordy.
my bad
😂💯
You tell her?
She gets the Master Card bill, Pablo. I haven’t figured out a way around it… I had her convinced that they were absolutely essential, and then Fordy.
Disagree with the gear I need all the shoes 😁😁 but yeah great straight to the point vid that people need to hear 🥇
Especially the new SB2 🎉
hahahahaha
@@jamesfinneran9039 It's a must. Even though I picked up SB1 3 months ago and only put 125K in it. My Klarna account is screaming already...
YES, YES & DOUBLE YES - absolutely categorically agreed with everything you said.
Tks
8. You are not a runner if you cannot run continuously. If you walk during a run, you are not a true runner. What a lot of BS. 😡
total BS
Walk breaks are great to help build endurance and manage fatigue on longer training runs. I've been running for 37 years and still take walk breaks
Run streaks are the dumbest flex on instagram, it’s like giving yourself a high five for doing a bowel movement every day.
Another one: the idea that you need to pay a premium for a designated "super trainer." Last year's used or deeply discounted race shoes will be just as if not more versatile and save you money for your utilities bill ;)
You’re right you don’t need expensive gear
*laughs in my 50% off ($145 cad) mizuno wave rebellion pro 1*
Tik Tok, never been anywhere near it... LOL. Is the calf all fixed now Christoff! 🙂
Totally agree with all of these! To add to the weight loss part, you can run all the darn time and won’t lose anything if you don’t have the right diet. Calories in/calories out. There’s no way around it, even with running. 😎
I’ve been running for 30 years with very few injuries and I’ve never stretched before a run.
Bad knees, weak ankles took up running at 44 bulletproof now 😅
I ran my first half marathon in women's aerobic shoes! 😂
I’m 63 with 20 years of running behind me and I’ve found as I get older that 2 things are key to longevity…
1. Rest and Routine
2. Train less to race more.
Good work as always Fordy 😉
Thank you
as someone with bad knees I can say running is defined bad if you use in the wrong shoes, but finding the right shoe (in my case the True Motion Nevos) enabled me to run much more and significantly improve my knee issues.
Myth 5 : thought he said running was only for w*nkers - I said this is bound to involve soar
🤣
Do you have a link to your video on dynamic stretching... cant seem to find it.

Stretching
Dynamic Before &
Static After for me
@@cpandsooz I would have to find the report but The Rugby Football Union of England found no or minimal benefit from static stretching pre activities but found that post activity had a significant impact on reducing injuries.
cool
Amen to that Fordy! 🙏🏼
Great video Chris! Thanks a lot from Switzerland!
My pleasure!
Absolutely spot on Chris, best video you've done! Myths totally busted!! I didn't start running until I was 49 and I've done pretty well!
Thank you
Hey Fordy stay tuned, EddBud may reply to your request :) I sent him a brief comment note and he replied he’ll check the inbox 😅
I await his email
OMG absolutely love this Chris.
Everyone needs to know.
Thanks so much, you have really made my day and weekend.
Looking forward to getting out there. Brilliant. 👏👏👏
Glad you enjoyed it
"You need a running plan to improve." For the vast majority of runners, nah. Consistent work put in over time will lead to improvements. Probably not as quickly or efficiently as you would with a plan, sure, but you can get pretty decent with no plans.
consistency is king ...oh hopefully RUNNA dont see this ;-)
I initially took up running on the treadmill as a form of weight loss, along with the stair treadmill and rowing machine. I eventually caught the running bug and now absolutely love it. I have learnt too though that going full pelt every time is terrible for you. It really is crucial to mix up the speeds you go at for both better performance and mental well-being. I often find aerobic running (Zone 3) to be the most beneficial for me mentally. I love a good rest day too
yep
As always Chris you nailed it very sound honest advice there people as the man himself would say …your welcome
thank you
Great advice and delivery. No nonsense, straight talking.
Thank you
Love my rest days!
Me too
