BMW X5 (E70) Stuck hood

how to open stuck hood on your E70. This is a 2013 model but same would apply to earlier E70 models. This is only for the passenger side stuck hood which is more common. you will have to remove the front grill, by pulling in out. Then use a pry bar to create gap between the radiator and plastic groves. Then using a yard stick or quarter inch or even smaller steel bar, probe the latch to click open. Be patient as it may take several attempts.
