Best pairs exhibition number I've seen. Dramatic interpretation of music "Come What May" from "Moulin Rouge." The flying death spiral is spectacular. Throw triple was so huge that it made Dick Button, one of the TV commentators, go "Uhh!" Certainly not your typical watered-down exhibition routine. Thanks for posting and sharing it! One of my most favorite of their exhibition programs.....from one of the greatest figure-skating pairs in the history of the sport. I cried all during their exhibition program after they won the 2010 Olympics (she was dressed in a gorgeous white dress) -- that's not on YT anymore, but a similar program is from their CoC win, I think that same year or a year before. Their programs at WC 2003 and 2004 still give me goosebumps: such a wonderful combination of athleticism, artistry, and emotional connection. I've seen just a couple of 'good' pairs duos over the years, but none that touched me the way Shen and Zhao did.
Wow, I still have tears in my eyes after so many years and after watching it so many times! They are just amazing! So deserve the Olympics Gold!!! They've been at that high level just for so many years and it's just incredible.
Shen and Zhao skated so many memorable exhibitions over the years, but this is one of my all-time favorites; still gives me goosebumps and brings tears to my eyes. The music is perfect; their connection is perfect. (And to think that their exhibition at the gala after they won the 2010 Olympics was just as exquisite....but this was the first exhibition program I saw of theirs and was just mesmerized.)
WOW!! They really are something very special. That thrown triple was breath-taking. LOVE it when a pairs couple show such emotional connection. The only other pair I've ever seen show that connection is Gordeeva and Grinkov (different style - but just as good imo.) Good luck to them in Vancouver. They have two great programs this year.
Just beautiful. They are perfect athletic skaters but in this program, adding the romantic element with some professional moves makes them perfect skaters in all areas. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!! If his legs heals completely, I believe they could win an Olympic gold metal. Personally I enjoyed this performance better than any amateur competition.
Dick Button is right... they could not have done this just two seasons before these Worlds. They really turned a corner after SLC and became such a breathtaking pair in all aspects. This is my favorite program from them.

It's been ten years after this performance but whenever I hear moulin rouge ost, I can't help coming back to watch this clip.
