Had another great day! A lot of cars showed up and turned around. I figure they all went to that spot I showed at the end. Get there early! Also, yep, I spelled subscribe wrong again. It's a hassle to re-encode and re-upload so I need to be more careful. I'm still learning and I'm sure I'll get better at it.
Thank you for this video. I lived in Fortescue 40 yrs ago and miss it so very badly. crabbing was my favorite thing to do. I loved going to Maple Lake also. We lived right across from Beaver Dam. Eat some of those crabs for me
Fortescue is a great area! I remember renting the crabbing boats near Beaver Dam and going out on the Ms. Fortescue. I’m glad you enjoyed watching. I’m hoping to have many more to come. The crabs and spaghetti came out great! I’ve been eating it for 3 days now.
Great Video!!! Brought back so many wonderful memories of Crabbing in that very spot with you years ago when you were just a kid! Glad you went there and that the crabs are still plentiful in that area. This Video made me so Homesick to go back to Jersey and do some crabbing but I'm told that here in Houston there are some great places to go crabbing at near the Gulf too.
Last time I’ve been to Turkey point was roughly 2014 Amber about an hour and a half away please hasn’t changed a bit. I usually go to Fortescue. Also I’m thinking about going tomorrow. I just hate going by myself cause I don’t like to talk to myself, thanks for an awesome video it has not changed
Thanks! It's a very popular place. I'm positive that if I didn't arrive at sunrise on Sunday morning that I would be one of the many, MANY cars that turned around after seeing someone was there.
Enjoy Fishing Fortescue in the fall for White Perch, never been to this location but will check it out, looks like it could be good for White Perch as well. Thanks for the video!
If you do check it out let us know if you catch anything. I only saw tons of mud minnows and whatever it was that I managed to hook. It would be interesting to see how someone that actually knows what they are doing can do.
I was there last year and the green heads were so bad i didnt enen get out of my truck. Great videos My topless traps (18) are getting pretty rusty so i might switch up to these ring traps. Keep on keepin on
I remember the greenheads being out of control when I was there years ago. I picked a few cans of Repel Max just in case but I guess it's still early for them. It might be an early/late season spot only.
@@timconnelly6340 it’s a place called Turkey Point. Apple Maps said it was in Fortescue, so that’s what I went with. I think I put the GPS coordinates in the description, copy and paste them in chrome should pull it up.

There are so many areas that look like they would be great places to crab and fish around there. Only problem is finding the ones that are accessible. Thanks for the sub!
@thandastones888 The bugs weren't much of a problem at all while I was there. It was way too windy on the bridge. There are actually a lot of places to crab down there but Turkey Point was the only place I remember. I know there are spots in Dividing Creek, Beaver Dam and Fortescue and probably many more. I use it when I can get it. unfortunately there weren't any bait shops in the area. Or much of anything for that matter. I do look for them along the route on Google maps and pick up bunker when I can.

No commercial style crab pots may be placed in a creek less that 50’ wide at mean low water. This video is being reported to NJ Fish and Game.

Lmao what an asshole maybe they should try out to be a game warden if they are so concerned.
The fish looks to be small croakers and white perch
